Inside Sydney Sweeney's grueling exercise and diet regime as star sizzles in swimsuit alongside mystery man

Sydney Sweeney turned heads this weekend as she soaked up the sun in a swimsuit during a lakefront getaway in northern Idaho. The 27-year-old actress was seen cozying up to a mystery man, sharing playful moments and stepping away from her group of friends and family to spend some alone time with him. While some fans were left wondering who her potential new beau is, many have also been marveling at her sculpted physique. Sweeney, who is set to star as former professional boxer Christy Martin in upcoming biopic titled Christy, proudly flaunted her figure that is the result of a disciplined workout routine and diet. So how exactly did she achieve her toned look? Sweeney has always had an active streak, and has credited much of her natural athleticism to her outdoorsy upbringing. 'I grew up on the water, always running around in a bikini,' she previously told Elle. 'If I wasn't swimming in the lake or the ocean, I was skiing or attempting to surf.' Summers, she explained to Women's Health, have always played a transformative role in her physique. 'I see such a change in my body after an entire summer. My arms are stronger and more sculpted. My abs are rock solid.' But her natural athleticism doesn't stop with seasonal activities. The actress also has a background in mixed martial arts (MMA), a sport she took seriously enough to compete in - and win. 'I did competitions and I got first place fighting all guys,' she once revealed to Kelly Clarkson. But lately, Sweeney's fitness game has reached a new level, thanks to intense preparation for Christy. 'I've been immersed in training to bring to life the story of an incredible woman - a true champion who fought battles both inside and outside the ring,' she shared in an Instagram post. 'Her journey is a testament to resilience, strength, and hope.' In an interview with W magazine, she explained that while training for the role of Christy, her body became completely different. 'I loved it,' she said. 'I came onboard to play Christy, and I had about three and a half months of training. I started eating. I weight-trained in the morning for an hour, kickboxed midday for about two hours, and then weight-trained again at night for an hour.' Because of this intense routine, she went up four clothes sizes. 'My boobs got bigger. And my butt got huge. It was crazy! I was like, "Oh my God." But it was amazing: I was so strong, like crazy strong,' she said. And when she isn't training to play the most successful female boxer of the 90s, she likes to stay fit through Pilates and other similar exercises. 'I like this place called SolidCore. It's a full-body high-intensity workout but on a reformer, and it's been killing my ass. I love it,' she told WSJ Magazine. The star also emphasized the physical and emotional benefits of the practice, telling Women's Health, 'It just makes me feel so toned and strong, but also elongated, and I feel so good doing that.' As for her diet? It's not as intense as you would expect. 'I love a good bowl of berries and some eggs and a bagel,' she said to Women's Health of her go-to breakfast. She explained that she loves being on the water and noticed that during the summer, her body is at its most toned Lunch is often 'something hearty,' which to her can either mean a chicken Caesar salad or even a cheeseburger. Dinner usually depends on where she is, but one cuisine always stands out: 'I love Italian… Italian's usually my go-to for dinner,' she admitted. Despite the demands of her career, Sweeney doesn't restrict herself too harshly. 'It's important to eat,' she explained. 'I definitely one day will probably start eating healthier, but I work out and I'm so active, so I'm able to balance that out. But I love food and it makes me happy.' That love for food definitely includes sweets. 'I love my sugar. I love my candy. I love my cookies and ice cream,' she admitted. 'I'll randomly find some Sour Patch Kids or some peanut M&M's,' she said. Interestingly, despite seemingly doing everything all at once, she's never turned to coffee for energy. She also loves doing outdoor sports like skiing 'I've never even tried coffee,' she previously told Bustle. Instead, she relies on sugar when she needs a pick-me-up, including Swedish Fish or 'anything gummy.' And when it comes to drinks, she keeps it simple. 'I just identify as just a water person… I never really think about alcohol, to be honest.' She explained that since her tween years, she's stayed on top of her hydration. 'Ever since I was 12 years old, I was like, "I'm just going to drink water." And I love it.' She's also partnered with flavored water brand Bai to add a little variety.

Paulina Porizkova, 60, shares VERY sexy bikini photo before bravely revealing a more realistic snap with 'no filter'

