The Royal Medical Services (RMS) signed a cooperation agreement with Siemens Healthineers, on the sidelines of the 50th edition of the Arab Health Conference and Exhibition.
The agreement, signed by Brigadier General Dr. Shaikh Fahad bin Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, RMS Commander and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Overseas Treatment, and Vivek Kanade, CEO for the Middle East and Africa at Siemens, coincides with the launch of the NAEOTOM Alpha PCCT at the Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa Specialised Cardiac Centre, the first of its kind in the Middle East.
Brig. Gen. Dr. Shaikh Fahad highlighted RMS's commitment to advanced diagnostics and cardiac care. The NAEOTOM Alpha PCCT offers high-precision imaging with minimal radiation, enabling non-invasive cardiac diagnostics and reducing the need for catheterisation.

He also linked it to Bahrain's national plan (Bahrainouna), led by General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, to promote social cohesion and civic participation. Registration Process To register, individuals must log in via the eKey system, provide their details, and specify their donation preferences, which include organs such as the heart, liver, kidneys, and corneas. The minimum age requirement is 21 years, and full legal capacity is necessary. The decision to donate remains personal, with no provision for family members to act on behalf of the donor. Users can also check their application status - pending, approved, rejected, cancelled, or awaiting consent approval - based on their health condition. Users can also check their application status and cancel their registration electronically. Dr. Jaleela bint Al Sayed Jawad Hassan, Minister of Health, highlighted the initiative's role in promoting community giving and reinforcing humanitarian values. She noted that the updated registration system will streamline donor registration, provide an updated and reliable donor list, and enable faster medical response for patients in need. The minister underscored Bahrain's commitment to providing sustainable healthcare services under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
