Man Utd transfer target banished to youth team as Ruben Amorim discovers asking price
Manchester United target Randal Kolo Muani has been sent to train with Paris Saint-Germain's youth team as Luis Enrique attempts to offload the player. Kolo Muani, 26, was loaned out to Juventus for the second half of last season, making a good impression by scoring 10 goals in 22 appearances.
The French striker has indicated his desire to join Juve on a permanent basis, although the Italian giants have seen several offers rejected by PSG since the start of the summer transfer window. That could open the door for United, who Mirror Football understands retain an interest amid Ruben Amorim's search for a new striker which has become his pre-season priority.
Kolo Muani was allowed to remain with Juventus for the Club World Cup but has now returned to Paris, where he's been given the cold shoulder. French newspaper Le Parisien report that Enrique has ordered the former Eintracht Frankfurt star to train with PSG's under-21 squad alongside fellow unwanted players Milan Skriniar, Marco Asensio, Carlos Soler, Nordi Mukiele and Renato Sanches.
Having paid Frankfurt £76.4million to sign Kolo Muani two years ago and with a contract until 2028, PSG won't let him go on the cheap. It's explained that the Champions League winners will demand a total fee of £52m while Juventus would prefer another loan deal.
United aren't the only Premier League club interested, too. The report adds that Chelsea, Newcastle and Tottenham all have Kolo Muani on the radar, although none of them have submitted bids.
That's unlike Juve, who want the 26-year-old back. During the Club World Cup, Kolo Muani made it clear that his preference is to stay with the Serie A side, having been quizzed on links with Chelsea.
"I don't know anything about Chelsea," the France international stated. "I'm trying to focus on the Club World Cup, which is a very fast competition.

"Once the tournament is over, we'll see what happens on the market. If it were up to me, I'd stay here: I'm really happy at Juve, I feel great."
United's shortlist also includes Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson, who's fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge following the arrivals of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap for £60m and £30m respectively. Amorim's side were in talks to sign Delap from Ipswich before Chelsea stole a march.

Newcastle United striker and Liverpool transfer target Alexander Isak has rejected a stunning contract offer worth £600,000-a-week. Isak informed Newcastle last week that he wants to explore his options this summer despite having three more years on his current contract. Newcastle spent £63m on the Sweden international in 2022 and have seen Isak develop into one of the best strikers in the world. Liverpool have expressed interest in signing Isak since he revealed he was open to a summer move but Newcastle still want well over £100m for the striker. Arne Slot sanctioned Liverpool's £69m move for Eintracht Frankfurt forward Hugo Ekitike earlier this month but the Premier League champions are also interested in bringing Isak to Anfield. Isak has also attracted interest from the Saudi Pro League, with Al Hilal offering the forward a contract worth a stunning £32m-a-year tax-free with lucrative bonuses on top. As well as pocking £600,000-a-week over three years, Isak has been promised a further £3.6m for winning the Saudi Pro League and £1.75m for finishing as the division's top scorer, according to The Sun. Al Hilal finished second in the Saudi Pro League last season and recently poached Simone Inzaghi from Champions League finalists Inter Milan. Despite the incredible sums on offer, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano says Isak has rejected the approach from Al Hilal and informed the club he intends to remain in Europe. Liverpool will not come close to matching Al Hilal's contract proposal but can offer Isak the chance to win major trophies under Arne Slot. As well as signing Ekitike, Liverpool have bolstered Slot's Premier League champions with the signings of Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez. Newcastle boss Eddie Howe addressed the speculation over Isak's future ahead of the club's pre-season friendly against Arsenal on Sunday. 'He is now in Newcastle getting his injury assessed. Hopefully he will be back soon and playing in the black and white shirt, that's what we want to see,' Howe said. 'Of course there are things going on behind the scenes. Conversations that happen between Alex and ourselves and Alex and the club will stay private. 'He is very popular in the dressing room and would love him to continue his journey at Newcastle. There are no contract talks taking place, that will be for a later date, potentially. 