Jailed thug with Satanic 666 tattoo used razor to slice fellow inmate's neck

An inmate who carried out a razor attack on a notorious wife killer has been locked up for 40 months.
Alan Brown - who sports a Satanic 666 tattoo on his neck - was also found to have been drinking all night after brewing up home made hooch behind bars.
The serial thief - dubbed Scotland's 'lowest of the low' after robbing priests, children and war veterans - sneaked up behind John Lizanec and sliced his neck. He was also handed an additional 12-month supervised release period after the court was told that Brown would continue to pose a risk to the public at large.
Perth Sheriff Court was told that Brown targeted Lizanec and used the improvised weapon to cut him before kicking him in the back as he tried to flee. Lizanec was on remand awaiting trial for the brutal murder of his estranged wife Michelle. He was subsequently jailed for life and ordered to spend a minimum of 24 years behind bars.
Brown, 43, also pled guilty to further offences, including a raid on a Perth charity hub and a one-man siege in which he claimed to have electrified his cell. Fiscal depute Emma Farmer told the court Lizanec walked out of his cell in Perth Prison's B-Hall at around 9.30am on 17 September 2021.
He made his way up a stairwell and saw Brown - who was also a remand prisoner at the time - standing at the top.
"They had no cause to speak to each other," she said. "As the complainer went to go back down, he felt a sharp pain to the right side of his head followed by a thud to his back.
"He turned around and observed Mr Brown in possession of a razor. This caused him to run downstairs. Whilst running away, he was kicked in the back by Mr Brown."
Lizanec raised the alarm by shouting"knife" at nearby prison staff.
"Mr Brown was challenged by officers and he provided them with an item which contained a scissors handle with two pieces of metal sticking out."

Brown - who shared his cell with inmate John Ramsay - had made his own hooch and had been up all night drinking. At about 8.30am, guards were carrying out a routine check when they noticed a strong smell of alcohol from Brown's cell.
When an officer entered to break up the party, Brown ran at him with an improvised weapon - a screw mounted to a handle - and shouted: "Get the f*** out of this cell."
Staff retreated but noticed wires coming from underneath the door. Brown told them he had wired the door and said: "I'd move away if I were you." After confirming it was not electrified, seven officers in full protective gear got ready to enter. Brown threw green liquid, believed to be cleaning fluid, at the door to make it slippery.
He was seen holding a blade and heard to say: "If you guys come in here, it's game over." Brown continued: "You're getting done. In fact, he's getting done." He moved towards Mr Ramsay and placed the blade at his throat.
The seven officers burst through the door and disarmed Brown and took him to the ground. Mr Ramsay, who was described as "too scared to move from his bed" avoided injury.

Brown, who has a long record for crimes of dishonesty, was released from prison in March 2024. On the evening of May 27 that year, he raided two neighbouring properties in Perth's St Leonard's Bank. He first went to a building used by charity Subud Britain, and a woman staying in an upstairs room heard doors opening and closing downstairs.
When she went to investigate, she found Brown on the stairwell. "He appeared to be under the influence of something," said Ms Farmer. He mumbled about attending a meeting but left when the woman pointed out broken glass from a smashed window in the hallway.
Brown also went next door to an office used for NHS child and adolescent mental health services. A senior nurse noticed the break-in when she arrived for work the next day. Windows were smashed on the ground floor and a cash box containing £50 was missing, along with £23 in an envelope and a wrapped gift.
In both incidents, Brown was identified by blood spatter he left at the crime scenes. The same evening, he snatched a handbag from a house in Glengarry Road and a picture snapped by a witness was posted on Facebook.
Sheriff William Wood asked Brown: "Maybe you like being in prison?" Brown replied: "Not really, no."

