Cameron Brink is finally ready to return. The Los Angeles Sparks forward, who was the No. 2 pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, said she plans to play in Tuesday's game against the Las Vegas Aces.
This will be her first game after being away for over a year. Brink had suffered a torn ACL and meniscus in her left knee on June 19, 2024, during a game against the Connecticut Sun.

'It means the world,'
Brink said.
'I'm very excited, very humbled by this experience.'
The injury happened just 15 games into her rookie season, where she showed strong signs of being a top defender. She had averaged 2.3 blocks, 7.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per game in just 22 minutes per game before she got hurt.
Sparks head coach Lynne Roberts told Davis that she just wants Brink to enjoy the moment. 'Just be in the moment,' Roberts said.

Lynne Roberts says Cameron Brink will return stronger after ACL injury
During the 2025 WNBA Draft in April, ESPN's Holly Rowe reported that Brink could be back before the All-Star break, which happened earlier this July. Though that didn't happen, Cameron Brink had already started working on drills earlier in the summer and kept improving.

Roberts believes this long break will make her even better.
'It sucks that you have to go through it,' she said.
'But I think it helps you. I'm really, really proud of her.'

James Cook leaves fans puzzled after skipping Bills practice without injury update

James Cook leaves fans puzzled after skipping Bills practice without injury update (Image Via X) Buffalo Bills running back James Cook was back at the team's training camp at St. John Fisher University in Pittsford, New York, but did not participate in on-field drills. James Cook watched from the sidelines on an exercise bike. When asked by reporters, including ESPN's Alaina Getzenberg, why he didn't practice, James Cook gave a single-word reply multiple times: 'Business.' This marked his first non-participation in a mandatory session since beginning contract talks with the team. James Cook sits out practice as contract deal remains unfinished With coach Sean McDermott absent, running back James Cook, 25, in his fourth NFL season, was not on the injury report for Sunday, August 3. The practice was at St. John Fisher University in Pittsford, New York, and James Cook was there, but did not take part, instead he was on the sideline, riding the exercise bike for most of his time. When questioned post-practice, James Cook repeatedly said 'Business' as the sole reason for not practicing and declined to confirm if he'd return on Monday with the same response. His short reply has now sparked more questions about his contract status, especially since he had been fully participating until this point. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like No annual fees for life UnionBank Credit Card Apply Now Undo His decision to skip drills without any injury report has fans and media guessing what will happen next. He signed a four-year rookie deal worth just shy of $5.83 million that included a $1.42 million signing bonus and $3.1 million guaranteed. Now he is down to the last year of that deal and seeking a new one that accurately reflects his worth as a top running back. Despite his hold‑in tactics, both sides, James Cook's camp and the Buffalo Bills reportedly remain in communication. Buffalo Bills GM Brandon Beane has expressed hope a deal can be reached while acknowledging the challenge of fitting that salary under the team's cap. James Cook finished the 2024 season with over 1,000 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns, leading the league in rushing scores, following his 1,122‑yard season in 2023. His strong back-to-back seasons give him the upper hand in asking for a better deal, and the Buffalo Bills know his performance is key to their offense. IPL vs The Hundred vs PSL: Which league has most last-ball thrillers? Which one produces most boundaries?

Vaibhav Suryavanshi (AP Photo) Cricket's franchise leagues are booming worldwide, with the Indian Premier League ( IPL ) leading the pack in terms of exciting finishes and high-scoring matches. A comparison of various leagues, including The Hundred, Pakistan Super League ( PSL ), and others, reveals interesting patterns in match outcomes and scoring trends across different regions. The IPL stands out as the most thrilling league, with the highest percentage of matches going down to the final ball, as per a BBC analysis in collaboration with CricViz. When looking at games decided in the final over, the IPL tops the chart at 28.9%, followed closely by PSL at 27.5%, and The Hundred at 24.4%. Matches going down to the wire in T20 leagues Rank Franchise % of Last Ball Finishes 1 IPL 13.50% 2 The Hundred 13.40% 3 PSL 11.40% 4 ILT20 11.10% 5 BBL 11.00% 6 CPL 7.80% 7 SA20 7.40% (Source: BBC/CricViz) Scoring patterns vary significantly across regions. Asian leagues, particularly the IPL and PSL, see more boundaries and higher scores. The PSL leads with an average first-innings total of 180 runs, just one run ahead of the IPL's 179. Other leagues typically score between 160-180 runs. The Hundred, while featuring fewer boundaries, offers a unique perspective. Though its average first-innings score is 144, this needs context - teams play 20 fewer balls than in T20 formats. When adjusted to T20 length, The Hundred's average score would be 167, putting it in line with other leagues. Average runs scored in boundaries League Avg. Fours/Game Avg. Sixes/Game IPL 29 15 PSL 30 14 ILT20 25 12 CPL 22 15 SA20 24 12 BBL 24 10 The Hundred 22 11 (Source: BBC/CricViz) Interestingly, matches in England, Australia, and South Africa tend to see fewer boundaries. This suggests a better balance between batting and bowling in these regions, offering a different kind of excitement for cricket fans. The proliferation of leagues includes other notable competitions like Australia's Big Bash, the Caribbean Premier League (CPL), and the UAE's ILT20. Each brings its own flavour to the global cricket landscape, with the ILT20 recording the lowest average first-innings total at 161 runs. Catch Rani Rampal's inspiring story on Game On, Episode 4. Bowled Over by Miya Magic: Mohammed Siraj shines brightest | IND vs ENG 5th Test The final Test at The Oval delivered one of the most thrilling finishes in recent memory. England began the final day needing just 35 runs with four wickets in hand, but India, led by a fiery spell from Mohammed Siraj, clawed back to win by six runs—their narrowest Test victory by runs. That win meant India drew the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2-2 and gave their ICC World Test Championship 2025–27 campaign a solid push. They now sit third on the points table with 28 points and a PCT of 46.67. Poll What did you think of KL Rahul's juggling act on the field?
