2026 Missouri linebacker schedules official visit with Michigan State
A top priority on Michigan State's defensive recruiting board is a linebacker from St. Louis, Missouri, Mason Marden. The Spartans extended an offer to the linebacker prospect a couple of months ago, and have now scheduled an official visit with the prospect.
Michigan State will be hosting Marden on an official visit starting on May 30. The recruitment, led by defensive coordinator Joe Rossi, will be highly contested. The 6-foot-3, 220 pound linebacker has over a dozen offers at the power conference level. Along with MSU, he has official visits scheduled with Kansas and Wisconsin.
Marden plays his high school football at Ladue Horton Watkins and is currently ranked as a 3-star prospect according to 247Sports.

Texas A&M women's team closes track season strong with podium finish at NCAA Outdoors
Texas A&M women's team closes track season strong with podium finish at NCAA Outdoors The Texas A&M women's track and field team has consistently ranked in the top five all season long and, among elite programs, finished third at the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Championships. Overtaking the Georgia Bulldogs, who ran away with the point total, was always going to be a tall order, especially with the next closest team trailing by 26 points. That left a fierce battle for second place, where the USC Trojans edged out the Aggies, 47 to 43, thanks to standout individual performances and a season-best showing in the 4x100m relay. Junior triple jumper Winny Bii became the Aggies' lone NCAA Champion of the day. Her opening jump of 13.96m (45-9.75) held up throughout the competition, earning Texas A&M its first-ever NCAA title in the women's triple jump. Debora Cherono, Jasmine Montgomery, Jaiya Covington, and Sofia Yakushina all scored key points, helping solidify the team's top-five finish. Texas A&M also notched two top-four relay results, second in the 4x100m (42.89) and fourth in the 4x400m (3:27.11), both marking season-best times. While the ultimate goal remains a national title, finishing third in the season was a strong and promising result. Landon Duckworth pays surprise visit to Auburn, sets commitment timeline
Landon Duckworth pays surprise visit to Auburn, sets commitment timeline Duckworth visited Auburn over the weekend to develop relationships with coaches and players. Auburn football received surprising, yet wonderful news last week when Landon Duckworth shared that his focus will be on two schools, Auburn and South Carolina, from now on. Following his announcement, he paid a visit to Auburn over the weekend to spend time with coaches and players. Duckworth, a four-star quarterback from Jackson High School in Jackson, Alabama, told Cole Pinkston of Auburn Live that he wanted to visit Auburn for the weekend after cancelling visits to Florida State and Ole Miss to spend time with coaches and continue developing relationships. 'Oh yeah, it was important most definitely,' Duckworth said of spending time with Auburn's coaches. 'It was a free weekend, and I haven't really been up here a lot since the new coaches have been here. I thought I needed to come back and see the coaching staff and get a better relationship with them.' The only area of concern with Auburn's interest in Duckworth is the signing of Deuce Knight, who just signed with Auburn as a member of the 2025 recruiting class. Duckworth says that Knight's signing will not play a factor in his decision, citing that there will be quarterback competition no matter where he signs. Instead, he is focusing on building a relationship with Knight, who he has encountered several times. 'I knew him while he was in high school and we've talked over Instagram. We trained at Quarterback Country a few times. Now he's here so we've gotten even closer," Duckworth said of Knight. "He hits me up and we hang out every time I come here.' Now that Duckworth is down to two schools, when will he decide on a winner? Duckworth says that he does not have a cemented date, but his commitment could come in July. Duckworth is the No. 3 player from Alabama for the 2026 recruiting cycle, and the No. 6 quarterback of the class according to 247Sports rankings. If Auburn can land Duckworth, it will do wonders for its 2026 class that has slipped in the rankings recently, and will build momentum toward winning the state of Alabama again. Auburn has one top-10 Alabama commitment at this point of the cycle, and a potential commitment from Duckworth could bring a spark. Suns grab Florida basketball star Walter Clayton Jr. in latest CBS Sports mock draft
Suns grab Florida basketball star Walter Clayton Jr. in latest CBS Sports mock draft Former Florida basketball guard Walter Clayton Jr. is projected to be drafted by the Phoenix Suns with the 29th overall pick in CBS Sports' latest NBA mock draft. Clayton is coming off one of the most decorated seasons in program history. The 6-foot-2-inch guard set a single-season school record with 713 points, captured Final Four Most Outstanding Player honors and shot 38.6% from three-point range while leading Florida to a national championship. CBS Sports' Gary Parrish praised Clayton's "unique shot-making profile," noting that the former Iona transfer averaged 22.3 points and hit 43.5 percent from beyond the arc over six NCAA Tournament games. Phoenix could view Clayton as a potential instant-offense option off the bench, thanks to his deep range and proven clutch gene. His winning polished game and winning pedigree also make him an attractive selection during the late first-round window. Here is everything Parrish said about Clayton and why he thinks the Suns will draft him in the 2025 NBA draft. What CBS Sports said about Clayton "Clayton was the star of Florida's national title run while averaging 22.3 points on 43.5% shooting from beyond the arc in those six NCAA Tournament games. There are concerns about his decision-making and approach to defense, but the Most Outstanding Player of the 2025 Final Four is such a skilled and unique shotmaker that he's worthy of a serious look this deep in the first round by a Phoenix franchise that probably needs to hit the reset button."
