Lyra Valkyria managed to secure a close win against Bayley in the recent episode of Monday Night Raw. The match kicked off with Bayley taking the lead. She secured the first pinfall via a schoolboy pin. However, Valkyria soon took control to even the score at 1-1.
The wrestler won the second pinfall via a side press. Both wrestlers landed strikes on each other. Even after the score was even, Bayley managed to strike back.
She kept the pressure intact on Valkyria. However, towards the end, the latter surprised Bayley to secure another pinfall. Valkyria won the third and final fall with a Nightwing. This took the score to 2-1. Valkyria qualified for the Intercontinental championship match at SummerSlam 2025.

Becky Lynch stormed in after Lyra Valkyria's win. The segment teased the upcoming Intercontinental championship match at SummerSlam 2025. With the win on Monday Night Raw, Valkyria gets another chance to secure her title back. She lost it to Lynch during the Money in the Bank match on June 7, 2025. To date, there have been only two Intercontinental champions.
The inaugural champion was Lyra Valkyria.
In the teaser segment, Valkyria was celebrating her win against Bayley. It was this moment when Becky lynch stormed in holding the Intercontinental championship belt. The wrestlers came face-to-face inside the ring. There was no physical brawl. But the wrestlers were challenging each other. While Valkyria seemingly claimed the title to be hers, Lynch was seen inviting her for the match at SummerSlam 2025.
