4-Star USC Commit Lands on Prestigious List
The USC Trojans have a star-studded 2026 class. Featuring one four-star who landed on a prestigious list Monday.
Class of '26 verbal commit Trent Mosley is now the nation's No. 10 overall wide receiver, per 247Sports rankings. He's also one of three California prospects who cracked the top 10.

Mosley joins future Ohio State teammates Kayden Dixon-Wyatt and Chris Henry Jr. on 247's list. Both WRs also play in the renown Trinity League against Mosley's Rancho Santa Margarita Catholic High. Dixon-Wyatt and Henry Jr. line up for national powerhouse Mater Dei High in Santa Ana.

But Mosley adds to the growing optimism for this current recruiting cycle. He reeled in 17 total offers before ultimately deciding on the Trojans. He's even drawn comparisons to current USC star Makai Lemon by Greg Biggins of 247Sports.
"Natural football player, probably more skilled than freaky athletic but very talented," Biggins wrote first in his prospect evaluation.

Mosley comes with deep athletic bloodlines too. Mother Cindy played soccer for Notre Dame. Father is a past Fighting Irish football player from the early 1990s. He's got older brother Emmett playing CFB right now -- transferring from Stanford to Texas during the offseason.
"May not be a flat out burner, more quick than fast but runs really well after the catch and clocked a 21.04 MPH on the Catapult GPS during a game against Las Vegas (Nev.) Liberty," Biggins added.
The national recruiting analyst added how Mosley is a "polished route runner" who "catches everything."
Mosley is hitting up the USC campus soon. He's scheduled to visit head coach Lincoln Riley and company on June 6.

USC baseball ace Caden Aoki granted extra year of eligibility, enters transfer portal On Monday, USC baseball's season came to an end in the NCAA Tournament. After making their first postseason appearance in 10 years, the Trojans fell to Oregon State in the final of the Corvallis Regional. On Wednesday, the Trojans got more tough news when it was reported that their top pitcher, Caden Aoki, will be entering the transfer portal. Aoki was a senior this past season, but was granted an additional season of eligibility by the NCAA. However, it now appears as though he will spend that season elsewhere. After spending his freshman year at Notre Dame in 2022, Aoki transferred to USC prior to the 2023 season. He emerged as the Trojans' top starting pitcher over the better part of the past three seasons. In 2025, he went 6-4 with a 3.99 ERA. However, it was the NCAA Tournament where Aoki forever etched himself into Trojans lore. In USC's tournament opener against TCU, Aoki allowed just one run over eight innings, throwing 114 pitches. For his performance, he was named to the all-Corvallis Regional team. While the Trojans were likely expecting to lose Aoki anyway, seeing him hit the transfer portal would be a tough loss. Given that USC lacked pitching depth behind Aoki in 2025, it will be critical that head coach Andy Stankiewicz address the position this offseason.

NFL 'tush push' ruling draws USC reaction Recently, the NFL made headlines surrounding a vote on the legal status of one of its more popular and controversial plays. Known as the "tush push," the play essentially consists of offensive linemen getting behind the ball carrier—typically the quarterback—and pushing him forward past the line to gain. The play has been popularized by the Philadelphia Eagles in recent seasons. However, as USC fans know, its history goes back nearly two decades to October 15, 2005. That evening, USC running back Reggie Bush pushed quarterback Matt Leinart into the end zone to take down archrival Notre Dame. In late May, the NFL held a vote regarding the legalization status of the play, which has come under much scrutiny in recent seasons. After being put to vote, it was determined that the play will still be legal moving forward. Following the news, Leinart took to social media to share his thoughts on the matter. "Yo @ReggieBush we trendsetters," Leinart wrote. "The BUSH PUSH lives on!" This fall will mark 20 years since the original Bush Push took place on that fateful evening in South Bend, Indiana. Nebraska legend Aaron Taylor named to the Nebraska Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2025 An all-time great Nebraska football player has been named to the Nebraska Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2025. Aaron Taylor played for the Cornhuskers from 1993 to 97. Taylor holds the distinction of being the only football player in Nebraska history to earn All-America honors at two positions (left guard, center). He was a two-time first-team All-American and a three-time national champion. Taylor's No. 67 jersey was retired in 1998, and he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2018. Joining Taylor in the 2025 class are Kevin Davis (men's gymnastics, 1985-88); Diandra Hyman (bowling, 1999-2002); Lisa Reitsma (volleyball, 1994-97); and Stephanie Thater (volleyball, 1989-92). Nebraska athletic director Troy Dannen had high praise for the five new Hall of Famers. 'We talk regularly in Husker Athletics about setting a standard by which everyone else will aspire to achieve. These Hall of Famers did that and more, and now inspire our current student-athletes to achieve greatness.