Perthshire businessman fined for damaging badger sett in mum's field with digger
A workman who operated a 20-tonne digger on top of a badger sett has been fined £1,800. Matthew Rogers admitted he was reckless to carry out excavation work near the protected habitat on a field belonging to his mother in rural Perthshire. The 35-year-old business owner appeared at Perth Sheriff Court to plead guilty to interfering with and causing damage to part of the underground network, a breach of the Protection of Badgers Act 1992. The court heard his excavation bucket came within four metres of the sett entrance. Rogers, who runs a sound and lighting company, was reported to police after concerned locals took video recordings of his excavation job, which they described as 'horrendous'. The court heard the work was carried out in April 2022 on open ground between Dull and Camserney. Prosecutor Gerard Drugan said the land was being used for horses. He said a few years earlier, another person had started carrying out earthworks on the field but they stopped when they found the sett. 'In the early part of April, a witness became aware of work at the locus,' said Mr Drugan. 'They saw an excavator and flatbed truck present at the scene.' A week or so later, another witness noticed the work. 'She described the noise as 'horrendous',' said the fiscal depute. 'She goes to investigate and finds Mr Rogers driving the digger. 'She was concerned because the work was close to the badger sett.' Mr Drugan said: 'They exchanged words and Mr Rogers said he was nowhere near the sett, indicating that he was aware of it.' The court heard the witness began to video the work, filming from the perspective of badgers and other animals. When she walked towards the sett, Mr Rogers asked her what she was doing. 'She said she wanted to check the level of noise that the badgers were experiencing from the sett.' Mr Drugan said more noise was heard coming from the field a few days later, on April 29. Both locals went over to take a look. 'When they got to the site, they witnessed damage to the ground immediately above the sett entrance.' It was established the digger had been 'right on top' of the sett, causing damage to the ground. Its excavation bucket had been used to move vegetation near the sett. Mr Drugan said the closest damage was between two and four metres from the entrance. 'The possible disturbance and damage caused would have been deeply unsettling for badgers and could have destroyed the sett.' Solicitor Alan Davie, defending, said towards the end of the Covid lockdown his client's mother asked him to excavate some of the land and make it more suitable for horses and resolve some drainage issues. 'He candidly accepts he knows nothing about badgers' living arrangements. 'He did not know there were badgers on this land.' Rogers was 'clearing up' his work on April 29 and 30 when he caused damage. 'He accepts that he should have taken care and should have educated himself. 'He should not have returned to the work without that knowledge. 'Mr Rogers concedes he was reckless and he apologises.' Mr Davie said: 'This is a mistake he will not make again.' Sheriff Clair McLachlan told Rogers: 'I accept your explanation that you did not set out to cause damage and that this was very much out of character.' She fined him £1,800, reduced from £2,000 for pleading ahead of his trial.

Ms Brown also said Women's Aid had encountered situations where girls "had to check in with their boyfriend as they move around from class to class". They also had to send pictures to show they were "not sitting alongside someone they were not allowed to sit alongside". Ms Brown said girls are now expected to perform acts that are shown on online pornography platforms. She added: "We have seen a huge increase in the use of knives against the throat to make girls submit. "Using knives is almost the new foreplay or the new sex toy." A survey conducted by Angus Women's Aid involving 110 14-17 year olds found 10 per cent of boys admitted physically abusing their partner, 16 per cent said they would hack their social media accounts, and 6 per cent said they would pressurise a partner to send them images or videos. It comes after Scottish Labour's Katy Clark said should be done to teach Scots pupils about the dangers of influencers such as Andrew Tate. She said: "Extremist online misogyny is a growing issue in our schools with teachers having to deal with the impact of influencers who are hero-worshipped by some boys. Tates LAND in US & 'may meet Trump' as 'victims' fear they'll never face justice "We must face the reality of the impact it is having on all pupils and ensure teachers are properly equipped to tackle this." Andrew and brother Tristan were put behind bars in Romania late last year before being released under house arrest. The pair and two associates were held on suspicion of sex trafficking. Romanian authorities said that the pair subjected six alleged victims to "acts of physical violence and mental coercion" as well as 'sexual exploitation'.
