Love Island star's ex speaks out as they're heartbroken she's joined ITV2 show
With Love Island's premiere date just days away, new contestant Sophie Lee's ex boyfriend has admitted to having some hard feelings about her role on the new series. Ouzy See, who appeared on the show in 2023 and had a short-lived romance with Kady McDermott, is said to be devastated by the news that Sophie has signed up for this year's season of the ITV2 dating show.
The 30-year-old footballer is said to have been "blindsided" by her decision, as he believed their story wasn't quite over. A source told The Sun: "Ouzy was really shocked and blindsided to see Sophie had signed up for Love Island. He was gutted because he feels like there is still unfinished business between the two of them.
"While they aren't dating anymore, he thinks she's an amazing girl and they ended on good terms. It's weird for anyone though knowing your ex is about to go on Love Island and could fall for someone else on TV."
The pair had gone public with their romance in 2023, walking the red carpet together at the Beauty Awards, where they spoke positively about their blossoming relationship.
At the time, Ouzy gushed: "It's going really well. She's inspirational. We've been dating for a few months." Sophie added: "He's really kind, that's my favourite thing about him."
Although they have since split up, Ouzy seems to have been caught off guard by Sophie deciding to enter the villa. Ouzy See's representative has been contacted for comment.
Sophie, who is a motivational speaker and influencer from Manchester, is one of several singletons heading to the villa in Mallorca for Love Island's milestone tenth anniversary.
This season kicks off Monday 9 June on ITV2, with Maya Jama returning as a host for the fourth time. Sophie's journey to the villa has been a brave next step for the influencer who has already had to overcome a life-changing ordeal.
At the age of 22, she survived a horrific accident while performing her fire-breathing act in the US. She sustained serious burns to her face and chest after flames were blown back into her face by a venue's air conditioning system, and had to be hospitalised.
Thankfully she came back from the incident stronger than ever, and was able to kickstart a career in modelling, influencing, and motivational speaking. She also works closely with the Katie Piper Foundation, helping others who live with burns and visible scars.
Ahead of entering the villa, Sophie said she is looking for "someone who is fun, spontaneous, who has a lot of jokes and who is attentive. At the moment I'm only finding ones draped in red flags and 'do not cross' signs."
Maya Jama has promised "more drama, more bombshells, more break-ups, more make-ups, and more twists" for season twelve of the reality show, and fans are counting down the days until they get to see the new singles get their flirt on in the Spanish sun.

Olivia Bowen shows off huge baby bump as she prepares to give birth any day now after landing new ITV reality show
OLIVIA Bowen looked sensational as she put her huge baby bump on display in a stunning new shoot. The Love Island star, who is expecting her second child with husband Alex Bowen, is set to welcome her baby girl any day now. 4 4 4 As the family prepare to expand, the happy couple posed for photos alongside their three-year-old son Abel to mark the moment. Olivia, 31, flashed a big smile as she put her stomach on display in a white crop t-shirt and a pair of denim dungarees. Her little boy matched with his mum in dungarees as well, while Alex also kept on theme with a white t-shirt and denim jeans. "Then I had a really nice part, I've only got a month to go. It's just this last bit that's a bit harder again." The media personality also opened up about losing one of her babies at eight weeks. She said: "It was therapy discussing it, some people might say 'how did you speak about it?', but for me I'm a talkative person, I'm an oversharer, it was really like therapy discussing it with people. "The reaction I had was worth it a million times over. "So many woman messaged and said 'I didn't know what that was but I've had it and you make me feel less alone'. Anything that gives you that reaction is so worth it. "I do feel emotional sometimes thinking about it, I think we've compartmentalised it well. We have to because we've got a healthy baby that's nearly here, you try and focus on the positives and not what was going to be or what was. "It's still hard and it still comes up in my head and I still think about having to tell her one day. It's a weird situation but we're very lucky to have a baby that's nearly there." Olivia announced in February that she was having another baby, after finding out she was pregnant last Christmas. Sharing the news on Instagram, she said: "A moment, a love - baby no2 - we're waiting for you." OLIVIA'S HEARTBREAK In March, Olivia opened up to The Sun's Fabulous magazine about finding out she was expecting twins, but then learning she had sadly lost one of the babies at eight weeks. She revealed how she had miscarried after suffering from vanishing twin syndrome. It occurs in the early stages, when one of the babies stops developing and is absorbed by the mother's body, or the surviving twin. Speaking on Loose Women with husband Alex, the pregnant star broke down in tears as the couple discussed the miscarriage with the panel. She said: 'It was such a shock. There were no symptoms to indicate anything was wrong. We went into the scan excited, thinking everything was going perfectly, but it was blindsiding when we learned that one of the babies had gone.' She reflected on the surprising nature of the loss, especially given the absence of any warning signs, and the emotional toll it had taken on her and Alex. Olivia added: 'I was always so positive, and when you try to be 100% positive all the time, when something bad happens, it hits even harder." Despite the pain, Olivia found comfort in knowing that the baby she lost had been reabsorbed into her body by the 14-week mark.

His glamorous girlfriend Alisha Cook reportedly dumped him on his first Ibiza trip, just days before he went viral. The Newcastle lad is now said to be fighting to save his relationship with the model and debt collector from Co Durham. Alisha was allegedly so angry with her boyfriend's antics in Ibiza that she broke up with him before videos of his haircut made him go viral. The couple have reportedly worked things out since, but a friend of Jack's warned he was 'skating on thin ice' over his party lifestyle.
