Emmerdale characters arrested for ABH in early ITVX release
Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) and Ruby Miligan (Beth Cordingly) have been arrested in Emmerdale.
Last week, Ruby's daughter Steph Miligan (Georgia Jay) reunited with Ross Barton (Michael Parr). It was quite a big deal for her, as she had struggled to trust people ever since she learnt about the real connection between her and Anthony Fox.
Steph asked Ross whether he had been with anyone in the time they weren't a couple. He said no, but that was a lie.
Ross slept with Manpreet shortly after being dumped by Steph. At the time, Manpreet was feeling lonely, and decided to connect with Ross over a game of pool.
Pool quickly turned into a game of tonsil tennis, as we saw Ross leaving Manpreet's not long after. She wondered if they could see each other again, but Ross was pretty dismissive, worried about how it would make Steph feel.
Famous last words.
As Steph was starting to trust Ross again, Ruby and Lewis Barton (Bradley Riches) were digging into Manpreet's love life during an afternoon in the café. She admitted that she had a fling with someone, but obviously didn't know about Ross getting back with Steph.
When Ross walked into the café, Manpreet casually confirmed to Ruby and Lewis that he was the person she slept with. Unfortunately, behind Ross was Steph, who discovered in that moment that her boyfriend had lied to her already.
Devastated, Steph eventually decided to leave the village for a yoga retreat in Rome.
Heartbroken, Ross tried to distract himself by finding another job. He approached Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) at the garage, who quickly told him where to go.
A frustrated Ross attempted to show Cain that he was a capable mechanic but ended up injuring his hand. This was witnessed by Manpreet, who patched Ross up back at her house.
It seemed that sleeping with Manpreet was a far better distraction to Ross than getting more work. After their time together, Ross and Manpreet shared a pretty intense kiss on the doorstep, which was witnessed by Ruby and Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb).
Letting Manpreet know what she really thinks of her was the only thing on Ruby's mind in this evening's episode. She headed to the surgery to try and have a private conversation with her, but ended up exposing details of Manpreet's sex life in front of patients and Claudette (Flo Wilson).
Ruby went up to the depot after, to play boss while Caleb Miligan (William Ash) was away. She was hoping to simply sit and gossip with Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton), but then Manpreet arrived.
The GP wanted to talk to Ruby and refused to budge until their conversation happened. Manpreet then hopped into a truck to show she wasn't going to move until Ruby heard what she had to say.
Manpreet couldn't understand why Ruby was so invested in her sex life, but she remains unaware of the things Ruby has been through with Steph recently.

Steph spent a large portion of her adult life away from Caleb and Ruby and when she returned, it took a long time for her to reconnect with her parents. To Ruby, it felt as though Manpreet was the catalyst for her daughter leaving again. More Trending
But with Manpreet somewhat in the dark, the lack of communication led to the two women fighting in the depot…and outside of it.
The commotion led to the arrival of PC Swirling (Andy Moore). With punches being thrown, Ruby and Manpreet were then arrested.