'I certainly hope he stays. It's football, who knows what the future will bring.' Speaking after the game, which Arsenal won 3-2, Howe said there was 'no chance' that Isak would join the pre-season tour for Newcastle's final two games in southeast Asia. Ex-Liverpool striker Stan Collymore has predicted Isak will end up at Anfield and believes the club have been pursuing him behind the scenes for 12 months. 'I can only see Alexander Isak joining Liverpool if he does leave Newcastle, which is now expected,' he wrote in his column for CaughtOffside. 'I think this has been something that's been ongoing probably for 12 months or more. I think the expectation from Newcastle was that it was going to be next season that other clubs were going to bid. Arsenal and Manchester United have previously been linked with Isak but the Gunners have just spent £64m to sign Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting. Isak would likely have major reservations about joining a United team who finished 15th in the Premier League last season. Ian Wright names 'major favourite' for 2027 Women's World Cup after England win
Ian Wright picked out the USA as the biggest threat to England's hopes of winning the next World Cup after the Lionesses successfully defended their European Championship crown on Sunday evening. Sarina Wiegman's side were once again forced to come from behind after Mariona Caldentey broke the deadlock for Spain, the world champions, in the 25th minute of Sunday's nerve-shredding final in Basel. Just as they had done against Sweden and Italy previously, the Lionesses dug deep and found an equaliser, with Alessia Russo heading home Chloe Kelly's pinpoint cross to make it all square just before the hour-mark. The two teams could not be separated after extra-time and it was England who eventually prevailed after another dramatic shootout, with the contest ending 3-1 in favour of the holders. The Lionesses' latest triumph represents the first time in history that an English team have won a major tournament on foreign soil, three years on from the side's famous victory over Germany at Wembley. 'No, I can't believe it!' an emotional Wiegman told BBC Sport in the immediate aftermath of England's victory. 'We said we can win by any means and that's what we have shown again today. I am so proud of the team and the staff. It is incredible.' Asked if she was shocked to win the trophy for a second time on the trot, Wiegman replied: 'Yes, yes. 'I just can't believe it. I have a medal around my neck and we have a trophy. 'It has been the most chaotic tournament on the pitch – all the challenges we had on the pitch against our opponent. 'From the first game it was your first game and becoming European Champions is incredible. Football is chaos.' USA head coach Emma Hayes, who was on punditry duty for ITV, said she had greatly enjoyed watching England up close across the tournament and how they were being managed by Wiegman. And while the ex-Chelsea boss admitted she was looking forward to the 2027 World Cup, she was keen to stress that the USA's qualification was not a foregone conclusion. 'I'm an international manager and I get the opportunity to learn from two of the best teams in the world, not just in terms of how they play but also how they're being managed in all the things that come with tournament football,' Hayes said. 'I was English for 120 minutes, but these two to the right of me [Wright and Karen Carney] have abandoned me now that we're talking about 2027. 'Listen, I cannot wait for it but as we know, we have to qualify for these tournaments and the USA haven't qualified yet.' In response, legendary ex-England and Arsenal striker Wright insisted Hayes' USA side were the overwhelming favourites to lift the trophy in two years' time. 'They're the favourites, they're the ones to beat. They're so good, they're so good!' Wright said. 'If we get anywhere near them I'd be really happy because they're the ones, they're major favourites.' Despite their painful defeat, Wright is confident Spain will bounce back and be a 'problem' for opposition teams in 2027. 'You can't ignore France either, they seem to be really close,' Wright added. 'I don't know what's missing from them, but there's something missing from them. 'Spain as well, if you look from the forwards point of view, if they can get that centre-forward, because that's what they were missing today. 'If they can get that centre-forward to finish it off then Spain will be a problem. 'They need to do that in the next two years, they need to find that. It might be enough time, it might not. But if they do find that forward then Spain will be a problem.' Former England winger Karen Carney, meanwhile, feels Italy could be a dark horse for the World Cup after their 'exceptional' run to the semi-finals in Switzerland this summer. 'They're just developing, probably, a little too soon for them for this tournament. 'Every time there's a European Championship, there's a beacon and everyone is investing and getting better and stronger and every tournament we say that it's the most competitive. That's the levels.
