Fox Nation is teaming up with Professional Bull Riders Camping World Team Series for exclusive rights to PBR Friday Night Live broadcasts.

In the lead up to the live coverage, starting this Friday, Fox Nation will debut Season 2 of the reality series Last Cowboy Standing. Over the span of 10 weekly episodes, the series features a group of amateur bull riders competing for a chance to join a PBR team.
The pact is the first sports rights deal for Fox Nation, which was launched by Fox Corp. in 2018 as a streaming companion to Fox News. While the company does not disclose subscriber numbers for the service, Fox CEO Lachlan Murdoch recently estimated it has surpassed 2 million paying customers, with a programming mix of original series and movies. Fox News talent has by and large not appeared on Fox Nation, which has helped the service carve out its own identity.
The PBR is now part of the Ari Emanuel-run TKO Group Holdings, alongside the UFC and WWE. The bull riding circuit was acquired by Endeavor as Emanuel and his executive team were building it into a diversified conglomerate. Prior to Endeavor being taken private this year by Silver Lake, it sold the PBR and two other assets to TKO for $3.25 billion.

Fox Nation president Lauren Petterson said the outlet 'could not ask for a better partner to kick off our first foray into live sports. PBR is an incredibly unique sport with an unrivaled, passionate fan base, and it's a great addition to the entire Fox Nation viewer experience.'
PBR CEO and Commissioner Sean Gleason said programming like Last Cowboy Standing and Kid Rock's Rock N Rodeo that Fox Nation's 'devoted audience is eager for exciting Western sports content.'
Dade Hayes contributed to this report.

'Giving her every frickin' whistle': What Sophie Cunningham says about WNBA officiating Paige Bueckers

Sophie Cunningham has yet another beef with WNBA officiating in the wake of the Indiana Fever's recent loss to the Dallas Wings. And this one isn't even the same beef Fever coach Stephanie White has from that game. The Fever, who are in the thick of the playoff race, lost 81-80 at home to the struggling Wings. Dallas rookie Paige Bueckers scored 16 points, including 4-of-4 free throws. Three of those free throws came in the game's opening minutes when Cunningham was called for a flagrant foul for stepping into Bueckers' landing area on a 3-point shot. Bueckers made all of the free throws. On her "Show Me Something" podcast, Cunningham expressed frustration with how the game officials treated Bueckers throughout. "I love Paige to death, don't get me wrong," Cunningham said. "I think she's a hell of a player and would love to play with her one day, but those refs were giving her every frickin' whistle last night. Like you literally couldn't touch her. That's just so annoying to me." Cunningham has commented plenty on WNBA officiating, and has paid for it. She said she was fined for a TikTok that referred to "some refs" as "stupid," and she was fined for comments on the officiating from a previous podcast. (This is her third episode.) Cunningham also addressed the Fever's recent blowout loss to the Phoenix Mercury, her previous team. She said she got a warm reception pregame but that turned once game started, with some boos and chippy play. Cunningham criticized DeWanna Bonner on the podcast one week earlier for the way Bonner left the Fever earlier this season. Cunningham led the Fever with 18 points in a 35-point loss, and Bonner led the Mercury with 23 points off the bench. She and Cunningham traded words heading into a late timeout. Cunningham said she was fine with it all. "That's competitive. That's fun," she said. "I guess that gets me riled up." The Fever also lost to the Los Angeles Sparks on their recent Western trip in a game that featured a sex toy being thrown onto the court as part of a reported memecoin marketing prank. In this case, the toy hit Cunningham's foot as she was lined up on the free throw lane. "I felt something hit my foot and I thought someone kicked me. I looked down and it was (a sex toy)) and it scared me, and I jumped up. Everyone was like, 'Why are you freaking out?' My mind just wasn't expecting that," she said. "Who gets hits by a (sex toy)? Me."
