It's time to go back to the museum. Deadline reports that production company 21 Laps is working on a reboot of the fantasy comedy "Night at the Museum." Tripper Clancy is working on the script for the reboot. Plot details are under wraps other than it being a reimagining rather than a continuation of the previous films.

Shawn Levy and Dan Levine are producing for 21 Laps. There is no word on a director for the reboot.
Levy, who is better known these days for helming the Marvel hit "Deadpool & Wolverine," directed all three of the live-action "Night at the Museum" films. The animated feature was helmed by Matt Danner.
20th Century Studios
The first "Night at the Museum" film debuted in 2006, based on the 1993 children's book of the same name by Milan Trenc. Ben Stiller plays Larry Daley, a night-shift security guard at the American Museum of Natural History in New York.
Daley finds out on his first shift that the museum's exhibit come to life after sunset.
The first film earned $575 million at the worldwide box office, prompting the first sequel, "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian" in 2009. The sequel took in $413 million.
It wasn't until 2014 that the third and final (until now) of the live-action films released, "Night of the Museum: Secret of the Tomb," which earned $363 million.
The first three films featured an impressive ensemble cast that included Robin Williams, Owen Wilson, Ricky Gervais, Rami Malek, Mickey Rooney, Dick Van Dyke, and more.
There's no word on whether or not any of the surviving members of the first four films' casts will be asked back for the reboot.
While "Secret of the Tomb" was the end of the live-action films, an animated feature, "Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again," released on Disney+ in 2022.
The hero of the fourth film is Nick Daley, Larry's son, voiced by Joshua Bassett.
While it went straight to streaming, "Kahmunrah Rises Again" proved to be the most critically hailed of all the "Night at the Museum" films.
The animated feature enjoys a 77% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes, making it the only entry in the franchise so far with a score above 48%.

Bride Ready to Walk down Aisle, but Duck Has Other Plans: 'Her Spot'
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. The anticipation before a wedding ceremony is typically reserved for the bride's grand entrance. However, at a recent wedding in a picturesque garden, an uninvited, feathered guest stole the show. In a TikTok video, the bride's best friend captured the moment when a duck waltzed down the aisle before the bride. Michelle, 28, spoke to Newsweek about the surprise before her best friend graced the aisle. "POV: The bride is ready to walk down the aisle, but this duck had other plans," she captioned the video. "No, because why did it walk directly to her spot." Photos from Michelle's TikTok video of her best friend's wedding. Photos from Michelle's TikTok video of her best friend's wedding. @miche8_/TikTok Michelle, who lives in New York but attended the wedding in Denmark, explained that her best friend, Gabby, met the groom while studying abroad in Copenhagen. The magical moment unfolded in a "beautiful garden at their venue where benches and flowers were set up," Michelle said. As guests settled in and awaited the music for the bridal party procession, one guest spotted the duck walking down the aisle. "Immediately everyone started watching the duck's big moment and we were all cracking up," she added. The duck's impromptu solo walk down the aisle, seemingly heading straight for the bride's waiting spot, brought immediate joy to the ceremony. "All guests and the couple themselves thought this was hilarious," Michelle said. "Some even noted it as a sign of good luck." The unexpected interlude sparked a flurry of comical and thoughtful reactions online. One TikTok user wondered about bird perspectives: "If a human walks past a group of ducks do you think the ducks laugh at us?" Another user offered another theory: "[I don't know] why you're bride obviously turned into a duck, and the only way for her to turn back is true love's kiss, which she'll never get because y'all think this is really just a duck—so now she's doomed to be a duck forever." Taking a more spiritual approach, one commenter suggested that "somebody needs to look up the spiritual significance of that duck being there. My intuition tells me that was a visit from spirit." Beyond the duck's cameo, the wedding itself was a unique fusion of cultures. "The wedding day was so special and unlike any other I have been to," Michelle reflected. "It was amazing to see both cultures come together in the wonderful city where the bride and groom had met. They incorporated many Norwegian traditions that were new to us Americans, but we all left wanting to bring those traditions back home to the States. It was magical." The wedding duck has become an iconic part of Gabby and her groom's story, she said—a reminder that even on the most meticulously planned days, nature has a way of adding its own special touch.
