Kai and her wife Dee, 26, were living separately in different homeless shelters at the time.
While many have accused them of getting pregnant to get housing, Kai told Love Don't Judge that wasn't the case.
She said: "I would never promoted it. It was just my situation at the time and I was young.
"I love kids and I just decided to have kids on my own."
Kai revealed that she sought out a sperm donor using Google instead of going to a clinic so it would be free.
She said she had no idea that it would work the first time round.
"I was in shock because I didn't think it would work the first time by inserting a diva cup in me and I would just get pregnant," she explained.
Kai used the diva cup, which is a reusbale type of tampon to hold the semen and inserted it so that the it travelled up to her uterus.
She then gave birth to Kaidee, who is now five, and while she only has one sister living with her, Faith, 3, she has lots more out there.
Kai said she knows of at least 80 - 100 of her siblings (as they used the same sperm donor) but that the number oculd be as high as 200 and calls them Kaidee's 'diblings'.

I lost 'everything' when UC stopped my £4.3k-month payment... now I've been sacked from my new job
When she did give birth to Kaidee, Kai was still in a homeless shelter living apart from Dee.
But they soon got offered an appartment and could live together as a family.
The pair then got married and went on to have their second daughter Faith through the same means.
Looking back, Kai admits her family were not happy she got pregnant so young but that she wouldn't change it for the world.
Now the pair both have secure jobs and homeschool their daughters.
Despite life working out for the better, the pair say they are often trolled online.
Kai said some of the comments include '18-year-old homeless couples shouldn't be having kids,' and 'This should be illegal.'
But she said things have worked out, 'We are now adults that have lived and learned.
"We cannot change the past, but we just have to move on in life."
The clip soon went viral on YouTube with over 13k views and people were quick to share their thoughts.
One person wrote: "Personally, I would never have kids with no money and no shelter. That's selfish towards your kids. That's just my opinion."
Another commented: "Beautiful little girls, and children are always a blessing, but to get pregnant whilst homeless is ridiculous."
"This has to be the most irresponsible thing a person can do," penned a third.
UK Teen Mum Statistics
Teen pregnancies in the UK have been decreasing considerably since 2007...
The under-18 conception rate has decreased considerably since 2007, reports Nuffield Trust.
Between 2007 and 2021, the under-18 conception rate in England and Wales decreased by 68%, from 42 per 1,000 women to 13 per 1,000 women.
This resulted in 13,131 under-18 conceptions in England and Wales in 2021.
Meanwhile a fourth said: "Me personally I find that extremely selfish. Imagine being homeless and having a baby to take care of.. like why would you do that to yourself and your baby??"
"They look like they are good parents regardless of what they decide to do when they are younger they do take good care of them,' claimed a fifth
Someone else added: "Ignorance and selfishness. They're messing those children up with their foolishness. Lazy and using the children as props to play the system. Sick."

Two firefighters dead & three fighting for life after truck skids off road & plunges into ravine while on emergency call

FIRE TRAGEDY Two firefighters dead & three fighting for life after truck skids off road & plunges into ravine while on emergency call Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) TWO firefighters have been killed and three left fighting for life after their truck skidded off the road and plunged into a ravine while on an emergency call in Portugal. The horrific accident happened around 7pm on Sunday in the village of São Francisco de Assis as the crew rushed to tackle a blaze in Quinta do Campo, Fundão. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 1 Two firefighters were killed and three injured in a fire engine crash in Portugal Credit: SIC The fire engine veered off the road and crashed into a ravine, leaving devastation in its wake. One of the injured firefighters had to be airlifted by helicopter to Coimbra, SIC Notícias reports. According to the National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority (ANEPC), 26 operators were mobilized to the accident scene, supported by nine vehicles and an aircraft. Teams from the Covilhã and Fundão Volunteer Firefighters, the National Republican Guard (GNR), and the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM) were also deployed. In a statement, ANEPC paid tribute: "It is never enough to emphasize the commitment, altruism and professionalism with which, every day, thousands of firefighters across the country dedicate themselves, with courage and dedication, to defending the population and the forest against fires." The force offered condolences to the families of the victims and wishing a speedy recovery to the injured. President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa also expressed his sorrow, lamenting "the tragic death" of a firefighter "while serving the community" in the battle against rural fires. The head of state highlighted the sacrifice of firefighters nationwide, noting the crash came after "10 days of uninterrupted donation without limits of time and space" by those on the frontlines. Portugal is battling hundreds of raging wildfires that have swept across the country in recent weeks, part of a wave of deadly blazes scorching southern Europe. Terrifying footage even showed a rare fire tornado erupting in the northern region of Aguiar de Beira, underlining the extreme conditions firefighters are facing. Just weeks ago, a former mayor of Vila Franca do Deão lost his life fighting the flames — bringing the death toll from this year's fires in Portugal to three. More to follow... People are only just realising why Marmite jars have flat sides – and it's leaving them stunned

