A stable and kennel area have fallen into disrepair with a report stating the brick structures are in immediate need of repair. Plans submitted to Stirling Council reveal Murray wants permission to repair the buildings and replace windows and doors. He wants to use them to provide additional storage space for the five-star hotel and its wider estate. A planning statement from his architect said: "The stable and the kennels are two smaller out buildings on the east side of the square, tucked behind the store. "They are brick buildings with profiled sheet roofing over timber trusses. "Following the structural report these buildings were deemed in need of immediate repair and maintenance. "The application seeks permission for roof repairs and maintenance, new replacement windows and doors and other spot repairs as required, per the engineers recommendations to ensure buildings are weather-tight to avoid further deterioration. "The roof is to be inspected and repaired, and fully clad with like-for-like agricultural profiled sheet roof material. "The two buildings will be used as additional storage for the hotel and wider estate." Carlos Alcaraz makes it through to Wimbledon second week then throws down huge challenge to Sir Andy Murray A report concluded the stables should be 'locked up and fenced off to prevent injury' and required a new roof. The kennel building was said to be in a 'satisfactory condition' for its age but repairs should be made to make it water-tight. The report also stated that if there was no opportunity to reuse the buildings then they should both be demolished. Murray also wants retrospective permission for two timber window frames installed on a cottage in the hotel grounds during renovation works. The cottage houses management and admin staff for the hotel and Murray also wants to replace a wooden door. A planning statement said: "This application seeks retrospective permission for the installation of two sets of timber windows to the north east facade of Cottage 5. 4 Andy Murray in action during his tennis days Credit: Getty "The application also proposes the reintroduction of two sets of double stable doors, replacing the doors that were removed. "These doors will feature a bi-fold mechanism, allowing them to be functional, and open fully, thereby introducing more natural light into the interior office spaces." Murray bought the venue near his hometown for almost £2m in 2013 and has set about transforming it into a luxury venue. Last year he was given the green light to create a new restaurant at the hotel. Stirling Council will issue a decision on the latest plans in due course. Keep up to date with ALL the latest news and transfers at the Scottish Sun football page
