Posting on social media, Ellena Hoad, a fitness influencer who is dating Love Island star Kieran Nicholls, showed off her floral mini dress as she got ready for a friend's big day.
As she posed in a hotel room, the content creator said: 'I'm going to a wedding today, so let's get dressed - I've got this dress which I actually rented from HURR, however, I have had the biggest drama with this dress and I just hope it's all worth it.'
As her Love Island boyfriend did up the backless dress, she asked: 'Can you see my pants?' to which he simply confirmed: 'Yeah.'
After admitting that she would have to 'take off' her knickers to avoid them being on show, Ellena then gave her followers a close-up look at the cut-out frock and beamed: 'This is the dress - it's very different to what I would normally wear, but I thought it was cute and very wedding vibes.'
Ellena then exposed the nightmare she had with the designer dress, which is originally from pricey brand Zimmermann, but she rented from HURR - the UK's leading rental and resale fashion marketplace.
She acknowledged that not only did the dress arrive late, but when she opened it, she realised it had been worn and claimed it 'absolutely stunk.'
Despite the mishap, Ellena, who runs her own online coaching service and has built an impressive following, including 403,000 Instagram followers and 52,000 YouTube subscribers, paired the dress with a strappy set of white heels and a small clutch bag.
Ellena, who also has her own recipe app, Ell-Evate, then continued: 'Kieran absolutely hates it, I think it's quite cute, it's quite different. I love the back. I think the back is the moment.'
Ellena's boyfriend Kieran, the reality star who made his bid for romance in the Mallorca villa back in 2018 and then met Ellena just before lockdown in 2020, then rated the dress a 6.5 out of 10.
Not only this, but he also confessed: 'I'm not a big fan of the dress but you look good in it.'
Frankie Bridge slammed by fans again for SHEER wedding guest dress that's 'too much' and will 'upstage the bridge'
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @ellena_fit, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 156,000 views.
It also amassed 1,718 likes and 468 comments, with many fashion enthusiasts left stunned by the short frock.
Not for a wedding. The day should be focused on the bride!!
TikTok user
One person said: 'A solid NO for a wedding.'
Another added: 'The dress is giving "trying to upstage the bride" vibes, "all eyes on me".'
Wedding Guest Outfit Etiquette
If you're struggling to decided on a dress to see you through wedding season, here's a few rules on what not to wear so you don't get in trouble. Folklore says that wearing red at a wedding means you slept with the groom.
Casual attire like jeans and flip flops should always be avoided.
Any colour that could be picked up as white or cream - even if it's not.
Most would agree that your cleavage needs to be covered.
Wearing white is a massive no-no if you're not the bride.
A third commented: 'It's a showstopper for sure, especially at the back. I'd only wear it if you hate the bride and want to steal her thunder.'
Meanwhile, someone else slammed: "Not for a wedding. The day should be focused on the bride!!'
The bride is a close friend and was fully aware of what I was wearing and it was perfectly ok
Ellena Hoad
Not only this, but another chimed in: 'It's extremely inappropriate for the wedding.'
But that wasn't all, as another woman recognised: "That's for a holiday. Not for a wedding at all."
In response to the negative response from trolls, Ellena later wrote back on the 'dress that apparently divided TikTok' and penned: 'I'm glad I've got thick skin because you were all brutal with your comments.
'Also… the bride is a close friend and was fully aware of what I was wearing and it was perfectly ok.'

