Lord Huron Announce New Album The Cosmic Selector Vol. 1, Share 'Looking Back': Stream
Lord Huron have announced their new album, The Cosmic Selector Vol. 1, out July 18th via Mercury Records. In anticipation, they've shared new song 'Looking Back,' which is the record's opening track. Listen to the track below.
The Cosmic Selector Vol. 1 includes the previously released singles 'Nothing I Need' and 'Who Laughs Last,' the latter of which features vocals from actress Kristen Stewart. The album also features a collaboration with Kazu Makino of Blonde Redhead, titled 'Fire Eternal.'

In a press release, frontman Ben Schneider revealed the album's title originated from a hypothetical inquiry: 'What if you could choose your fate like choosing a song on a jukebox? What if your finger slipped and you got the B-side instead? What if you misunderstood the meaning of the dang song to begin with?'
Speaking about 'Looking Back,' Schneider described the song as another existential thought of holding onto the past. 'The weight of your past can distort your present and future, the way massive celestial objects warp the fabric of the universe,' he said. 'This song wonders if it's possible to let go, or if looking back is a fundamental law of existence.'
Lord Huron are set to head out on tour later this month through the beginning of November. Schneider and co. will play concerts across North America, Europe, and the UK, including major shows in London, New York, Paris, Nashville, and their native Los Angeles (get tickets here). Openers will include Waxahatchee, Feist, Molly Lewis, Indigo De Souza, and more.
Lord Huron's last album, Long Lost, was released in 2021 via Republic. Schneider also scored and soundtracked the 2023 film The Starling Girl.

‘Who is this?' Serena Williams just broke Instagram with this skinny selfie
Serena Williams can't win. Scratch that. The tennis icon can win — on the court, snagging 23 Grand Slam titles throughout her incredible career. But on the Internet? Forget about it. Last week, Williams astonished her Instagram followers with a slimmed down appearance, posing in front of a mirror in a black slinky long skirt and crop top. The 43-year-old mom of two has been documenting her weight loss journey a while, working on shedding the pounds. Last summer, the Palm Beach Gardens resident hilariously launched a personal challenge to get back into a Valentino denim skirt she acquired in her pre-pregnancy days. The champ reportedly went from 188 down to 154 pounds by the end of 2024 through a combination of diet (a nutritionist helped) and exercise (something Williams knows well). The California native also revealed she used Lingo, a continuous glucose monitor that tracks blood sugar levels in real time. But in this latest post, it looks as if that cute designer skirt would fall right off of her. Keyboard busybodies, naturally, expressed their unsolicited opinions in the comments section. Some fans were supportive and complimentary telling her she looked amazing. Yet others were concerned by the sudden, dramatic changeup and wondered if she was possibly ill. 'No joking. Is Serena OK? This has been a shocking weight loss. I certainly DON'T want anything to be wrong with her!!!' Some social media users assumed the athlete was on a GLP-1 weight loss drug, like so many other (non-diabetic) Hollywood folks these days. 'Just when you thought the legend was the bad arse who embraced her strength and curves, we now get an Ozempic version of her. Now she looks like everyone else.' A handful didn't even recognize the sports star; e.g., 'Who is this woman?' Buried in the comments were at least a few who didn't attempt to play judge and jury: 'People been on Serena about her body her whole life. Let her live.' But it seems that Williams is fine and focused on wellness so that she can be around to watch her daughters grow up. 'We're all thinking about longevity and everything that we can have at our fingertips, but longevity is something that we have to work at,' she told USA Today late last year. 'And so for me, I'm in that journey in my life where I want to work at that, and I want to create the best scenario I can for that.'

UFC 319 bonuses: Back-to-back spinning elbows take home $50,000 in Chicago
The UFC handed out four bonuses after Saturday's card in the 'Windy City,' and all four went to fighters on the main card. After UFC 319, four fighters picked up an extra $50,000 for their performances at United Center in Chicago. Check out the winners below. Performance of the Night: Tim Elliott Fighting for the first time in 20 months, Tim Elliott (21-14-1 MMA, 10-11 UFC) looked like someone ready to make some moves at flyweight with a second-round submission of former Rizin champion Kai Asakura (21-6 MMA, 0-2 UFC) to open up the main card. Elliott caught Asakura with a brilliant guillotine choke for his second straight submission win. Performance of the Night: Carlos Prates In a rarity, Carlos Prates (22-7 MMA, 5-1 UFC) found out while he was in the cage still after his first-round knockout of Geoff Neal (16-7 MMA, 8-5 UFC) that he was getting a bonus. He used his microphone time to tout his birthday (Sunday) and his dramatic spinning elbow knockout with one second left in the opening round – and Dana White obliged with the bonus before even seeing the rest of the card. What's crazy is, Prates' spinning back elbow KO was great – but not even the best one of the night. Performance of the Night: Lerone Murphy Lerone Murphy (17-0-1 MMA, 9-0-1 UFC) was a betting underdog against former Bellator standout Aaron Pico (13-5 MMA, 0-1 UFC), who was making his UFC debut. But Murphy left no doubt when he drilled Pico with a spinning back elbow that had him out on the canvas for a scary long time. Performance of the Night: Khamzat Chimaev In one of the most dominant title fight performances in UFC history, Khamzat Chimaev (15-0 MMA, 9-0 UFC) easily took the middleweight belt from Dricus Du Plessis (23-3 MMA, 9-1 UFC) with a 50-44 sweep of the scorecards.
