Sullivan County Dispatcher receives ‘Superstar Award'
Doran, who was previously presented a 'Lifesaving Award' for her actions, used new technology called Rapid Deploy.

'It's really, really a good technology,' Doran said. 'I enjoy using the Rapid Deploy map and then with the technology of video, it does assist us to see what's going on when there's so much other interference at the call.'
Rapid Deploy sent the father a link on his phone that allowed Doran to observe the infant's actions. Doran successfully instructed the father to retrieve a syringe to extract water from the infant's mouth. The infant began breathing, and an EMS crew arrived shortly afterward.
'We started Rapid Deploy with a view to reducing response times to save lives,' Rapid Deploy CEO Steve Raucher said. 'That's the mission of the company. So every bit of technology that we build should shave time off our response and add more information to the first responder and improve their safety too.'

Fire breaks out on roof of Upper East Side building
A three alarm fire sent plumes of black smoke into the sky on the Upper East Side Friday morning. It happened at a 7-story residential building on 95th Street between 2nd and 1st Avenues. The FDNY said they were called to the building just after 10 a.m. for a report of a fire on the roof of the building. More than 100 firefighters and EMS personnel responded to the scene. Fishing vessel capsizes near Yaquina Bay; 3 rescued, 1 missing
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Three people were rescued by the US Coast Guard after a fishing vessel capsized near the Yaquina Bay jetty, the The three who were rescued from the vessel, Das Bug, were 'transferred to EMS,' officials said, while the search for a fourth person is ongoing. Crews battle huge fire in North Las Vegas; 1 person injured
LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A massive fire in North Las Vegas on Tuesday morning raged at a site where apartments are under construction. The black smoke could be seen from around the valley. More than one building was involved in the fire, according to Kathleen Richards, North Las Vegas communications manager. A construction worker was injured in the fire. He was transported to University Medical Center with burn injuries, and a second person is being evaluated at the scene, Richards said. The fire was reported around 7 a.m. at 6500 N. Fifth Street, near Centennial Parkway in what appears to be an apartment complex under construction. Northbound 5th Avenue is currently closed to traffic at Centennial Parkway.