Eamonn Holmes says 'Ruth does all the hard stuff' as he opens up about shared custody
Eamonn Holmes has shared an update on rescue dog Maggie this week following his split from Ruth Langsford, with whom he had adopted the canine companion over a decade ago Presenter Eamonn Holmes wrote about his ex Ruth Langsford in an update about their rescue dog Maggie this week. He's given an insight into the arrangements between them after having paid tribute to Maggie over the weekend. Eamonn, 65, and Ruth, 65, announced last year that they had decided to separate after 14 years of marriage. The former couple, who also have a son together, were later said to be involved in a custody dispute over canine Maggie, whom they had adopted as a family in 2011. After posting about Maggie yesterday, Eamonn returned to Instagram this afternoon with an update. It included him paying tribute to Ruth, who regularly posts about taking Maggie on walks, and teased over his plans for the future. Eamonn told his followers that Maggie will feature in the Times this week. He wrote: "So much interest and Love for Maggie following yesterday's post to the extent that she is going to star in @thetimes on line from tomorrow and this week's Sunday Times." The former This Morning host, who has experience health issues in recent years, went on to say that his ex does "all the hard stuff" with Maggie. He said: "Ruth does all the hard stuff with her because of my Wheelchair restrictions but working hard to hopefully get better soon and adopt another #Rescue #Dog like we did from @dogstrust all those years ago!" The presenter added: "Maggie changed my life and she was making me very happy in The Sunshine today. In many ways she reminds me of my dearly departed Mum - a really bad knee and hardly any teeth left but not bad for a 17 year old!" Eamonn, who is a patron of rescue group K-9 Angels, concluded: "Please try to Adopt and Not Shop if u can. from organisations like @thek9angels and @dogstrust Enjoy the Sunshine but please be aware of your dog in a car and it's little feet on hot pavements. Bye from Maggie and Me." The journalist, who used Randy Newman's song You've Got A Friend in Me from Toy Story (1995) in the post, had posted about Maggie yesterday. Alongside photos, he said in his previous post: "17 years apart ... and we r both still going - JUST. Maggie and Me #dogstrust #adoptdontshop." Eamonn and Ruth were said to be having "difficult conversations" about where Maggie would live following their separation. There were even previously reports of a custody dispute over the dog between the former couple. It was however suggested in May last year that Maggie was likely to end up primarily with Loose Women panelist Ruth. A source told the Sun at the time that Maggie is "like a daughter" to the exes, who were both said to "dote" on her. The source further told the outlet: "But she's getting on and they know she needs stability. It's a case of who can give her that." They added that the prospect of "giving her up" was "heartbreaking" for GB News presenter Eamonn. They said that Eamonn "adores" her but teased over the canine ending up with his ex. The source said last year: "But if Ruth is able to get out and about and walk her more, then it may well be that she gets Maggie in the split."

Cristiano Ronaldo is officially engaged to Georgina Rodriguez (Image: georginagio/Instagram) Cristiano Ronaldo is sure to have spent a small fortune on his dazzling engagement ring for fiancée Georgina Rodriguez as fans can't believe the size of it. The football icon, 40, finally popped the question after almost a decade and two children later. They have long faced questions as to when they would finally walk down the aisle, with Cristiano now making the all important move. The couple had teased fans with a potential engagement after Georgina, 31, was spotted with a huge diamond on her finger. Neither had officially confirmed or denied if it was an engagement ring, with Cristiano revealed he hadn't asked for her hand in marriage because the timing wasn't 'quite right'. The couple racked up thousands of compliments and congratulations from their fans, while others had plenty to say on the ring. Georgina flashed a massive diamond that took up almost half of her ring finger. It featured one stunning stone that glistened on the white bedsheets while Cristiano place his hand underneath. Talk quickly turned to the price of the stunning jewel as one said: "For how much? That must have cost a backpack." Others were more taken aback by the size of the ring as someone exclaimed: "That rock." Another went further as they added: "A glacier!" Someone else commented: "Incredible, had to be the best in the world." A fifth joked: "Pretty small diamond." While one fan took issue with the practical side of things as they shared: "The ring is too big, it will make you uncomfortable when washing dishes." Another quipped: "Surely that's AI?! Who in their mind wants a boulder on their finger?!" "Surely that's photoshopped. I've no doubt he can afford something that big but WHY?!," wrote someone else. "This isn't coming from a place of jealousy that ring is too much," shared a social media user. Despite the criticism, Georgina seemed thrilled with the ring as she said: "Yes I do. In this and in all my lives." On her Netflix reality show I Am Georgina, she revealed her friends are always asking about wedding plans. She admitted: "They're always joking about the wedding. 