Fitzpatrick (No. 14 top 100, No. 2 safety in the state) committed to Georgia. Hall (No. 23, No. 1 athlete) chose to stay in state and commit to play for the Gators.
Fitzpatrick and Hall join a list of five- or four-star players who have committed in the 2026 class, including American Heritage quarterback Dia Bell (No. 2, Texas), IMG offensive tackle Keenyi Pepe (No. 5, USC) and Bolles wide receiver Naeem Burroughs (No. 7, Clemson).
Several of the top players in the state remain uncommitted and are taking official visits this month. That list includes Chaminade-Madonna running back Derrek Cooper (No. 1), Jake Kreul (No. 3) and Miami Northwestern wide receiver Calvin Russell Jr. (No. 4).

Cowboys need to call Micah Parsons's agent, ASAFP
Last night's Hall of Fame game pregame show included an update on the Micah Parsons situation in Dallas. Which required me to actually do some reporting. For a change. Here's what I found out. The Cowboys, who love to negotiate directly with players, believe they had a deal with Parsons. He told them he didn't believe a deal was in place, and that they need to talk to his agent. He told them, we're told, on several occasions to speak to his agent, David Mulugheta. To date (or at least as of Thursday), they had not talked to Mulugheta about Parsons's contract. The NFL Players Association is the exclusive representative of all players. Agents certified by the NFLPA are the exclusive representatives of the players who hire them. Parsons has an agent. The Cowboys should not be negotiating directly with Parsons or any other player who has an agent. Even if the Cowboys were permitted to negotiate directly with players (until the league stops them from doing it, they won't), a handshake deal reached directly with the player isn't worth the paper it's not printed on. And it needs to be quickly printed on paper and signed. From the Collective Bargaining Agreement: 'Any agreement between any player and any Club concerning terms and conditions of employment shall be set forth in writing in a Player Contract as soon as practicable.' So ignore anything the Cowboys have said about the Parsons negotiations. This process can't and won't proceed until the Cowboys call Mulugheta. Are the Cowboys not calling Mulugheta in the hopes that he'll call them first? It's a basic concept of any negotiation. Whoever makes the first move is perceived to have more urgency to do a deal. Through it all, there's no deal. Parsons isn't practicing. And it remains to be seen if/when the Cowboys will pick up the phone and call Parsons's agent. Until that happens, it's impossible to get a deal done.

Kevin Durant names 3 legends joining him on small forward Mount Rushmore
The post Kevin Durant names 3 legends joining him on small forward Mount Rushmore appeared first on ClutchPoints. Ahead of Kevin Durant's first season with the Houston Rockets, he was put on the spot when a reporter asked him to name three legendary players to join him on the Mount Rushmore of all time NBA small forwards. The Rockets, who acquired Durant in a seven-team blockbuster trade, will begin a new era with one of the most talented small forwards in the history of the NBA. However, who would Kevin name as the other three alongside him? Durant didn't waste time thinking of which Hall of Fame small forwards are most-deserving on Mouth Rushmore, per NBA reporter Jamal Christopher. 'LeBron. Kawhi. Larry Bird,' Durant said. While most NBA fans would anticipate hearing Los Angeles Lakers All-Star LeBron James' name mentioned, Los Angeles Clippers' Kawhi Leonard and Boston Celtics' Hall of Fame forward Larry Bird are worthy finishing touches for all-time great small forwards. Ime Udoka on what adding Kevin Durant means for Rockets Ahead of Rockets All-Star Kevin Durant's upcoming season, Rockets head coach Ime Udoka praised Durant's approach as a leader for his new team. Udoka, who coached Kevin as an assistant coach of the Nets, discussed how KD's style will undoubtedly rub off on his new teammates. 'His day-to-day routine is very similar to Fred [Van Vleet] and Dillon [Brooks], and Jeff [Green], and the vets that we brought in,' Udoka said. 'I think he takes us to another level with his work ethic. Seeing him in practice in Brooklyn and for Team USA, he would almost go through practice to get to his routine. And then, you see the work he puts in to maintain the level that he's been at. So, that definitely rubs off on guys. 'Just like all our vets did; come in and impart wisdom, and teach his experience with these guys, and it'll be invaluable for these guys to see and learn from him.' Udoka and Durant can't wait to get get started. 'We're both excited to work together again,' Udoka added. 'Obviously, he was in a tough situation, looking forward to moving on and very happy to do that with us. He shared that excitement and joy to be back with some guys he already knows back in Texas. We all know about what he brings. No secret there. But, yeah, very happy to get going, very excited about our young guys that he's ready to play with.' In a competitive Western Conference, the Rockets are projected to be title contenders next season. New rankings show Red Sox have plenty of prospect ammo for deadline deal
Baseball America's new prospect rankings are out, and even with Roman Anthony and Kristian Campbell graduating, the Red Sox still have six players in the Top 100. That means Craig Breslow has plenty of ammo if he chooses to upgrade the big league roster at Thursday's trade deadline. Though he's been on the big league roster, Marcelo Mayer is still Boston's highest ranked player at No. 11 because he hasn't yet hit 130 at-bats in the majors (127). It'd be a massive surprise if he was dealt this week. Boston's biggest riser within the rankings is left-hander Payton Tolle, who has shot up to No. 49 overall. 'Tolle has shown a significant velocity bump sitting 94-96 mph with the plus fastball shape that got him drafted and massive extension,' Baseball America writes. 'Now in Double-A, Tolle has seemingly gotten better by the start so far this season.' Next is shortstop Franklin Arias at No. 57, who is already in High-A at 19 years old, and then recently selected first-rounder Kyson Witherspoon debuts at No. 66. Left-hander Brandon Clarke follows at No. 81, and Baseball America has been stunned his rise. 'There are very few lefthanders that sit in the upper 90s after being drafted, and even fewer that feature a plus slider,' Baseball America writes. 'The Red Sox fifth-round pick has had more helium than any prospect to start 2025. He's gone from unranked in their Top 30 to a Top 100 prospect in a few months time.' Jhostynxon 'The Password' Garcia rounds out Boston's prospects at No. 95, as the outfielder continues to hit for some average (.291) and power (.524 slugging percentage) in Triple-A Worcester.
