Love Island fans brand shock twist a FIX as they tip new bombshell Harrison to choose Toni after surprise link between them was revealed
The Love Island villa is known for its surprise twists and turns, with some stars forced to bid farewell before their suitcase has been unpacked.
And while Tuesday's episode threw a dramatic new curveball in proceedings, some fans were quick to claim it was a 'fix' due to an unlikely detail.
Following a tense recoupling, which saw Toni Laites and Malisha Jordan left waiting at the firepit, it was revealed that both would be going on dates with the new bombshell, footballer Harrison Solomon.
However, only one girl would return to the villa, with Harrison set to choose which girl he wanted to couple up with, while the other would be dumped.
The episode ended with both Toni and Malish enjoying their dates, with Harrison's choice set to be revealed in the upcoming episode.
But many viewers quickly took to X to claim it was clear Harrison would choose Toni, after she revealed she attended university in the same area of Miami where he played professional football.
Posts included: 'I think Malisha is the one going. Unfortunately there was more chemistry between him and Toni;'
'Yh he's definitely picking Toni, they looked like they wanted to eat each other;'
'If Harrison doesn't pick Toni tomorrow the show is acc rigged they're my winners;'
'There was no need for that cliffhanger we know he's choosing Toni;'
'If Harrison doesn't pick Toni after that date this is a fix idc;'
However, some viewers were quick to praise the 'evil,' twist with one even branding it their 'favourite ever.'
Posts on X included: 'Fair f*****g play Love Island, that's a plot twist. But yhh he's choosing Toni;
'Possibly my favourite twist ever; I love this kind of twist and they should do it more often; OH WHAT IS THIS TWIST;'

However, some viewers were quick to praise the 'evil,' twist with one even branding it their 'favourite ever'
'Okay. What a twist!; What kinda twist is this?? How evil;'
'That's such a good twist I can't lie; OMG I have been waiting for this twist for so long.'
Viewers will get to see Harrison's choice in Wednesday's episode.
And the hunk - who lives in Florida - isn't afraid to go after what he wants.
Before heading into the villa, when asked how he feels about splitting up a couple, Harrison brutally replied: 'That's what I have to do. I'm not here to make friends.
'If the girl is for me, I'm going to grab that.
'That's no issue. I'm in there for myself at the end of the day.'
Although he hasn't revealed who he has his eye on, he did make a hint at making a bee-line for Connecticut lass Toni Laites, 24, who is pool cabana server in Las Vegas.
Harrison said: 'I do really like American girls.
'Their personality is slightly different, in general they're more confident and go for what they want.
'But I like a challenge, I like a bit of the chase.'
Love Island continues on Wednesday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.

Bethenny Frankel reveals sentimental reason for Florida move and how her daughter is adjusting to the relocation
She has relocated from the Big Apple to the Sunshine State this past year. Now Bethenny Frankel has shed more light on what prompted her to permanently relocate to Florida. Speaking with Us Weekly on Tuesday, Bethenny described how the prospect of becoming a full-time resident felt 'different in the right way' after she first purchased an apartment in Miami last year. The Real Housewives of New York City alum, 54, told the publication that she ended up staying at her Florida residence more than she expected. For that reason, she said she started seriously contemplating uprooting her and her 15-year-old daughter Bryn's lives in their hometown and moving down south. 'I went to high school in Florida and I've been going there my entire life, even since I was a younger, since I was a baby,' she recalled. She said that when purchasing her Miami property last year, she 'thought I would be there a certain number of days' but ended up being there more often than she expected. Reflecting on what happened before her move, she admitted: 'It started to make me feel like, "Wait, I really feel like I live there," even before this whole decision happened.' She continued, 'So I was already like, "Wait, it feels different to live here than to visit. It feels different in the right way."' The entrepreneur also told the outlet that her teenage daughter Bryn is adjusting well to their move. 'I have a sunshine baby,' she said. 'We are water people.' Bethenny announced back in April that she and her daughter were moving to Florida for 'personal and professional reasons' — sparking fan concern that she was relocating due to politics. Last month, Bethenny opened up about the reason she wanted to move out of New York City and admitted she felt like she was 'drowning' so she ultimately decided to move to Florida with her daughter. That same month, she listed her $8 million mansion in Connecticut for sale. In a TikTok video she posted on in early May, she said that a 'series of events transpired' earlier this year so she decided to sell their home. 'The morning of March 19th, this wasn't even a thought and by that evening, a series of events transpired and we decided it was the best move to move here,' said the star. She explained that she quickly decided to list their home for sale, though she will be keeping her New York City apartment, and set out to buy a house in the Sunshine State. 