WARWICK FARM INSIDE MAIL
REGULATED AFFAIR (6) went back to last from the outside gate before coming wide from the 700m and closing strongly to finishing a nose second to Farnicle on debut on the Kensington. Can settle closer from the inside gate. EQUERRY (4) is a debutant by Snitzel. Closed well for second to Rainbow Glow in his Apr 24 Randwick trial. FERNWEH (5) is a first starter by Turn Me Loose. Pushed up after a slow start to share lead and beat Rosa Incanta in his Apr 17 Warwick Farm trial.
BET: REGULATED AFFAIR to win.
AGARWOOD (1) is a first starter by Wootton Bassett and a half-sister to recent stakes winner, Lilac. Jumped to the front and raced away to score by nearly eight lengths ion her Apr 24 Randwick trial. LIPSTICK (5) was third to stablemate Tempted on debut in December. Returned with a second Impact Zone on a heavy track at Newcastle. SYLPH (13) raced keenly back in the field before making ground out wide when fourth on debut at Hawkesbury on Apr 9 behind Grand Eagle who has won at Randwick since.
BET: AGARWOOD to win.
FRANKLY SUBLIME (5) is a daughter of Snitzel and stakes-winning mare Frankely Awesome. Well backed on debut but raced greenly in the straight when a head second to Roman Forum at Gosford. WALK THE PIER (4) was a neck second to Correon on debut at Kembla when seven to Tomba at the same track last December. Returns as a gelding and has trialled nicely with two close seconds at Randwick. WINNER OF KOWLOON (8) will take improvement from her debit third behind Silver Wedding over 1100m here on Apr 21.
BET: FRANKELY SUBLIME to win.
STRUCK GOLD (5) improved off his first-up sixth when a length fourth to Tuned at Warwick Farm. Loves sting out of the track and should get an ideal run from the pole. NEGOTIATIONS (2) kicked off last preparation with a head second to Tanglewood over 1000m on the Kensington. Won his previous two first-up runs on soft ground over 1100m and 1000m. EXTRAVAGANT LAD (3) drop sin grade from his seventh to Miss Icelandic at Randwick. Nice win in the Cup Day Sprint at Orange first-up.
BET: STRUCK GOLD to win.
SIGIRIYA ROCK (7) was fifth to Evoporate in the Group 3 Carbine Club over 1600m at Randwick second-up then became unbalanced near the 150m when bumped in the Group 3 Packer Plate over 2000m. Drops in grade and back to 1600m. SEAFALL (5) has been unplaced in three first-up runs but battled away for fourth to Our Empress Zoe at Canterbury. Is a second-up winner and has won two from three on the soft. CORMAC T (3) resumed with a nice third behind Our Empress Zoe when resuming. Drawn out but won't be far away again.

DAME COMMANDER (9) did a nice job in her first campaign with a maiden win second-up over 1600m before a sixth in the Callander-Presnell and a third in the Spring Stakes at Newcastle. Will be improved by her first-up sixth to Lilac in the Group 3 James Carr. VILLASAURUS (5) raced wide without cover when a length third in the SDRA Qualifier at Wagga on Mar 1. Bounced back with a good win at Albury. MISTERKIPCHOGE (7) ran on well for fourth to Enter The Dragon at Hawkesbury first-up. Settled closer when second to Collect Your Cash on the Kensington last start.
BET: DAME COMMANDER to win.
PINK SHALALA (10) placed in five of his first six starts before breaking through with a tough win from Up To Mischief at Canterbury on Feb 21. Resumes here and can go on with it. SECURE (11) returned from a spell with a smart win by over two lengths from Donwon at Canterbury on Apr 21. Looks the hardest to beat. KYEEMA (13) raced well in Australia two years ago with placings in a couple of Midways before going to Hong Kong but he didn't fire there. Has been good in his two recent trials including a win in his Apr 24 Wyong heat.
BET: PINK SHALALA to win.
HELLBENT ON YOU (4) resumed with a narrow but handy win from Formal at Hawkesbury before a long head third to Seascape on the Kensington and a nose second to Candlewick over 1200m here. Will run a big race again. JUST FEELIN' LUCKY (5) kicked off this campaign with a handy win at Newcastle from a wide gate. Drawn to get a nice run. MISS KIM KAR (6) ended last preparation with a hat-trick. Resumed with a strong closing third to Candlewick.

