Mahavatar Narsimha Unshaken By War 2 Craze, Collects Rs 215 Crore In 26 Days
Ashwin Kumar's epic drama, Mahavatar Narsimha, is doing extremely well at the box office. Despite competition from films such as Saiyaara, Son of Sardaar 2, Dhadak 2 and War 2, the film has enjoyed significant domestic box office success since its debut. It also performed well on its 4th Tuesday since release, confirming its place as an audience favourite. The overall earnings of Mahavatar Narsimha is around Rs 215 crore on its 26th day.
As per Sacnilk, the Hindi version of Mahavatar Narsimha minted Rs 2.19 crore net on the fourth Tuesday at the box office. The total collection for the Hindi version stands at Rs 163.49 Crore. On Monday, the film earned Rs 1.75 crore for its Hindi version. The animated film was released in both 2D and 3D forms, despite poor buzz and fierce competition. However, it stunned everyone with its amazing box office collection, which was fuelled solely by positive word of mouth. Following a great debut, Mahavatar Narsimha established a solid dominance of animated films in India.
What To Expect From Mahavatar Narsimha Franchise?
Mahavatar Narsimha is the first installment in an ambitious animation franchise centred on Lord Vishnu's ten incarnations. The series is set to be issued throughout the next decade under titles such as Mahavatar Parshuram (2027), Mahavatar Raghunandan (2029), Mahavatar Dhawkadhesh (2031), Mahavatar Gokulananda (2033) and Mahavatar Kalki (2035 and 2037). According to reports, Mahavatar Narsimha has become India's first animated film to gross more than Rs 100 crore. The film broke previous records, surpassing global hits such as Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, The Incredibles and Kung Fu Panda in the Indian market to become the highest-grossing animated film.

Kleem Productions produced Mahavatar Narsimha, which is based on Lord Vishnu's fourth avatar. According to the legendary narrative, Hiranyakashyap, a demon, once challenged Lord Vishnu and declared himself a divinity. The former's son, Prahlad, was regarded as deeply committed to Lord Vishnu. However, disturbed by his father's torment of the masses and devotees, Lord Vishnu arrives as Narsimha, a man-lion, to destroy the demon.

What started off with a bumper, record-breaking opening has slowly shown a major dip in collections over the week, given that the first-day excitement died down and the film did not meet fans' expectations. Coolie shows no growth The latest box office report on Sacnilk points out that the Lokesh Kanagaraj-directorial has minted as low as ₹5.26 crore on its eighth day of release. It is the lowest single-day collection forthe film so far. Coolie had a bumper opening last Thursday with ₹65 crore. It was the second-best domestic opening for any Tamil film, behind only Vijay's Leo ( ₹66 crore) and ahead of Rajni's own 2.0 ( ₹60 crore). The strong opening day put Coolie on track for a solid opening weekend, but it fell short in the next few days, showing no growth even on its first Sunday, collecting ₹ 35.25 crore.
