Celebrate Pride Month 2025 with these eye-catching nail art ideas
Pride month is a moment, a celebration for the LGBTQIA+ community to come together and proclaim their identities to the world. Held every June, it marks the anniversary of the Stonewall uprising, a pivotal moment in queer history that ignited a global movement for LGBTQIA+ rights. Today, Pride is both an exclaimation and a party—a space for honouring identity, love and unapologetic self-expression. And if there's anything this community has taught us, it's to always embrace our true authentic selves—and your talons are the perfect place to start.
These days nail art has become somewhat of a fashion statement, which also makes the medium a fun, personal place to show your support for the LGBTQIA+ community. From sleek French tips dipped in rainbow hues to flag inspired ombrés, there's a nail art design for every mood and outfit. Want a little drama? Take your neutral manicure up a notch with holographic sparkles and let your nails do all the talking.

Sinner joins France in toasting Roland Garros heroine Boisson
PARIS - Jannik Sinner geared up for his French Open quarter-final on Wednesday by hitting with Lois Boisson and the world number one said he was unsurprised by the wildcard's dream run on home soil this year. Sinner continued his bid for a maiden Roland Garros title with an efficient 6-1 7-5 6-0 win over Kazakh Alexander Bublik shortly after world number 361 Boisson lit up Court Philippe Chatrier by stunning sixth seed Mirra Andreeva 7-6(6) 6-3. The duo began their day by practising under the closed roof of the main showcourt and Sinner was left impressed by Boisson's unusual style for a woman. "The level she produces is amazing," Sinner told reporters. "Very consistent, claycourt style with the forehand and a lot of top-spin. Today it was raining, so I called the desk if there were some free spots, because I don't want to risk to go on court without warming up. So we arrived quite early. "She straightaway said yes and we hit some balls. It was a consistent warmup for a different game style for a woman because the ball is quite high and quite spinny. "Physically she's very strong. She deserves to be in the position where she is right now, and we wish her all the best for the future." Boisson, who knocked out world number three Jessica Pegula in the previous round, has become the toast of an adoring nation and will at least break into the world's top 70 next week. Her success comes a year after she suffered a serious knee injury a week before Roland Garros that denied her a Grand Slam debut. "It's amazing, no? I think that's exactly what France needs, something very new, very special, great mentality. She's someone who is quite calm on the court, at least she seems like it," Sinner said. "She had knee surgery not long ago, so even that, gives her some great confidence hopefully for her future. We actually were in the same centre for a little while back in the day, and we practised sometimes together even there. "I know her. I saw her before the tournament in the gym in Jean Bouin. We talked a little bit about how things are and she was happy. Having a wildcard here, it's a special tournament for her, being French." French fairytale is over but ranking rise has just started, says Bublik
French fairytale is over but ranking rise has just started, says Bublik PARIS - Alexander Bublik's excellent run at the French Open came to an end on Wednesday after his straight sets loss to top seed Jannik Sinner but the Kazakh said his rise back up the rankings had just begun. Bublik, who beat ninth seed Alex De Minaur in the second round and stunned fifth seed Jack Draper in the fourth to reach his first ever Grand Slam quarter-final, did not have a chance against the world number one, who won 6-1 7-5 6-0. For the 27-year-old Bublik, who had risen as high as 17th in the world in June 2024 and was a top-50 player between 2020-2024, this run was exactly the boost he needed. "It's the best clay court season I ever had, and it's a positive impact on my rankings," Bublik told a press conference. He is currently ranked 62nd but will move into 43rd spot next week when the next rankings are released. "I'm back in the top 50, I think where I belong. I do believe that this is just the start to try to climb back, you know, to the top 20." Bublik, known more for his phenomenal touch and trick shots and less for his work ethic compared to other top players, put in the hard yards during the clay court season, playing six events prior to the French Open, and it paid off. He has been candid about the need to balance the grind of tour life with family life and said he will not be setting the bar too high now. "I never had the goals to be a Grand Slam champion. I never had this," Bublik said. "Tennis for me is a journey. Tennis for me is a part of life, an important part of life, but quarter-final here, it's like achievements on the wall. That's another tick in the box. "As long as things are working, and if, for the next 10 years I will be a top-50, 60 player in the world, that's totally fine for me," he said. Deschamps counting on PSG players and backing Dembele for Ballon d'Or
STUTTGART, Germany - Didier Deschamps expects the Paris St Germain players to be ready after their Champions League success when France take on Spain in the Nations League semi-finals, with the manager also backing Ousmane Dembele for the Ballon d'Or. PSG secured their first Champions League trophy with Saturday's 5-0 hammering of Inter Milan, with France's Warren Zaire-Emery, Bradley Barcola, Desire Doue, Lucas Hernandez and Dembele all involved for the winners. Marcus Thuram and Benjamin Pavard also played for the losing side, and there has been little time to recover before Thursday's game in Stuttgart. "They are here, so I am counting on them," Deschamps told reporters. "I found them very happy on Monday evening, of course, with a certain fatigue as well. Then, there were Benjamin and Marcus on the other side. The feelings and emotions were not the same. "Ideally, when there is a peak like that, of course, you always have to come back down, but now, we need to quickly get back up because the match is close." Dembele was named Champions League player of the season, and much of the talk since Saturday's final has been about the Ballon d'Or award, with many seeing the PSG forward as the main rival to Spain and Barcelona's Lamine Yamal. "Of course I am for Ousmane, since he is French and with the season he is celebrating," Deschamps said. "Obviously, this Nations League can bring some elements of response, the Club World Cup too. If I have to choose, I tell you Ous, one hundred percent, of course. "If you ask me about the Spaniards, I don't think they will tell you the same thing. But obviously, Ousmane, with the season he is having, deserves it." While Kylian Mbappe left PSG for Real Madrid at the end of last season without winning the Champions League, and ended this season without a league title in Spain, he was the top scorer in LaLiga and remains an important part of Deschamps' plans. "You know his season as well as I do. He is now in very good shape and with a much better footballing and physical potential," Deschamps said. "Nothing changes, Kylian will have a central position." Germany and Portugal meet in the other semi-final on Wednesday in Munich, and the final on Sunday will also take place at the Allianz Arena, the scene of PSG's Champions League triumph.
