Coleg Glynllifon win North Wales Under-18 Rugby Cup

Glynllifon were crowned North Wales Cup champions after beating Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor 38-7 in the final, while Coleg Menai reached the final of the North Wales Bowl.
Mr Coles, rugby engagement officer, said: "I'm incredibly proud of the performances of the Grŵp Llandrillo Menai teams in the North Wales Cup and Bowl this year.
"A huge amount of work has gone on in the background, and to have Coleg Menai competing in the Bowl final whilst Coleg Glynllifon and Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor went head to head in the Cup final is testament to this.
"The engagement from the players across the Grŵp has been excellent, with some fantastic rugby played throughout the year.
"The programme has added significant benefits both to our learners but also to North Wales U18 rugby as a whole.
"Congratulations to Coleg Glynllifon as deserved winners and U18 North Wales Champions."
The cup final took place in Dolgellau on a sunny day, with Glynllifon starting strongly and building an early lead.
Tries from Bedo Jones, captain Huw Watkins, and Robert Meurig Jones, all converted by Jones, put Glynllifon firmly in control.
Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor responded with a try from Joseph Wall, converted by Euros Williams, captain, but Glynllifon continued to dominate after the break.
Further tries from Elis Anderson and Robat Jones, both converted by Bedo Jones, along with a penalty kick, sealed the 38-7 victory.
Huw Watkins, captain of Glynllifon, said: "It was a brilliant season.
"Everyone was very committed and played with a lot of heart.
"I enjoyed playing with my mates, and winning the North Wales Cup."
Euros Williams, Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor's captain, said: "Overall it was a good season with the college.
"We gave some good performances but struggled to maintain our main and strongest team, but we never let the college down.
"We played with a lot against us in the final with not our strongest team out, but everyone showed heart and courage to finish the game."
Glynllifon's cup win capped a strong year that began with a second-place finish at the inaugural Welsh Agri-Colleges 10s tournament in Aberystwyth.
Their cup campaign saw victories over Ysgol Syr Hugh Owen, Ysgol Brynrefail, and Ysgol Tryfan, earning them a home semi-final.
A walkover in the semi-final, after Ysgol Eirias conceded, sent them into the final, where they secured the title.
Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor also impressed, notching wins over Ysgol Dinas Bran and Ysgol Bro Caereinion before a narrow defeat to Ysgol Godre'r Berwyn.
In the semi-final against the same opponents, a drawn result meant Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor progressed to the final as the away side.

Send your pictures and stories of why you love Newcastle

On Monday, we asked you to tell us why you fell in love with Newcastle and some of your favourite moments supporting have already been getting in touch with your photos and stories and here is just a taste from Bob:"I was living in a small Northumberland village as an 11-year-old in 1955. Newcastle had got to their third FA Cup final in five years, but I hadn't taken much notice of the 1951 and 1952 wins."We had just bought our first television set; a small, 12-inch black-and-white thing, but it was the only one in the village. Come the day, Dad, who was in the village football team, had invited all his mates and anyone else from the village who wanted to come to our house to see the game. The sitting room was laid out full of chairs, in rows, one row behind the other. The room was full, with me on the floor in the front. "The game started and we were 1-0 up after only 45 seconds with a Jackie Milburn header, going on to beat Manchester City 3-1, and I was hooked."I have followed them ever since, through all the years, and to this day I still can't get enough of them: reading about them, watching them, listening to podcasts etc. I've watched the dross, and the best, ie Keegan, Robson and Howe. I felt sometimes as a Newcastle fan over the years I was a glutton for punishment but, once a fan, always a fan!"Join the conversation and send your best photos about why you love first visit to the stadium? Send your pictures and stories of why you love Liverpool

On Monday, we asked you to tell us why you fell in love with Liverpool and some of your favourite moments supporting have already been getting in touch with your photos and stories and here is just a taste from Kingsley:In the sixties my grandad told me that Everton would win the league. I disagreed and said it would be Liverpool. The next year, in the only game available for us to watch on television Liverpool won the FA Cup, followed by another league title. With the advent of the Beatles, Liverpool seemed a magical place, and at the age of 13 I begged my mother to let me go there. She said I could if I find a friend to go with, so I took my imaginary friend and found my way onto The Kop. That is where I have enjoyed so many amazing games since.I should mention especially the 1972-73 season, when I saw all 42 games live, home and away, and got my first passport to see them lift the Uefa Cup in Germany. Send your pictures and stories of why you love United

On Monday, we asked you to tell us why you fell in love with Manchester United and some of your favourite moments supporting have already been getting in touch with your photos and stories and here is just a taste from Steve:"United isn't just a club in my family - it's practically a family member. My grandad started supporting after the Munich Air Disaster in 1958, moved by the courage of a club that had lost so much. Just three months later, a patched-up United team made it all the way to the FA Cup final and that spirit of resilience sealed his loyalty for life."My mum grew up in a City household but jumped ship thanks to Best, Law and Charlton - and casually bumping into Sir Bobby Charlton in Lymm like it was a normal Tuesday."My first game? February 1995, an FA Cup tie against Leeds. I was desperate for a Kanchelskis number 14 shirt, but back then you paid per letter, so I settled for a scarf instead. We won 3-1 but I vividly remember Tony Yeboah scoring their consolation and the Leeds fans chanting his name like he'd just won the cup. I could barely see the pitch but I was hooked."Top memory though? The 1999 Champions League final. I was hosting a German exchange student, Andreas - a diehard Bayern Munich fan. He'd spent the day sightseeing in London and returned at half-time with Bayern 1–0 up and a smug grin plastered across his face. I couldn't cope with the gloating so I stormed off upstairs and listened to the second half on Radio 5 Live, sulking in the dark."With time running out, I decided to go back downstairs - if only to show a bit of grace in defeat. Just as I re-entered the room, Sheringham equalised. A stunned silence. Before we could even breathe, Solskjaer scored the winner. I leapt into the air. Andreas sank into the sofa. My living room exploded."I did visit him in Germany later that year. The welcome? Let's just say it wasn't quite as warm as that May night in England."Join in the conversation and send your best photos about why you love first visit to the stadium? A special kit?
