Cutting-edge light show honours war heroes in city

Bhopal: Sudarshan Chakra Corps at Dronachal Military Station launched an elaborate light and sound show, showcasing the cultural heritage of Bhopal and the indomitable spirit of war heroes of the Indian Army.
The light and sound show at Yodha Sthal offers the audience a stirring experience, combining cutting-edge technologies, immersive storytelling by 'Shakti Dhara', and mesmerising aesthetics.
The show is curated with a fusion of multimedia elements, including 3D projection videos, thematic lights and laser effects, pyrotechnics, smoke, soundscapes, and much more. The 25-minute show, conceptualised by Sudarshan Chakra Corps, was dedicated to the citizens and children of Bhopal by the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, on April 25, 2025.
The light and sound show opened to the public from June 1 onwards, every Saturday and Sunday from 7:15 to 8 pm at nominal rates. Special screenings are also organised on national holidays. The show has seen an overwhelming response with appreciation from the locals and full houses at all the shows, the army stated on Saturday.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Zeenat posted a picture of herself seated aboard the flight, describing her feelings as 'overwhelming' in the wake of the national tragedy. 'Boarded an Air India flight this morning and found myself absolutely overwhelmed with emotion as I buckled my seat. May our collective grief offer some solace to those who lost their loved ones,' she wrote. The crash has triggered a wave of condolences from across the country, with Bollywood icons joining the nation in mourning. In a personal blog post, Amitabh Bachchan wrote, 'Most pained and filled with immense remorse on the Air India crash... May grief transform into solidarity in honouring lost lives... and for the healing of all.' Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan also expressed their sorrow through social media, offering prayers and support for the affected families. Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the crash site in Ahmedabad on Friday, calling the scene 'saddening' and commending the tireless work of emergency teams. 'Visited the crash site in Ahmedabad today. The scene of devastation is saddening,' he wrote on X. The flight carried 169 Indian nationals, 53 British, seven Portuguese, and one Canadian passenger. Authorities confirmed that only one individual, Vishwashkumar Ramesh, a British citizen of Indian descent, survived the crash. He is currently undergoing treatment for his injuries. Airline officials identified the pilots as Captain Sumeet Sabharwal, a senior trainer with over 8,000 flying hours, and First Officer Clive Kundar. The aircraft had issued a Mayday call before losing contact with air traffic control. In the aftermath, Air India's parent company, Tata Group, has pledged Rs 1 crore in compensation to the families of the deceased. (ANI)

She shared an emotional note on social media, expressing her 'overwhelmed' feelings while boarding the flight and grief for the families who are mourning the unfortunate loss of their loved ones. Taking to her Instagram handle on Monday, Zeenat shared a picture of herself in an Air India flight that she boarded that morning. Along with the photo, she wrote in the note, 'Boarded an Air India flight this morning and found myself absolutely overwhelmed with emotion as I buckled my seat. Till now, there has only been one reported survivor of the tragic crash – Vishwash Kumar Ramesh. Meanwhile, on the professional front, Zeenat Aman was last featured in the Netflix show The Royals. She will next be seen in Faraz Arif Ansari's film Bun Tikki. The movie also stars Abhay Deol and Shabana Azmi in lead roles, marking the debut of Manish Malhotra's production banner. The release date of the film has not been announced yet.
