Reserved auto services begin at city airport with new rules
Patna: Reserved autorickshaw services officially began operating from Patna's Jayprakash Narayan International Airport on Friday. The pick-up and drop-off facilities are now available at the airport's multi-parking area. Until now, autorickshaws were not permitted to enter the airport premises. Under the new arrangement, drivers may enter through the old gate, drop off passengers at the designated multi-parking zone and exit through the same gate. Stricter regulations lead to drop in derivatives participation: NSE chief
Ahmedabad: With stricter regulations in place, there has been a significant drop in participation in the derivatives segment, said Ashish Chauhan, MD & CEO of the National Stock Exchange (NSE), on Friday. Chauhan was in the city to launch a book based on his life. He also participated in a discussion on Indian financial markets with international tax expert Mukesh Patel. Speaking to the media, Chauhan said, "SEBI increased lot sizes and margin requirements for trading in derivatives to ensure that small investors do not lose money. In June last year, around 55 lakh investors traded in derivatives at least once. That number has now come down to about 30 lakh." He also stated that NSE International Exchange at GIFT City has signed an agreement with the Cyprus Stock Exchange for dual listing and joint product development.

On the day of her 67th birthday, Murmu on Friday opened the Rashtrapati Tapovan and Rashtrapati Niketan for the public. Presidents who once walked these paths are remembered through guided tours that invite visitors to trace the footsteps of visionaries whose decisions shaped the nation, Gupta said. The corridors now feature a curated display of archival photographs from the Presidential archives, offering glimpses into key moments of India's journey and the evolving role of the Presidency. These evocative images turn the heritage walk into a meaningful encounter with India's constitutional legacy, she said. The interiors of the Presidential rooms have been enriched with the artistic heritage of Uttarakhand, featuring Pahari miniatures, Aipan designs, and a variety of local crafts that reflect the region's rich cultural traditions, Gupta said. Adjacent to Niketan lies Tapovan, a serene forest zone developed in collaboration with the Uttarakhand forest department. "Biodiversity conservation is central to the experience. Spanning 132 acres, Rashtrapati Udyan is a visionary model of sustainable public space, net-zero park. The park aims to serve not only as a green lung for Dehradun but also as a national symbol of environmental responsibility," Gupta said. Across all three zones, biodiversity revival and protection form the backbone of the estate's mission. "Native trees have been replanted in previously degraded areas, grasslands left untouched to encourage pollinators, and wetlands restored to support amphibians, birds, and aquatic life," she explained.