All eyes are on Central Coast here; the $1.4 million Inglis Australian Easter Yearling by Wootton Bassett out of Sunlight. Turned in two beautiful trials ahead of this much anticipated debut. Cosmonaut has race experience. Expecting him to be strong late here. Bet: Cabriole  to win, Cosmonaut  to place, exacta 2 to beat 3. RACE 2 British Gem can be forgiven for her underwhelming debut at Newcastle on May 3 given it was a heavy (10) track. Has only seen heavy ground in all of her trials and the one race start so suspecting that she will appreciate it a bit firmer. The Pearls has 'Oaks/Cups type' in her blood – literally – as a member of a prized family that boasts The Phantom, The Phantom Chance, The Twinkle, The Dimple and so many more. Be strong late here. Bet: British Gem each-way, quinella. Lady Boss has three wins and five placings from 12 starts. She has mixed and matched it with better horses than these. One start for one easy win here. Blue Willow is the fifth foal of Anamato which makes this filly a half-sister to Anamoe. This will be Anamoe's jockey James McDonald's first ride on Blue Willow in what is her city debut. All three runs were at Newcastle, each one better than the last. Bet: Lady Boss to win, exacta 2 to beat 10. RACE 4 Gatchan is a Norm Gardner-trained mare whose fourth dam is Who Can Say; the mother of Bounding Away. Gatchan has a get back, run on pattern which hasn't always helped and granted, is least presumably effective at Canterbury but she passed a lot of horses here the other day. Gatchan gets almost 10kg off Monarch's Brae but this Chris Waller and James McDonald topweight is working his way to a peak. He's a Canterbury horse having won four from nine here. Bet: Gatchan each-way, quinella 1,8. Gatekeeper is another James McDonald ride. He's one for one on Gatekeeper which was set aside after an impressive win here on debut in mid-January. He's a gelding but still can marvel at his pedigree being by Justify out of Nakeeta Jane. Trialled well, nice horse. Dashing Eagle descendant Hippolyte Rock was ridden by Tommy Berry when he won at Newcastle in March and he's there again today which is a positive lead. Bet: Gatekeeper to win, box First 4: Nos, 2,5,6,9,11. Apex has raced seven times for two wins, three seconds and a third. That third was behind Caulfield Guineas winner Private Life on debut. The Hawkes Racing gelding has finished runner-up in all three visits to Canterbury, two were at this same trip. Metaphorically has been gelded since he last appeared. Lightly raced, has deep form and the trials are excellent. Wave Breaker 's best would be good enough to win. Bet: Apex to win, Daily Double 1st Leg 3, 2nd Leg 2. Flying Destiny has five wins and 10 placings (seven of them seconds) from 21 career starts. On top of that, the Darby Racing galloper has raced at Canterbury three times for two wins and a second. He's always been a good fresh horse and the trials are suggestive of a bold return (as usual). Expecting a much better run, a more typical run in fact, from World Alliance. That was a very wet track there first-up for him at home. Won a trial since. Pink Shalala boasts the 1980 Golden Slipper winner, Dark Eclipse, as her sixth dam. Her numbers are impressive; nine runs, one win, four second and two thirds. Her record at this track and trip is three starts for a win and two seconds. Granted, it is not all lollipops and roses; she has been a bit costly at times for punters but barrier 4, James McDonald, third-up – really, she has to step up this time. Bonus Tempus could run well here at big odds as he is prone to do on occasions. Bet: Punk Shalala to win (best bet). â– â– â– â– â– BEST BET Both runs, either side of the spell, have had merit. Hasn't done much wrong and was good first-up here too. VALUE Dundeel three-year-old that seems eager to get a mile. Does now.

She was only beaten 3.5 lengths in that event and should have derived benefit from the experience. 2. Swexan is a stablemate of Shuttering that is on debut here. He has had two trials to be fitted for this and bears close watching. 7. Sapphire Rose debuts here. She won a trial in November and has since had another two trials leading into this and has been placed in each. She's drawn well and looks primed to run well. 1. Golden Straand is a Snitzel colt on debut that has had three recent trials and finished second in the latest two. He looks set to run well. How to play it: Shuttering EACH WAY. Race 2 10. Rainbow Goddess had good form at the end of her last preparation being placed in three of four before the break. She had two trials and ran well in both before resuming with a second at Hawkesbury. She will be better for that run and has the advantage of gate one here. 1. Inncourt is an import having his first Australian start. He is a recent trial winner that is set to run well fresh. 3. Prince Harrison won a Warwick Farm trial before resuming with a midfield Kembla Grange effort and he can show up in this. 9. Oakfield Zena was placed two starts ago and can lift on a last start failure. How to play it: Rainbow Goddess WIN. Race 3 1. Harlex resumed from a spell with a dominant Newcastle victory then stepped up in grade and ran well when fourth at Scone during the carnival there. He's drawn to get the run of the race here and can bounce back. 2. Pratt was first-up when scoring easily at Newcastle last time out and bears close watching again. 4. Explosive Torpido has performed well in both runs back from a spell and is one of the chances again, while 5. Estephania failed to beat a runner home when resuming but strips fitter for this. How to play it: Harlex WIN. Race 4 4. Diamond Show settled back in the field but once finding clear running in the straight hit the line well to score a strong win at Hawkesbury when last produced and she can go on with the job. 5. Twilight Elegance resumed with a Kembla Grange win and is worth including among the chances. 3. Iceman hit the line well late for a last start third and only needs to repeat that effort. 6.
