Bo Nix or Jayden Daniels: Which rookie quarterback is more impressive?
Sports Seriously's Mackenzie Salmon asks Tyler Dragon about the rookie quarterbacks that are heading into Wildcard Weekend.

The Eagles are entering the NFC championship game with a starting quarterback that's less-than 100% healthy. Who will they turn to if he goes down?
Starter Jalen Hurts was banged up while taking a sack during the Eagles' divisional round win against the Rams last weekend. While he was taken to the ground, his left knee buckled awkwardly underneath the rest of his body weight.
Hurts played out the remainder of that game, and he's in line to start again in the NFC title game. He told reporters earlier this week that he'll be wearing a knee brace on Sunday against the Commanders.
Should Hurts aggravate his knee injury, the Eagles have two more quarterback options on their depth chart to turn to.
Who is the Eagles backup quarterback?
Kenny Pickett, a first-round pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2022, is Hurts' backup. Pickett started one game (Week 17 vs. Dallas) and entered in relief of an injured Hurts in Week 16 vs. the Commanders.
Eagles QB depth chart
Philadelphia has three quarterbacks on their roster entering Sunday's NFC championship game against the Commanders. Here's how it looks:
Pickett entered the league as the Steelers' first-round pick in 2022. After Pittsburgh signed veteran quarterback Russell Wilson in the offseason, it traded Pickett and a 2024 fourth-round pick to the Eagles in exchange for a 2024 third-rounder and two 2025 seventh-round picks.
McKee was the Eagles' sixth-round pick in the 2023 NFL draft. He made his first appearance in an NFL game in Week 17 this year after Pickett re-aggravated a rib injury. McKee's first career start came one week later in Week 18 against the Giants, and he picked up his first career win in the matchup.
Kenny Pickett stats
Pickett has had to fill in for Hurts in a couple of games during the regular season while the starter was dealing with a concussion. He appeared in five games in 2024, with the bulk of action coming in Weeks 16 and 17.
Here are Pickett's stats from those five regular season appearances:

2025 NFC No. 1 Seed Odds: Can Lions Repeat As Conference's Top Team?
National Football League 2025 NFC No. 1 Seed Odds: Can Lions Repeat As Conference's Top Team? Published Aug. 11, 2025 1:04 p.m. ET share facebook x reddit link Last season, the Detroit Lions were the No. 1 seed in the NFC for the first time since … ever. Yes, since 1975 (the beginning of the modern era), Detroit had never entered the playoffs as the top seed in the conference. It ended up losing in the divisional round. Will the Lions repeat, despite losing their star offensive coordinator? Or will it be the defending Super Bowl champion Eagles? Or, will another team swoop in? Check out the odds at DraftKings Sportsbook as of Aug. 11. NFC No. 1 seed Eagles: +350 (bet $10 to win $45 total) 49ers: +600 (bet $10 to win $70 total) Lions: +700 (bet $10 to win $80 total) Commanders: +800 (bet $10 to win $90 total) Buccaneers: +800 (bet $10 to win $90 total) Packers: +900 (bet $10 to win $100 total) Rams: +950 (bet $10 to win $105 total) Vikings: +1000 (bet $10 to win $110 total) Cardinals: +2000 (bet $10 to win $210 total) Bears: +2200 (bet $10 to win $230 total) Cowboys: +2500 (bet $10 to win $260 total) Seahawks: +2500 (bet $10 to win $260 total) Falcons: +2500 (bet $10 to win $260 total) Panthers: +7000 (bet $10 to win $710 total) Giants: +14000 (bet $10 to win $1,410 total) Saints: +20000 (bet $10 to win $2,010 total) It took a whopping 15 wins to top the NFC last season, which the Lions pulled off via an 11-game win streak from Week 3 to Week 14. Philadelphia and Minnesota finished right behind them at 14-3, followed by Washington at 12-5 and Green Bay at 11-6. However, the playoffs were not kind to the NFC North. The Lions lost to the Commanders at home in the divisional round, while the Vikings lost on the road to Tampa Bay in the wild-card round. The NFC East had the opposite result, as the Commanders and Eagles faced off in the conference title game, with Philly earning a win and a berth in the Super Bowl. We know what happens from there. Matt Hasselbeck on Caleb Williams' struggles, Lions, Parsons negotiations Entering the NFC playoffs as the No. 1 seed has produced some good-but-not-great results in recent years. The top seed in the NFC has made it to the Super Bowl 13 times in the last 25 years, but has only won it three times. The 49ers or Eagles have been the NFC No. 1 seed in four of the last eight years, and they each made the Super Bowl those seasons. Philly won both times and S.F. lost both times. Green Bay was the top seed in 2020 and 2021, but failed to make the Super Bowl in both seasons, losing in the NFC title game and the NFC divisional round, respectively. The Cowboys last finished as the No. 1 seed in 2016, but lost in the divisional round. Want great stories delivered right to your inbox? New jaw-dropping angle of TreVeyon Henderson's 100-yard touchdown run
New England Patriots rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson made his mark early in Friday's preseason win over the Washington Commanders. He took the opening kickoff and returned it 100 yards for a touchdown. Now, we are seeing a new jaw-dropping angle of the return. Henderson had a solid game overall against the Commanders. He had one carry for 18 yards, as well as three catches for 12 yards to go along with the touchdown. The kickoff return immediately electrified the stadium and gave Patriots fans a preview of his breakaway speed and ability to make things happen with the ball in his hands. Henderson is a game-changer in a Patriots offense that had limited playmakers last season. If Friday's debut was a hint of things to come, we could be witnessing an entirely different offense in 2025. The Patriots look like they are finally headed in the right direction. How will Landon Dickerson injury impact the Eagles?
Yahoo Sports' Jason Fitz and Caroline Fenton discuss the latest injury to the Eagles offensive lineman and how it could affect the defending Super Bowl champions. View more Video Transcript Yesterday, Sunday, at Philadelphia Eagles practice, their left guard, Landon Dickerson was carted off the field. He was initially helped off the field and then carted inside after what was reported to be a right leg injury. Now, the latest on that, Adam Schefter did report early this morning that he will undergo an MRI on his right knee later today. So hopefully we'll get some updates on that as soon as possible. And if those updates come out while we're on air, we will update you as soon as possible, of course. But look, Landon Dickerson was a key cog in what has been the best offensive line in the National Football League over the last few years, if not one of the best offensive lines in the National Football League. And if he's out, now, we don't know if he will miss time. Maybe it was a stinger, maybe it was something that he'll just miss a couple of days or a couple of weeks and he'll be ready for week one. But if Landon Dickerson is out for a considerable amount of time, what does that do for a team that relies heavily. On being one of the best offensive lines in the league that relies heavily on running the football. I mean, Saquon Barkley was the difference in this team missing out on a Super Bowl, losing in the Super Bowl, and eventually winning a Super Bowl. That offensive line is pivotal in Saquon Barkley's success, especially for an offensive line that already lost its right guard, Mackay Beck in this past offseason to free agency. Of course, they still have Jordan Mailata, they still have Lane Johnson, their bookend tackles, who are also pivotal parts of that offensive line. But let's look at the offensive line as one unit. It is not five individual parts. So if Landon Dickerson does miss a considerable amount of time, then what will this, you know, the Super Bowl offensive line that had both of those guards, what will it look like without both of those guards? How will this run game adjust? How will this affect Jalen Hurts in the pocket? All kind of up in the air. We'll learn more later today when those MRI results come back, but scary scene, Fitzy, for Landon Dickerson to practice on Sunday. Close
