
CM's message on ‘World Day for International Justice'
'If there is no justice, development and prosperity remain an unfulfilled dream,' the CM said, in her message on World Day for International Justice.
She said, 'Justice is such a ray of hope which brightens the hopes and aspirations of the aggrieved without which the destiny of a nation can never be illuminated and aspirations of the people can never be fulfilled. Where there is injustice, distrust, hatred, sedition and chaos prevail.'
She highlighted, 'Injustice not only affects the individual but sedition weakens the roots of the entire society.' She vowed, 'Giving foremost priority to justice and equality in Punjab is my firm resolve. Institutions like PERA are being established to eliminate injustice.'
She outlined, 'The main aim of formulating the policies of the Punjab government is to provide equal rights and justice to every individual without any discrimination. It is our prime responsibility and our firm pledge to uphold justice across the board. The light of justice can illuminate the life of every individual in a civilized society.'

'Modern' women's college opens in Rawat
Under the education-friendly initiative of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, a Government Associate College for Women equipped with state-of-the-art facilities has been established in Jhatthial, Rawat. According to details, the college was set up in line with the CM's vision to promote education in suburban rural areas of Rawalpindi and to empower and educate women. Classes at the newly built campus will commence on August 1. The college building, designed with modern architecture, includes spacious classrooms along with well-equipped science and computer laboratories. Senior PML-N leader and Member of the National Assembly, Engineer Qamarul Islam, said the area of Chak Pelli Khan, Rawat, is being upgraded under the Model Village Programme. Speaking to The Express Tribune, he highlighted that the completion of the Nawaz Sharif Flyover has improved traffic flow on Adiala Road. He added that after the ongoing road construction is completed this year, a Green Metro Bus Service will be launched, connecting Rawat with the existing Metro Bus network of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. The MNA praised party leaders for providing numerous public facilities to his constituency in the past and promised that people-friendly projects will continue in the future.

CM hails Kashmiris' unwavering courage
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has paid rich tribute to the resilience and sacrifices of the Kashmiri people on Youm-e-Ihtehsal Kashmir, expressing unwavering solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) in their just struggle for the right to self-determination. In her message on Kashmir Exploitation Day, the CM said, "I salute the brave brothers and sisters of occupied Jammu and Kashmir who have written a history of resistance with their blood. Freedom of Kashmir is not just a dream, it is inscribed in destiny." Referring to the illegal and unilateral actions taken by India on August 5, 2019, she said that despite significant escalation in atrocities over the past six years, the courage of Kashmiris remains unwavering and truly commendable. She reiterated, "Kashmir will decide its own fate. We stand united with our Kashmiri brethren and will continue to do so." The CM condemned the silence of the international community, terming it a "dark chapter in human history" and a "charge sheet against global conscience". ' CM Maryam Nawaz expressed confidence that the day is not far when the sun of freedom will rise over Kashmir. "The sacrifices of thousands of Kashmiri martyrs will not go in vain. Resolving the Kashmir issue is essential for lasting peace and stability in the subcontinent," she added.

Maryam pays tributes to Kashmiris on ‘Kashmir Exploitation Day'
LAHORE: 'I salute sacrifices of brave brothers and sisters of Indian Occupied Jammu & Kashmir,' said Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif in her message on 'Kashmir Exploitation Day,' while paying tribute to the sacrifices of Kashmiri brothers and sisters in their struggle for right to self-determination. She added, 'Freedom of occupied Jammu & Kashmir has been inscribed on the tablet of destiny. Despite relentless increase in Indian atrocities since 5th August 2019, the courage of Kashmiris is commendable.' She said, 'We stand together, are and will continue to stand together. Issue of Indian Occupied Jammu & Kashmir is a question of global conscience.' She underscored, 'Indifference and criminal silence of international community on Indian atrocities in occupied Jammu & Kashmir is a dark chapter in human history.' The CM said, 'Sun of freedom will rise soon for Kashmiri brothers and sisters. Solution to Kashmir issue is essential for lasting peace in the subcontinent. Sacrifices of thousands of Kashmiri martyrs will not go in vain.' The Chief Minister said, 'India is trying unsuccessfully to suppress right of self-determination of Kashmiris through oppression. Kashmir is beating in the heart of every Pakistani.' She regretted, 'Due to India's oppression, Kashmiris have been living under lockdown for a decade now. Constant indifference to inhuman atrocities against Kashmiris is a charge sheet against world's conscience.' Maryam Nawaz Sharif vowed, 'India's oppression is temporary, but Kashmir's freedom is destined. Violation of human rights in occupied Kashmir is unacceptable. World urgently needs to pay attention to human rights violations in Kashmir.' The Chief Minister said, 'India's occupation is illegal, immoral and inhuman.