'Within five weeks, [we] had sold and bought a home in both places. We'll keep this apartment, but I sold my home and bought a house in Florida,' she said. Frankel said living with just her daughter Bryn, whom she shares with ex-husband Jason Hoppy, in an overly spacious house 'was drowning me.' 'It was just the two of us,' she said. 'It was a massive property, and I made the decision to buy that property when I was in a different stage of my life. 'I thought it would be this, like, big family home and that I'd be entertaining there a lot.' She continued: 'The house was drowning me because it had an apple orchard, it was a historical house, it had all this property, and it was beautiful and amazing for a big family with kids and grandparents. 'It just ended up being a place that I spent a lot of time alone [in] because I didn't really know many people in that community. It was lonely.' She said she didn't want to be 'home alone' so she decided to 'simplify' their space. 'My simplification is someone else's complication because I'm still going to be in a beautiful home, but I just took on too much,' she explained. 'And the idea of something was different than the reality of it.' Frankel also added that she originally planned to downsize in four years when her daughter would be heading off to college, but she decided to go ahead with it now because of a 'moment.' 'This situation was drowning me and something else was distracting her and neither of us would say it out loud because this is just what it was,' she said cryptically. 'The moment it became about her, I was able to be honest with myself about how I felt and it freed both of us. I think I'll be lighter and brighter and happier in the coming months.' Frankel added: 'I'm excited for this next chapter.'

Tyler Perry accused of sexual harassment and workplace gender violence
Tyler Perry has been accused of sexual harassment, workplace gender violence and sexual assault in a lawsuit from an actor who said the media mogul used his influence and power to create a 'coercive, sexually exploitative dynamic'. In the suit filed in Los Angeles last week and first reported on Tuesday, Derek Dixon, who worked on Tyler Perry's shows Ruthless and The Oval, said Perry promised career advancement but subjected him to 'escalating sexual harassment, assault and battery'. Dixon alleges he was subjected to harassment and abuse by Perry while he 'held direct control over his employment, compensation, and creative opportunities' and that he faced retaliation when he did not respond favorably to his advances. Perry, the billionaire star of the Madea film series, is one of the most powerful figures in Hollywood with his own massive film and TV studios in Atlanta and a partnership with the Oprah Winfrey Network. Major studios frequently film movies on his lot. He has denied the allegations and his lawyer described it as a 'shakedown'. 'This is an individual who got close to Tyler Perry for what now appears to be nothing more than setting up a scam,' Matthew Boyd, Perry's attorney, said in a statement to media. 'But Tyler will not be shaken down and we are confident these fabricated claims of harassment will fail.' The lawsuit alleges that Perry has 'a troubling pattern of exploiting vulnerable male actors and employees' and that like 'Harvey Weinstein, Bill Cosby, R. Kelly, Sean 'P-Diddy' Combs… Mr. Perry's success has led him to believe that money and influence can get him whatever he wants.' 'Tyler Perry has been using his power and influence to molest, abuse, and sexually assault impressionable and vulnerable employees and actors who look to him for guidance and mentorship,' the lawsuit states. The pair met in 2019 while Dixon, who was working for an events company, was at an opening party for Perry's studio, according to the lawsuit. Perry allegedly 'picked [Dixon] out of a crowd of employees present at the Party, and began asking [Dixon] questions about his employment status, and whether Plaintiff was an actor.' He began texting Dixon, first asking him about his goals and career aspirations, the suit states. He offered Dixon a job on one of his television shows with the promise that 'it was a small role that could get a lot bigger,' according to the lawsuit, 'thereby setting up the first stage in a series of escalating quid pro quo offers' . Shortly after his first acting job, Dixon was invited to Perry's home where they drank and made conversation. Perry urged him not to drive home, according to the suit. 'Dixon agreed and was escorted to a separate guest room, not knowing that this was a ruse to allow Perry to assault Dixon. Dixon was tired and did not have pajamas and so he got into bed only wearing underwear. Before he knew what was happening, Dixon felt someone else slip into bed behind him and start rubbing Dixon's body around his inner thigh in a highly sexual and suggestive manner.' skip past newsletter promotion Sign up to Headlines US Get the most important US headlines and highlights emailed direct to you every morning Privacy Notice: Newsletters may contain info about charities, online ads, and content funded by outside parties. 'On multiple occasions, Mr. Perry sexually assaulted Mr. Dixon, including one instance where he forcibly pulled off Mr. Dixon's clothing, groped his buttocks, and attempted to force himself on Dixon.' The suit includes communications between the two, including flirtatious and sexually suggestive messages from Perry that Dixon appears to attempt to rebuff. Dixon is seeking at least $260m in damages.