'When is the wedding?' Since Jennifer Lopez's song The Ring Or When came out, they started singing it to me. And well, this is not up to me." The couple met at a Gucci store in 2016, with the ex-Manchester United superstar admitting that it was a case of love at first sight. "She's a fantastic person. Yes, it is [true love]. Yes, it was [like magic meeting for the first time]. Gio is part of me. She helps me so much.," he told Piers Morgan in an interview in 2019. "Of course, I'm in love with her. She's the mum of my kids. I'm so passionate for her. She's my friend, we have conversations. I open my heart to her. "She opened her heart to me. [She's the greatest love of my life]... Why not [get married]. Not now! Not in this interview. Why not, one day... We'll one day, for sure. It's my mum's dream." When celebrating Georgina's birthday earlier this year, Cristiano appeared to hint he had taken that next step. He posted on social media: "For the mother, partner, friend, my wife... happy birthday, love. Your light illuminates us and your love infects us." After months of speculation, the official line-up announcements have kicked off, with Gladiators star Harry Aikines-Aryeetey being the first name revealed on Monday morning (Aug 11). Now, The One Show's Alex Scott and Roman Kemp have confirmed the next group of stars set to strut their stuff on the dance floor. First up was Love Island champion Dani Dyer, who confessed it had been "so hard" to keep her participation under wraps. Discussing her family's reaction, including EastEnders icon Danny Dyer, Dani shared: "They're so excited, it's such a fun, magical show and to be asked to do it is such an honour," reports Devon Live. Dani Dyer was the first celebrity announced on The One Show (Image: BBC) The mother-of-three, who recently tied the knot with footballer Jarrod Bowen, admitted she was "worried" about learning the routines and is "petrified" of appearing on live television. Next up, Doctor Who actress Alex Kingston was announced as a contestant, admitting she was "super excited" but now feels "terrified". The Grange Hill star - speaking via a live video link from her holiday in Italy - remembered telling former Strictly finalist Sarah Hadland how "desperate" she was to participate in Strictly, who told her "it changed her life and she would do it again in a heartbeat". Alex Kingston joined The One Show from her holiday in Italy (Image: BBC) Lastly, footballer Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink was confirmed as the third celebrity to join the line-up. The father to four girls revealed that Strictly was a part of his "home life" and he was prepared to "have a go". "I have a little bit of rhythm," he hinted, before joking that he is "competitive" and would need to do his best to avoid receiving "some serious stick at home". Footballer Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has been confirmed as the fourth Strictly star (Image: BBC) "It's totally out of my comfort zone," he confessed. Ahead of the official reveals, the clues of the stars taking part included a "newly wed swapping her first dance to cha-cha-cha," a star who had "travelled through time and space," and a "star player making a striking addiction" to the line-up. They'll be following the likes of Tasha Ghouri, Pete Wicks, Sarah Hadland and JB Gill, who all took part last year, while Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell lifted the glitterball trophy. This comes after Olympian and Gladiators star Harry, also known as Nitro, shared his delight at joining Strictly as he made the announcement while taking part in a CBBC Newsround prank. Gladiators star Harry Aikines-Aryeetey is joining Strictly after taking part in the Christmas special (Image: BBC Studios/Guy Levy) The Team GB sprinter took part in the Christmas special last year and was partnered with Nancy Xu. He said: "After the Christmas Special, it was so nice I just had to do it twice! I'm so excited to be part of the Strictly family this series and I'm ready to give it all I've got. I'll be bringing tons of energy to light up the dance floor. Let's hope I'm as quick picking up the routines as I am on the track." Strictly's return comes after the BBC was caught in scandals in recent years, which led to professional dancers Graziano Di Prima and Giovanni Pernice being axed from the line-up, while celebrity Wynne Evans was dropped from the live tour following "inappropriate" comments which he later apologised for. Alex Scott and Roman Kemp hosted Monday's The One Show (Image: BBC) Judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton du Beke and Shirley Ballas are all set to return for 2025 alongside hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, while the professional dancers have been sharing glimpses at training on social media. Article continues below Amy Dowden will be joining the line-up again, after having to pull out last year due to an injury following her cancer battle, while Gorka Marquez confirmed he will not have a celebrity partner. Two new professional dancers, Alexis Warr and Julian Caillon, are also joining the series, with the BBC yet to announce which celebrities will be partnered with which pros. Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One and iPlayer in September.