Scroll down to find out exactly why the design choice was made FLAT FACT People are only just realising why Marmite jars have flat sides – and it's leaving them stunned Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) HAVE you ever looked at a jar of Marmite and wondered why it's got flat sides? Well, the reason for the design choice has now been unveiled - and it's leaving people stunned. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 3 People have been left stunned after discovering the reason that Marmite jars have flat sides Credit: EPA 3 It's apparently to help Marmite lovers get every single drop out of the jar Credit: Alamy 3 Radio 1 DJ Greg James was among those who was entirely unaware of the reasons for the jar design One Marmite fan took to social media site X, formerly Twitter, to share the little known fact, as he wrote: "It took me years to realise that near-empty Marmite jars should be kept on their side so you can get the last of it out more easily. "That's why the jar is flat at the sides!" And the post quickly caught the attention of another Marmite fan - Radio 1 DJ Greg James. Greg shared the original post on his own socials, as he admitted: "Today is the day my life changed forever". Others were equally stunned by the discovery after it was shared on Facebook, with one writing: "My life has been a lie!" "Never knew that," another marvelled. "Awesome idea," a third raved. "Been doing it for years, one last small knife-full usually left," someone else said. Not everyone was convinced by the explanation though, with one insisting that the flat area helps "spread the contact area when shrink wrapped in their bulk packages to reduce possibility of glass breakage". "If the jar didn't have a flat spot, the contact point between the jars would be miniscule and therefore much more prone to stress fracture during transport," they added. How to make Marmite Roast Potatoes "Pretty sure the design is more for bulk packaging than anything else, but I've always used it for the last bit," another wrote. And some people used the post to share their own methods for getting every little bit out of the Marmite jar. "Put the jar in a bowl of warm water for 5 minutes," one wrote. "All the excess round the sides will slide down to the bottom!" "Put warm water in the jar to dissolve all that marmite goodness and add it to gravy or casserole etc," another suggested. "Nah, pop in some hot water & use those last bits as a stock!" a third commented. What foods should you ALWAYS keep in the fridge? THE 'King of Bread' Paul Hollywood has said you should never keep bread in the fridge. But what foods SHOULD you store in there? According to EUFIC, The European Food Information Council, these are some of the main foods you should always ensure are kept in the fridge. Apples Berries Butter Cheese Eggs (boiled or unboiled) Fish (cooked or raw) Fresh herbs Lemons Meat (cooked or raw) Milk Oranges Pickles (if opened) Salad leaves Tomatoes Yoghurts When contacted for confirmation of the design explanation, a Marmite spokesperson told Fabulous Online: "Marmite lovers will go to any length to enjoy every single drop. "And while the jar's flat sides weren't originally designed for this, with the return of Marmite Squeezy it's now easier than ever to spread the love to the very last drop."

Chef shares whether duck fat or beef tallow makes the 'best' roast potatoes

Roast potatoes are a staple in many households so getting them perfect can often be a case of trial and error but one chef has experimented with different types of animal fat to see which gives the best results A chef has revealed which type of animal fat makes the best roast potatoes. Roast potatoes are a staple of the traditional Sunday roast dinner, with countless recipes and techniques suggesting the ideal way to prepare them. ‌ New Zealand chef Andy, who shares his culinary adventures on social media under the name Andy Cooks, recently conducted an experiment to determine which type of fat yields the tastiest roast potatoes in a YouTube video. In the clip, Andy prepares one batch of roast potatoes with duck fat and another with beef tallow. ‌ Beef tallow is a form of rendered beef fat typically produced by melting and purifying the fatty tissue surrounding a cow's organs. Duck fat, derived from ducks, is renowned for its savoury flavour. ‌ In the video, Andy addresses the camera directly and begins: "What's better for roast potatoes, duck fat or beef tallow? Let's find out." He can then be seen preparing both sets of roast potatoes before conducting a taste test. Starting off, Andy said: "We'll start with the duck. It smells like a roast potato," he then takes a bite and continues: "Good crunch, I think they're about as well roasted as you're going to get. "I do feel like some of them are starting to go soft. Good flavour, though." He then tries the potatoes cooked in beef tallow. Andy concludes: "Richer flavour, good crunch. Feels like they're holding the crunch better. "I don't know if there's any science to that or if it's a straight placebo but for me, the tallow wins." ‌ In the comments section, viewers shared their thoughts. One person said: "My wife just got me our first tallow from the markets this past weekend. Can't wait to experiment." Another quipped: "Duck can now breathe in relief." A third said: "Goose fat is the answer." ‌ Someone else asked: "What about lard and clarified butter?" Offering a different perspective, another YouTube user commented: "I tried roasting potatoes in duck fat. I found I actually preferred the flavour of them done in olive oil." Agreeing with this sentiment, another person said: "I'm sure there is a scientifically best roast potato out there, but for me, the magic my dad pulls with parboiling them and heating up a pan of vegetable oil to scorching will always be the winner." ‌ Beef tallow has proved popular in cooking for a long time but it's also been praised on social media for its supposed benefits in skincare - but experts warn against it. It's not actually a new trend, with many skincare enthusiasts trying it out and documenting their experiences more than a decade ago. A recent resurgence of clips and recommendations across multiple social media platforms has sparked a fresh wave of people to try it as an acne and anti-ageing treatment. Lesley Reynolds, skincare expert and co-founder of the Harley Street Skin Clinic, said: "While [beef tallow] does contain moisturising factors, there are actually many downsides to using beef tallow as an everyday skin care product. "Unlike your regular moisturiser, beef tallow is heavy and can block pores by trapping moisture, bacteria and dirt, which can lead to blackheads and sebaceous filaments. "This can be triggered further if you're someone with sensitive skin. The use of beef tallow can cause breakouts and irritation, and this is due to the fact that it's an unrefined animal product. "This means that it hasn't gone through the necessary processes to remove impurities that may damage your skin. Therefore, I do not recommend using this as a means to combat acne."