Country star makes drastic career move after deadly car crash with pedestrian
The country singer Conner Smith is making a major shakeup with his burgeoning career after he was involved in a deadly crash. The 24-year-old singer–songwriter had been scheduled to headline the Military Appreciation Concert in Akron, Ohio, on Friday, June 20, but he has now dropped out of the event, Kaulig Companies Championship tournament officials told WKYC on Monday. Smith dropped out of the event shortly after police alleged that he struck and killed a 77-year-old woman with his truck while she was in a crosswalk. Smith's representatives haven't yet responded to request for comment. In a statement shared with the tournament, a spokesperson for William Morris Endeavor (WME) wrote: 'As Conner Smith takes time to privately process recent events, he will unfortunately not be performing in Akron on June 20. We appreciate your understanding and continued support during this difficult time.' The Military Appreciation Concert, dubbed A Night in Nashville and to be held at Akron's Firestone Country Club, will now feature the country singer Frankie Ballard as its headline act. Smith has since dropped out of multiple upcoming performances in the wake of the dead crash. He was originally set to follow up his Night in Nashville show with a performance at the Buckeye Country Superfest on June 21, the following day. But the event announced on X on Monday that he would 'unfortunately not be performing this weekend.' Vincent Mason was added as the opening act at Ohio State University's football stadium, which will feature performances later in the evening by Jelly Roll and Kane Brown. Despite the recent cancellations, Smith hasn't completely cleared his schedule. His website's touring listing indicates he still plans to perform two shows in Missouri on July 18 and 19, follow by a run through the Midwest later that month. Smith has multiple solo shows and festivals dates scheduled all across the US from August through late November. According to a statement released June 9 by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, Smith hit and killed a woman identified as Dorothy Dobbins, 77, with his Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck on the evening of June 8. Smith was set to follow up his Night in Nashville show with a performance at the Buckeye Country Superfest on June 21, the following day. But the event announced on X on Monday that he would 'unfortunately not be performing this weekend' Smith — who is signed to a subsidiary of Big Machine Records, Taylor Swift's old label — allegedly hit Dobbins when she was walking in a marked crosswalk. Dobbins was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and died there, according to police, who noted that she lived near the crosswalk where Smith allegedly hit her. In a statement to Smith's attorney, Worrick G. Robinson, said his client was 'involved in a car accident that tragically claimed a life.' 'His heart goes out to Ms. Dobbins' family during this incredibly difficult time. Mr. Smith continues to cooperate fully with the ongoing investigation,' Robinson added. Police alleged that a 'contributing factor' to the incident was Smith 'failing to yield the right of way to the pedestrian.' Authorities also noted that Smith didn't show any signs of impairment, but it's not yet clear if he was tested for drug or alcohol abuse. Police added that no charges have been filed against the singer at this time, but the investigation into the crash is ongoing. A source close to Smith said the crash was an accident, and they claimed he was not under the influence of any substances and wasn't distracted by his phone before the crash. Sources at the scene added that police quickly released the singer as he allegedly didn't show signs of obvious impairment The deadly incident occurred on the final day of CMA Fest 2025 in Nashville's Riverfront Park. Smith had performed at the festival on its Chevy Riverfront stage on Saturday, June 7, the day before the crash. Smith is a recording artist for Big Machine Records' sub-label Valory. He's best known for the viral hit I Hate Alabama, which was released in late 2021 and became a sensation with TikTok users. Buzz from the song led to his record deal, which he inaugurated with his 2022 EP Didn't Go Too Far. His 2023 singles Take It Slow and Creek Will Rise have both been certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), and the latter run also became a top-20 hit on Billboard's US Country Airplay chart.
