Airborne SUV lands on pedestrian in wheelchair in North Vancouver parking lot
The incident happened in the parking lot outside the London Drugs at Lonsdale Avenue and 20th Street East.
BC Emergency Health Services said one of the people transported to the hospital was in serious but stable condition.

One witness, a friend of the person in the wheelchair, told Global News that he saw a car in the parking lot suddenly start accelerating before it veered off, went over a pillar and landed on his friend.
'I was scared, because all of a sudden, Maggie started screaming,' James Willett said.
'So I rushed up and I just tried to see what I could do, which I can't help that much, so I got on the phone right away to 911.'

Police are investigating the cause of the collision and say it does not appear to have been caused by a medical emergency.

Manitoba government poll suggests concerns over health care, crime and immigration
An opinion poll done for the Manitoba government suggests concerns about crime and public safety have risen steadily. The Benchmark poll by Leger is commissioned by the province and conducted every few months to gauge public concerns. The latest available survey, done in October and obtained this week under the province's freedom of information law, suggests affordability and health care remain the most popular concerns. Crime was the third-most cited worry, among 69 per cent of respondents. Trump says Epstein ‘stole' Virginia Giuffre from Mar-a-Lago spa
U.S. President Donald Trump suggested on Tuesday that he ended his friendship with disgraced financier and sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein because he poached employees from the president's Mar-a-Lago estate, including Virginia Giuffre — one of Epstein's most high-profile accusers who died by suicide earlier this year. Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One while returning to Washington, D.C., from Scotland on Tuesday that some of the workers taken from him were young women. 'The answer is yes, they were. People that worked in the spa,' he said. Another journalist asked Trump if one of the people he was suggesting Epstein 'stole' from his staff was Giuffre. 'I think she worked at the spa,' Trump replied. 'I think so. I think that was one of the people, yeah. He stole her. And by the way, she had no complaints about us, as you know. None whatsoever.' Last week, a spokesperson for the president, Steven Cheung, said Trump 'kicked him out of his club for being a creep.' Giuffre claimed in a lawsuit that she was poached by Epstein's aide, Ghislaine Maxwell, from the spa at Mar-a-Lago in 2000, at the age of 16. Moreover, the president's latest claims about Epstein bring Giuffre into the picture years before Trump claims to have cut ties with Epstein. In 2002, Trump told New York Magazine that he had 'known Jeff for 15 years,' and that he was a 'terrific guy.' According to the Guardian, Miami Herald investigative reporter Sarah Blaskey noted in her 2020 book about Mar-a-Lago that Epstein stayed on the membership list of the estate until October 2007. He was first arrested more than a year before for soliciting prostitution from a minor.

Pritchard Avenue house fire sends 1 to hospital, Winnipeg firefighters say
One person was taken to hospital after a house fire on Pritchard Avenue Tuesday night, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service says. One firefighter was also injured during the blaze, although not seriously enough to require further treatment.
