Travis Kelce turns to new sport in bid to get in shape for NFL season after Taylor Swift date night

Daily Mail12 hours ago

Move over Jannik Sinner, here comes Travis Kelce! The Kansas City Chiefs star was spotted entering the world of racket sports, specifically padel, for a Friday morning workout after a Floridian date night with Taylor Swift.
Kelce, wearing a maroon shirt, black mesh shorts, and a gray hat, was seen holding a paddle ball bag, entering a workout facility in Palm Beach, Florida on Friday morning.
Kelce's foray into a new sport comes a day after his latest glitzy date night with his 14-time Grammy winning girlfriend.
The lovely couple visited Buccan, a James Beard-nominated restaurant, in Palm Beach, leaving the establishment hand-in-hand and greeted fans before leaving in a black SUV.
The restaurant is located a short drive away from Kelce's 20million mansion in nearby Boca Raton.
Swift and Kelce have been enjoying time together before the 35-year-old tight end has to report to training camp next month before the beginning of the NFL regular season in September.

Earlier this week, Swift's fans convinced themselves that the pop star was pregnant this week thanks to an optical illusion.
A number of fans found Swift's pregnancy illusion hilarious, with one commenting, 'I thought Travis Kelce was becoming a dad for a sec.'
Taylor, 35, spent the weekend with bestie Selena Gomez in New York, though she honored her boyfriend Travis during the outing.
Swift and Gomez, 32, were spotted at Monkey Bar in Manhattan on Saturday, while Kelce was in Kansas City for the Big Slick charity event.
While Kelce wasn't present for the outing, Swift was clearly thinking about him, choosing to wear a sweet gift from the Kansas City Chiefs star.
The pop icon was spotted wearing a custom Wove x Michelle Wie West gold and diamond tennis friendship bracelet with the letters 'TNT' during the outing, according to TMZ.
Kelce's mindset coming into the NFL season has been questioned after his drop in individual success from last year and his wait to confirm he was coming back to the Chiefs for this fall.
The 6-foot-5 Kelce's 823 receiving yards and three touchdowns were each his lowest since his rookie season a dozen years ago, where he barely touched the field. The tight end's blossoming media career outside the NFL was blamed as a distraction, as well as his romance with Swift.

Kansas City Chiefs linked with bombshell trade for $57million Cleveland Browns star

After trading away a big-money offensive lineman contract in the form of Joe Thuney, the Kansas City Chiefs have been linked to trade for a different big-money offensive lineman. Thuney, who was earning $16m a year, was moved to the Chicago Bears as Kansas City dealt with something of a cap crunch. But with the Chiefs still in need of some upgrades at offensive line, they could begin looking around the league for a partner. In an article for Pro Football Network, writer Brandon Austin believes the Chiefs could find that help in the form of Cleveland Browns pending free agent Wyatt Teller. Teller, a two-time All-Pro and three-time Pro-Bowler, is entering the final year of a $57million deal and carries a $14.175m cap hit. PFN named Kansas City as a potential trade destination, especially considering the various offensive line issues they experienced last season. The outlet points out that if the Browns move Teller after June 1, they could save $7m in cap room while taking on $19.2m in dead cap through 2028. While Teller does play right guard, the publication thinks his versatility could allow him to slot in on the left side of the line where Kansas City needs more help. But in order to facilitate that, the Chiefs would need to make a trade that would balance their books. Currently, Kansas City has the fourth-least cap space in the NFL at $11.25m. Not only is that roughly $3m short of Teller's contract, it would also severely hamper the Chiefs' ability to make a mid-season move. Of course, this all depends on who or what Kansas City sends to Cleveland as part of this deal. The Chiefs' offensive line issues were clearest in their Super Bowl LIX defeat at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles - who sacked Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes six times, despite not calling one single blitz.

Surging Rays hang on to defeat Marlins 4-3

June 7 - Right-hander Zack Littell won in his sixth straight decision, Jonathan Aranda had two RBIs, and the red-hot Tampa Bay Rays edged the visiting Miami Marlins 4-3 on Friday afternoon in the opener of a three-game series. Coming off the Rays' first complete game since Ryan Yarbrough in 2021, 647 straight contests ago, Littell (6-5) allowed one run on six hits while striking out four with no walks. Aranda was 2-for-4 and Junior Caminero added two doubles. Taylor Walls (double), Curtis Mead (stolen base) and Matt Thaiss (RBI) had two hits apiece from the bottom of the order. Brandon Lowe scored twice and walked. The Rays improved to 13-3 since May 20 and evened their season series with Miami after four games while climbing to a season-best five games over .500. The Marlins lost their fifth in a row. Miami's Agustin Ramirez was 3-for-4 with a solo home run, and Otto Lopez hit a two-run homer. Eric Wagaman went 3-for-4 while Dane Myers had two hits with a double. Marlins right-hander Edward Cabrera (2-2) surrendered three runs (one earned) on six hits over four innings. He struck out five with two walks. With the game moved up to an afternoon start with the rock band Metallica playing a Friday night show across the street at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' stadium, the Rays scored on Aranda's first-inning single. In the third, Miami rookie manager Clayton McCullough was ejected for the first time in his career by home plate umpire Chad Fairchild for arguing base-path interference on Xavier Edwards, who collided with Aranda at first base. Edwards was also ejected. After Miami first baseman Liam Hicks committed a leadoff error in the third, Aranda and Jake Mangum each had RBI groundouts for a 3-0 lead. In the fourth, Ramirez got the Marlins on the board by hitting a 3-0 fastball from Littell for his eighth homer. Thaiss tacked on an insurance run with an RBI single in the seventh for his first Rays multi-hit game, but Lopez's two-run homer off Edwin Uceta in the eighth trimmed it to one. Closer Pete Fairbanks posted his 12th save with a perfect ninth. --Field Level Media

I've been the 60 weddings in the past decade – here's my ultimate survival guide: SOPHIA MONEY-COUTTS

Ding dong, here we go again. Wedding season's back. Jeff Bezos is getting hitched this month in Venice; Selena Gomez is rumoured to be doing it in , and will go full meringue when she walks down the aisle towards ? What to wear! Hat or no hat? And do you really have to contribute to the happy couple's honeymoon fund? Over the past decade or so, I've been to upwards of 60 weddings. Splendid, on the one hand. Church bells, big white dress, glass of fizz – don't mind if I do. At a conservative estimate, I've eaten hundreds of salmon canapés and sat through hours of speeches (sitting if I was lucky; standing if I wasn't).