Eighties pinup Paulina Porizkova has taken off her clothes again. The 60-year-old Vogue supermodel was seen in both her sexy string bikini and her plain nude-toned lingerie in an Instagram post shared on Tuesday for her 1.2M followers. In the bikini snap, the siren looked flawless with not a mark on her skin or a hair out of place while she was lounging in a cabana by a lake. In the lingerie image, the catwalk veteran was under a less flattering light as she looked to be in poor spirits. The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue favorite took note of her two different looks and how she accepts both as she settles into her sixties. 'This is me. Vacation, pretty light, posing for a shot,' she began writing about the stunning bikini photo. And she then commented on her other look: 'This is also me. Home, not great light, not posing,' added the '80s icon about the lingerie photo. Then Porizkova wrapped it up: 'This is 60. This is 60 years of sometimes healthy eating, sometimes not. 60 years of sometimes working out, sometimes not. 60 years of doing the right things followed by doing the wrong things and over again and again.' The Prostějov native also noted: 'It's 60 years of learning of what works and what doesn't. And just as I think I've figured it out, everything changes and I have to start again. 'The beauty of 60 is that now I understand the importance is IN the lesson, not passing the exam.' Her hashtags were for 'between jlo and betty white,' 'this is 60' as well as 'no makeup and no filter. She also said that she was keepin' it real.' Her celebrity followers loved the post with Charisma Carpenter noting: 'Stunner. But also, fierce, intuitive, a talented writer, resilient, empathic and so very intelligent. Inspiring! Hope to connect again soon.' Alyssa Milano wrote, 'The most beautiful at any age and in any light.' Linda Evangelista used a proud hands emoji as Selma Blair commented: 'Gorgeous ❤️.' She often talks aging. In 2023 Porizkova said she used to take her body 'for granted.' The model is still keen to stay in shape even though it takes 'much more time and effort' but explained that it is all worth it because it allows her to keep moving through the 'beauty of the world.' She told SheKnows: 'Staying in shape takes much more time and effort, but it allows me to fully inhabit this shell I was given at birth, something I took for granted most of my life. But not anymore. Now it's a deliberate decision to allow it to work as best as it can, being grateful for its ability to move me through the world to keep harvesting the beauty of it all. Pain included.' Meanwhile, the former America's Next Top Model judge was married to singer Ric Ocasek from 1989 until his death in 2019 and has children Jonathan, 31, and 26-year-old Oliver with him but faced financial hardship and had to sell her house when she learned she had been left out of his will. Paulina wrote her memoir No Filter and admitted she wished she could have just told of her struggles on Instagram but knew she had to 'set boundaries' on her revelations because it could have affected the potential of a house sale. She added: 'It was such a ridiculous situation to be in. In fact, all that kept going through my brain at that time was, 'I need to write a scripted TV series about a woman who this happens to and she has a fabulous, beautiful house, but she has zero money to pay for it. And she can't tell anybody that she has zero money to pay for it because then she won't be able to sell it at its proper price. 'So she's trying to act rich, but she really can't afford to do it.' Like, I had the most nonsensical and useless ideas! I had to set boundaries on what I would reveal. I wish I could have just given it up on Instagram and [said], 'I'm so f***** right now. 'Like, I don't have money for groceries, and my friends are buying all the food, and I'm freaking out about trying to sell my house.' But that would have been sawing off my legs at the knee. It would have made me feel better, but it would have screwed me.

The Chase's Darragh Ennis shares natural method to eliminate pesky house flies

The Chase's Darragh Ennis, also known as The Menace on the ITV quiz show, has a genius hack for keeping flies out of your home - and it's all natural and costs just £12 You could ward off flies this summer with a "brilliant" tip shared by The Chase star Darragh Ennis. As an entomologist, Darragh has a clever method to eliminate the insects from your home, especially if you have houseplants that draw them in. ‌ In a recent TikTok video, the 44-year-old TV personality, also known as The Menace on the ITV quiz show, shared a straightforward and natural approach to tackle the small black flies that can prove troublesome during the summer months. These pests, called fungus gnats, can be "really hard" to eradicate and frequently inhabit houseplants, creating annoyance and prompting many people to abandon their plants entirely. ‌ Darragh said in his video: "If you've got little insects flying around your house, it can be really annoying. ‌ "Now, I'm an entomologist, so I love insects, but I still don't want those tiny little black flies all over my house, and they're really hard to get rid of - especially when they live in your houseplants. "They're called fungus gnats because they live in compost and stuff, and they're a big pest in mushroom growhouses and things. Getting rid of them with chemicals is really hard." ‌ Darragh recommends a strategy to maintain your houseplants whilst banishing the flies at the same time - utilising nematodes. He explained: "You've probably never heard of them, but they're little microscopic worms that live in the soil. "They're probably the most common animal on the planet, but we can't see them. There's billions upon billions upon billions of them." He continued: "One type of them crawls inside insects and kills them. Now, it's a bit gruesome, but it's a natural way of killing them. ‌ "You can just order these online. You just put these into a watering can and then pour them on your house plants. The best bit about this is that they crawl through the soil and hunts through the larvae and everything so they're gone. "So if you want to get rid of those little flies and you don't want loads of chemicals, buy some nematodes. I studied them for my PhD, and now they're useful in my house." Darragh also showed off the packet of nematodes he had bought online, branded as Sciarid Fly Nematodes, available on Amazon for roughly £12. How to ward off flies You can prevent flies from entering your home using several natural solutions, including utilising herbs and plants the pests despise the scent of. These include basil, lavender, mint, bay leaves, and marigold. Then you can also whip up an essential oil spray by mixing one cup of water, 10-15 drops of an essential oil such as peppermint, lemongrass, citronella, or lavender, and one tablespoon of vodka (optional, but aids in blending the oils) into a spray bottle and spritzing it around windows, doors, and other entry points in your home. Another popular method to keep flies at bay, especially tiny ones like fruit flies, is to create a homemade trap. This can be done by combining apple cider vinegar and washing up liquid in a bowl, covering it with cling film, and then piercing a few small holes in the top.
