ALBAWABA – Foto, a new photo-sharing application, was recently launched. The app is strongly competing with Instagram. Also Read Google Maps finally addresses major gap in Its application Foto new app, now released
The new photo-sharing application, Foto, is designed for photographers, artists, and anyone who simply loves images. The app is gaining popularity by marketing itself as the best photo-sharing platform without the noise of traditional social media.Users can share their photos without pressure, comparison, or the need for validation — unlike what happens on other social media platforms.Additionally, the app allows users to share their photos based on a chronological display of content, without ads or algorithms.
According to the company, the application is now available on both iOS and Android stores and is strongly competing with Instagram, the American photo and video-sharing social networking service owned by Meta Platforms.
The application solely focuses on photos and images, avoiding the invasion of videos, the over-reliance on algorithmically selected content, and short-form features like Reels. Also Read Wikipedia Co-Founder to Launch New Social Media Platform No followers or likes
The Foto application is limited to sharing photos, and the number of followers and likes for each user is always hidden. This move comes as the team behind the application aims to focus on the purpose of sharing photos and high-quality content without digital interference or social media propaganda. However, the app still allows the use of hashtags and provides the ability to search for specific content through tag search.
Users can easily search and view content in chronological order without the interference of ads or promoted content. Each user has their own account, which the app refers to as a 'portfolio.' Users can add their photos and arrange them freely. Subscription and benefits
The Foto application offers subscription plans for its users, including the Foto Ambassador program, priced at $5 per month, $50 per year, and $500 for a lifetime subscription.
This plan gives users a special badge on their portfolio, early access to updates, and additional pro features.

Google Temporarily Halts AI-Powered "Ask Photos" Feature - Jordan News
Google has temporarily paused the rollout of its "Ask Photos" feature in the Google Photos app—a search tool powered by the Gemini AI model—according to a report by The Verge. اضافة اعلان Originally announced at last year's I/O conference, the feature allows users to search for photos using natural language queries like 'me and Alice laughing' or 'Emma drawing in the backyard,' instead of relying on traditional keywords. Although Google began rolling out the feature to a limited group of Android and iOS users last September, it has now been partially suspended to address performance issues. 'Ask Photos is not quite where we want it to be in terms of speed, result quality, or overall user experience,' wrote Jamie Aspinall, Product Manager at Google Photos, on X (formerly Twitter). 'So, we've temporarily paused the rollout for a very limited number of users while we work on improvements.' His remarks follow user complaints that the new AI search was slower than the traditional method and lacked clear advantages. In response, Aspinall stated that an improved version of the feature is expected to be released within the next two weeks, promising faster and more accurate search results. Google's Ongoing AI Feature Struggles This isn't the first time Google has had to pause an AI-related feature. Last year, the company temporarily disabled its AI Overviews feature after it returned inaccurate—and at times bizarre—answers. Google also suspended image generation capabilities in Gemini after historically inaccurate outputs were reported. Coinciding with the pause, Google announced a separate new feature to enhance search functionality in Google Photos. Users can now place words in quotation marks to perform exact-match searches in image text, file names, camera models, or captions.

Stability in Global Oil Prices - Jordan News
Oil prices remained steady on Wednesday as concerns over a potential increase in output by the OPEC+ group were balanced by a decline in Canadian supply due to wildfires, amid ongoing global trade tensions. اضافة اعلان Brent crude futures fell by 18 cents, or about 0.3%, to $65.45 per barrel by 09:05 GMT, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude dropped 19 cents to $63.22 per barrel. Janiv Shah, Vice President of Oil Market Analysis at Rystad Energy, noted that the market decline was driven by the anticipated easing of 411,000 barrels per day in OPEC+ cuts starting in July, despite some relative support from the halt of 344,000 barrels per day in Canadian production due to the wildfires. Both crude benchmarks had climbed about 2% on Tuesday, reaching their highest levels in two weeks, amid concerns about supply disruptions and expectations that Iran would reject a U.S. nuclear deal proposal, potentially delaying the lifting of sanctions on one of the key producers. Amarpreet Singh, an analyst at Barclays Bank, said, 'Geopolitical tensions continue to simmer in the background, pushing underlying risks to the upside, with Russian and Iranian oil exports remaining elevated.' In related news, U.S. President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping are expected to speak this week, just days after Trump accused China of violating agreements to reduce tariffs and trade barriers. Additionally, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) lowered its global growth forecast on Tuesday due to the growing impact of Trump's trade war on the U.S. economy. – Reuters
