Natanael Cano Launches Urbano Era With ‘Blancanieves'

The pioneer of corridos tumbados is stepping into a different sonic space on his new album. On Friday, Natanael Cano released his single 'Blancanieves,' which hears him skipping charchetas and guitars for trappy, reggaeton beats. 'And that look tells me everything and that smile steals everything from me/And with the Jordans stepping on the mud, but I swear I'm getting out of the hole,' raps the musician on the chorus. 'And I'll steal that ass, and even if it costs me my life with lead.' More from Rolling Stone Kesha Gears Up for Tits Out Tour With Slayyyter, Rose Gray Collab, 'Attention!' Cardi B Is Feisty and Ready for Summer on 'Outside' Xavi Questions If He's Really the Bad Guy on New Single 'El Malo' The video captures Cano reminiscing about a love story with his real-life girlfriend, with whom he travels the world, lounges on beaches, arrives at lavish homes, and poses for photos aboard a private jet in the video. The lyrics capture Cano singing about his obsession with the woman, and mentioning his affinity for coke and tusi. 'Blancanieves' marks the first release off of Cano's upcoming album Por Qué La Demora, the musician's urbano album, which is expected to drop on July 1. While it's not the first time Cano steps into the urbano space, it does follow a string of corrido tumbado albums and his Ariel Camacho-celebrating album Recordando Ariel Camacho, which he dropped earlier this year. His last full album came in 2023 with Nata Montana, featuring Peso Pluma, Luis R Conriquez, and Junior H. The genre change for Cano comes as Mexican artists have seen themselves targeted by the government for singing narcocorridos. 'With all due respect, we came here to Aguascalientes to sing for you, my friend, and with all due respect to the people who are prohibiting us from singing and showcasing our art, we don't give a damn,' Cano said at a recent show in Aguascalientes. Nickelodeon Cancels "The Tiny Chef Show" and the Internet Is Crying Over the 'Raw' Announcement

On June 24, it was revealed that Nickelodeon canceled stop-motion series The Tiny Chef Show The cancellation announcement took the internet by storm, with tens of thousands of Instagram comments praising the emotional video The series started as a social media sketch but was picked up by Nickelodeon in 2022The Tiny Chef Show's cancellation is breaking the internet's heart. On Tuesday, June 24, The Tiny Chef Show shared the sad announcement across all social media platforms that its two-season run on Nickelodeon was ending. The whimsical stop-motion series is about a felt creature named Tiny Chef who teaches children to cook from his small kitchen. It started as a sketch show on social media and evolved into a two-season Nickelodeon show, which won two Children's and Family Emmy Awards and featured guest stars including Kristen Bell, Tony Hawk and Alan Cumming. In the video, Chef is cleaning around his tree stump home and gets a phone call from Nickelodeon, which has aired the series since 2022. 'You ready to cook up some more episodes? I got a million ideas,' Tiny Chef says excitedly into the phone before gasping. 'Canceled?' he says aghast. 'What do you mean, canceled?' He scrambles to convince the person on the other end, saying, 'I have ideas that will blow your minds!' In a sad tone, he says, 'But we won an Emmy?' before concluding the call. 'I understand. I love you too,' Tiny Chef says. Tiny Chef hangs up the phone and tries to resume dusting a plant. He quickly covers his face with his hands, moves over to sit on the edge of his bed and cries. In the caption, the show's creators asked fans to help with crowdfunding to keep the series going after the 'very unexpected' cancellation. They thanked the network for two 'blamazing' seasons and wrote, 'Chef wouldn't want anyone to blame his friends over there, he's just deeply sad he doesn't get to continue hosting a show he adores.' The announcement blew up, quickly garnering more than 17,000 comments on Instagram. 'The world needs you now more than ever,' one person commented and another wrote, 'This literally just made me cry 😭 keep your head up cheffie!' 'Can we talk about how beautifully raw, honest, and emotional this scene is??? Like I've never seen disappointment encapsulated so perfectly in such a short timeframe,' one person wrote, calling the video 'Oscar worthy.' Other people tagged other TV networks like Food Network, PBS and Disney and asked if they would pick up the series. Read the original article on People

Reneé Rapp Gets That Her Boo Wants to Be ‘Mad,' But Why?

Why you mad? Reneé Rapp's love interest is choosing chaos and anger over cuddles on Rapp's new single 'Mad,' which was released Friday. On the rocky track, Rapp sings to a partner who's clearly pissed, even though they could be doing something way more fun. 'All of the time you wasted being mad/We could've been cute and we could've been stupid,' Rapp sings on the chorus. 'Hey, you/All of the time, you wasted in your head/We could've been having sex.' The song devolves into chaos, and the two have a cold-shoulder fight. Following in the cheeky nature of single 'Leave Me Alone,' she later sings in the chorus: 'God, it's pissing me off/I wanna get mad at you, right back at you but/It's kinda hot.' The singer is set to debut the sexy new single, featured on her album Bite Me, which drops Aug. 1, while performing at the Today Show's Summer Concert Series Friday. The new single comes just a few days after she announced she'll bring her new album to arenas nationwide. Earlier this week, the pop star announced the dates for her fall Bite Me tour, which will see her perform at iconic stages like Madison Square Garden and Kia Forum. Last month, the singer reflected on her mom choosing her perfect popstar name on podcast Good Hang with Amy Poehler. 'My mom chose my first and last name to be—well, okay, arguably chose my first and last name to both have R's,' Rapp told Poehler. 'She was like, 'Alliteration, just in case she wants to be a pop star.' Like before I was born… I'm obsessed with the way she did it. I'm like, 'Thank you, God.''Best of Rolling Stone Sly and the Family Stone: 20 Essential Songs The 50 Greatest Eminem Songs All 274 of Taylor Swift's Songs, Ranked
