Talking about "Unfiltered Naari",
Yash Soni
who essays the role of Chintan said, "Gujarati cinema is going through a really exciting phase right now - we're seeing a wave of fresh storytelling, rooted in our culture but universal in its themes.
Fakt Mahilao Maate was one such film that not only entertained but also sparked conversations around what women go through in everyday life. It was a rare blend of humour, heart, and insight, and the response from the Gujarati audience was overwhelming.
"
"With the movie's Hindi dubbed version, Unfiltered Naari, I truly believe we're giving this story a new life and a much bigger stage. There are so many regional films that deserve to reach beyond language barriers, and this is one such film.
I hope the Hindi-speaking audience connects with it just as deeply - not just because of the story or the message, but because it's a reflection of our shared experiences. It's a film made with sincerity and purpose, and I'm thrilled that more people will now get to be part of this journey," the protagonist added.
Backed by Anand Pandit and Vaishal Shah, "Unfiltered Naari" enjoys a stellar cast with Yash Soni, Amitabh Bachchan, Deeksha Joshi, Tarjanee Bhadla, Bhavini Jani, Kalpana Gagdekar, Chetan Daiya, Vaishakh Rathod, Deep Vaidya, and Om Bhatt in important roles.

To Russia With Love: Indian artists Paint memories of travel and stay in Russia
While Sinha's own works depict the nostalgia of student life abroad, other participants approach Russia differently, sketching their experiences in the cities like Moscow and St Petersburg. 'What we are trying to show is the sheer diversity of associations,' remarks Sinha, who left behind mechanical engineering to devote himself to art. 'For some, it is travel and study. For others, it is literature, films, or even second-hand memories. You don't need to have visited Russia to feel connected.' Over the month, visitors can attend workshops, talks, film screenings, and even Hindi adaptations of Anton Chekhov's short stories and Vasily Shukshin's plays. This edition also introduces a new reciprocal project, 'India, A Russian View', with selected works by Russian masters like Nicholas Roerich and Vasili Vereshagin that interpret India through Russian vision. The opening ceremony will be held on August 20 at 6 pm, with dignitaries from the Russian Embassy and Indian cultural institutions in attendance, alongside a performance by sitar and sarod exponents Lakshay and Aayush Mohan. Amitabh Bachchan Hails S. Jaishankar On KBC 17: 'He Speaks Like An Army Officer'
Amitabh Bachchan praised External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar on the Independence Day special of Kaun Banega Crorepati. On the occasion of Independence Day, Kaun Banega Crorepati offered its audience a powerful gift with a special episode titled Independence Day Maha Utsav. The show brought together three fearless women officers from the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force who had played crucial roles in Operation Sindoor, a mission that dealt a strong response to Pakistan. The patriotic episode wasn't just filled with quiz questions but also with moments of respect, inspiration, and pride. One such moment came when host and megastar Amitabh Bachchan praised India's External Affairs Minister, Dr. S. Jaishankar, drawing parallels between his commanding diplomatic style and that of an Army officer. 'Tough Talk, Like a Soldier" During a round of questions that began directly from the sixth level, the contestants were shown a picture of former External Affairs Ministers Salman Khurshid and the late Sushma Swaraj. They were then asked to identify the next minister in sequence. The officers confidently answered: Dr. S. Jaishankar. Reacting with a smile, Amitabh Bachchan admitted that he often watches Jaishankar's interviews and is deeply impressed by his manner of speaking. 'He speaks so strongly and with such authority that it feels like he could easily be in the Army," Bachchan said. This candid remark instantly became the most talked-about moment of the episode, with viewers applauding the megastar for acknowledging Jaishankar's firm and fearless presence on the global stage. Fans on social media even hailed it as proof of India's diplomatic strength and Jaishankar's growing popularity. Heroes of Operation Sindoor Adding to the patriotic fervour were the three officers who graced the stage: Colonel Sophia Qureshi (Army), known for her exemplary service during United Nations missions. Wing Commander Vyomika Singh (Air Force), celebrated for her daring spirit in the skies. Commander Prerna Devasthali (Navy), who thrives on the challenges of the sea. These officers were instrumental in Operation Sindoor, where they played decisive roles against Pakistan. Their entry was welcomed with a standing ovation from the audience and from Amitabh Bachchan himself, reflecting the immense pride the nation feels for its women warriors. A Patriotic Celebration The special episode was a blend of knowledge, inspiration, and national pride. Along with the quiz, the show featured stories of sacrifice and courage from the three officers, interspersed with patriotic songs and tributes to the tricolour. A visibly moved Amitabh Bachchan remarked, 'It is an honour for me to share this stage with these brave daughters of India on this day." More Than Just Entertainment This Independence Day special of KBC was not only about questions and answers; it was about honouring the spirit of the armed forces and reminding viewers that India's daughters are second to none—whether defending borders, flying in the skies, or navigating the high seas. It was a celebration that blended entertainment with emotion, leaving viewers inspired, proud, and deeply connected to the spirit of the nation.
