I did a haul of the new Oxford Street IKEA whilst on my lunch break & managed to kit out my home with bargains under £3

HAVING recently stepped onto the housing ladder, I've become completely obsessed with kitting out my new place.
But let's be honest – being a full-time mortgage payer means saving money is now my number one priority.

That's why IKEA has quickly become my go-to for affordable homeware that doesn't break the bank.
The only problem? My nearest store is a bit of a trek, and we all know that 'popping' into IKEA for something small can quickly turn into an all-day adventure.
So, when I heard IKEA had opened a new store on
Oxford
Street, I was beyond excited.
Suddenly, I could nip in during my lunch break, grab what I needed, and tick a huge job off my to-do list – all without the hassle of traffic or making a day out of it.

I even had time to grab a coffee. Total game-changer.
Walking into the store honestly felt like stepping into Narnia. Who would've thought you could find a full-on IKEA on one of the busiest shopping streets in London?
This is the second of IKEA's smaller-format stores, but it still has 6,000 products on display – even though only 3,500 are available to buy in-store, with the rest available to order.
Spread across two floors, there's more than enough to help you kit out your home.

I managed to pick up some absolute bargains, like the RINNIG Dish Cloths, £1.00 for a pack, – perfect for tackling kitchen messes – and the STORAVAN 3-Piece Bathroom Set, £1.75, which instantly gave my bathroom a stylish, cohesive look.
I also grabbed some IKEA 365+ Coasters, £1.50, which are both functional and chic, and a HÅLLBAR Bin with Lid, £3.00, ideal for small spaces with its sleek design.

To keep things organised, the TJENA Storage Box, £3.00, was a no-brainer, and I couldn't resist the IVRIG Glasses, £1.50 each, which look far more expensive than their price tag.
I also got my hands on two sets of sheer curtains for £9 each.
And don't worry – they haven't forgotten the essentials, like their famous meatballs or iconic food items.
There's a food store area where you can stock up on IKEA classics for your kitchen cupboards or freezer.
Like any other IKEA, the store has the usual arrows guiding you around the entrance floor, where the showroom and restaurant are located.
The basement floor is where you shop and check out, but here's the twist – there are only self-checkouts, no manned tills.

Unlike most IKEA stores, you won't be able to get larger furniture items here - it's too much to lug on the tube home

It's fast, efficient, and perfect for city life.
I managed to complete the entire store and grab everything I needed in under an hour. If there was anything I couldn't carry, I could simply order it to be delivered to my home.
Overhearing people in the queue, I wasn't the only one impressed – many praised the store for being so 'handy' and how it's perfect for people to 'quickly pop in on their lunch break,' just like I did.
IKEA on Oxford Street is an absolute win – stylish, affordable, and so convenient.
It's IKEA, but made for London life, and I'm officially
hooked

Tesco's F&F is one of the best-loved brands on the high street, and is constantly wowing us with its stylish but affordable fashion. From cute dresses to on-trend work attire, the supermarket fast-fashion range always hits the mark, and its new summer collection is no exception. The gorgeous ivory frock is made from pure cotton, meaning it will keep you cool in the heat, whilst the sweet tie belt cinches your waist and gives you a flattering figure. The flowing skirt helps to hide your tummy, plus, the long sleeves mean you can pair the dress with tights and wear it right through autumn. How has Tesco's F&F upped its game By Fabulous' Fashion Editor Clemmie Fieldsend ZARA has become a high street staple in recent years thanks to its hot-off-the-catwalk designs and affordable prices. But recently those prices have risen with the brand's popularity. However, if you are looking for high fashion inspired outfits with low price tags you needn't drag yourself to your local shops, just head to the supermarket instead. F&F has come a long way from selling a few backs of T-shirts and fluffy dressing gowns and is now a must have shopping destination for thousands. They produce good quality, long lasting and on trend clothes that puts others to shame. F&F is filled with Zara dupes and other looks inspired by our favourite shops that will set you back less than £50 - and you can get them while you pick up your dinner. I for one love F&F denim, it's durable, fits really well and has all the best silhouettes. So even if you're not looking for reasonable prices but just want good clothes, get yourself to Tesco. The leopard print gown would look perfect paired with sandals for a summer look, and can easily be transitioned into your winter wardrobe if paired with boots. Shoppers are also loving the F&F Edit Palm Print Bardot Midi Dress in Multi Red, which has been slashed from £25 to just £12. Advertisement The stylish frock features an exotic tropical pattern and a belt that will help to hide your tummy. The long-sleeves and elasticated neckline provide a flattering and comfortable look, which can be dressed up with heels, or dressed down with sandals. Tesco fans are also loving the F&F Cotton Rich Sleeveless Ribbed Racer Midi Dress in Mink which has been slashed from £16 to just £9, a saving of almost 60%. The simple dress can easily be chucked on in hot weather, and the sleeveless design will help to cool down sweaty armpits.

I'm a mum of 12 – £4.50 IKEA buy is a live-saver for our busy council house bathroom, it lasts forever too

A MUM-OF-12 has revealed the bargain IKEA buy she swears by to keep on top of the busy family bathroom. Zoe, 47, and Ben Sullivan, 50, and their bumper brood make up one of Scotland's biggest families. 3 Mum-of-12 Zoe Sullivan swears by an IKEA gadget for her bathroom Credit: Zoe Sullivan 3 The mum admits it's hard to store all the family's toiletries in the bathroom Credit: Zoe Sullivan 3 The IKEA caddy has racked up rave five-star reviews Credit: Zoe Sullivan The pair are parents to Elizabeth, 20, Olivia, 18, Noah, 15, Eva, 13, Toby, 12, Agnes, seven, Joseph, six, Flo, three, and two sets of twins, Charlotte and Isabelle, 17, and Leah and Erin, nine. They live in a six-bedroom council house in Burghead, Moray, where they regularly document their hectic lives on their YouTube channel. With 14 people sharing two bathrooms, Zoe said she has to clean the space "all the time". And storage for everybody's toiletries can be a nightmare. In a short social media video, Zoe said: "We were in desperate need of some new bathroom caddies. "I had these metal ones which have been okay. I got them from B&M, but obviously because they get wet all the time they rust really easily and they don't stick all that well." The mum then stumbled across the perfect £4.50 buy from IKEA. Hailing the TISKEN basket with suction cup, she said: "These are great if you don't want to drill anything into the wall, especially if you are renting. "We've got a lot of stuff in the bathroom. There's a lot of people and this is our main bathroom. "But once you stick those things down, they are not going anywhere. I was fed up of my council bathroom looking like a s--thole so transformed it with stick on tiles & an £80 shower screen "They're plastic so they don't rust, easily cleaned just and they they're massive. They hold so much." IKEA bosses say the caddie "puts things within easy reach" without having to drill any holes into your walls. They add: "The tight-grip suction cups won't let go of smooth surfaces like glass or tiles – unless you want them to." And Zoe isn't the only person raving about them, with the handy gadget racking up five-star reviews on the website. One person said: "I was concerned about it staying put, due to only the suction hooks that hold it secure against the surface. This is unbelievable secure. Brilliant." A second wrote: "Bought these because all the metal ones I have bought have rusted. Basic but holds a ton of products. Very secure when installed. We have some texture on our tiles and it's still very secure." Meanwhile, a third added: "Bought this for all the bottles that drive me mad in the shower. "Hubby was skeptical, said wouldn't hold etc but he's been proven wrong, so strong and stays out even full of bottles and no chrome to rust either!"
