Manama Health Congress Announces Fourth Edition in Partnership with Arab Hospitals Federation

Manama: Dr. Mariam Al Jalahma, CEO of Government Hospitals, has announced the fourth edition of the Manama Health Congress and Expo, which will gather leading healthcare experts and specialists from around the globe to explore the latest developments and trends in the sector. According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Al Jalahma stated that the conference, titled 'Shaping the Future of Healthcare and Insights,' will focus on technological advancements, smart hospitals, and the use of information systems and artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance the quality of healthcare services. She emphasized that the event will be held in collaboration with the Arab Hospitals Federation, which will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of the congress and exhibition by providing a professional platform for knowledge exchange and networking among healthcare professionals. The announcement was made during a press conference organized by Government Hospitals, attended by Fadi Alama, President of the Arab Hospitals Federation, and Alice Boueiz, Executive Director of the Federation, on the sidelines of the Arab Health Conference and Exhibition in Dubai. The event was held to announce the fourth edition of Manama Health, which is scheduled to take place from December 11-13 in partnership with the Arab Hospitals Federation. Dr. Al Jalahma also introduced a new initiative aimed at promoting the responsible and secure use of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare. The initiative focuses on ensuring that AI-driven innovations enhance the quality of medical services while maintaining patient safety and ethical standards. It seeks to establish guidelines for the safe integration of AI technologies in the healthcare sector, reinforcing accountability in their application and safeguarding against potential risks. RMS partners with M42 to enhance heart and lung transplant services

As part of an official visit to the United Arab Emirates, a delegation from Bahrain's Royal Medical Services (RMS), led by Brigadier General Dr. Shaikh Fahad bin Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Commander of the RMS, attended the 50th edition of the Arab Health Conference and Exhibition. During the visit, RMS signed a partnership with M42, a leading healthcare company, to facilitate heart and lung transplants for patients in Bahrain, ensuring adherence to top international standards. As part of this collaboration, RMS signed its first memorandum of understanding (MoU) with M42 to support heart and lung transplants in alignment with Abu Dhabi's national organ donation and transplantation programme, Hayat. The MoU was signed during a meeting at Arab Health by Brig. Gen. Dr. Shaikh Fahad bin Khalifa and Hasan Jassim Al Nowais, Managing Director and Group CEO of M42 and Chairman of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. Under the agreement, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, part of M42, will provide specialised transplant services through its Organ Transplant Centre, the UAE's only multi-organ transplant facility. Since its establishment in 2017, the centre has performed over 664 transplants, including 311 in the first half of this year. It has also been recognised by the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi as a centre of excellence for adult cardiac surgery. This partnership will enable Bahraini patients to benefit from RMS's advanced medical capabilities alongside Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's expertise in heart and lung transplantation. The strategic partnership between RMS and M42 aims to enhance medical excellence through high-quality education, knowledge exchange, and fellowship programmes. It also focuses on advanced laboratory diagnostics, including genomics, joint research, and improving clinical care in complex medical fields.

The Royal Medical Services (RMS) signed a cooperation agreement with Siemens Healthineers, on the sidelines of the 50th edition of the Arab Health Conference and Exhibition. The agreement, signed by Brigadier General Dr. Shaikh Fahad bin Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, RMS Commander and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Overseas Treatment, and Vivek Kanade, CEO for the Middle East and Africa at Siemens, coincides with the launch of the NAEOTOM Alpha PCCT at the Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa Specialised Cardiac Centre, the first of its kind in the Middle East. Brig. Gen. Dr. Shaikh Fahad highlighted RMS's commitment to advanced diagnostics and cardiac care. The NAEOTOM Alpha PCCT offers high-precision imaging with minimal radiation, enabling non-invasive cardiac diagnostics and reducing the need for catheterisation. BNA(R)

Dubai: Dr. Mariam Athbi Al Jalahma, CEO of Government Hospitals, participated in the 50th edition of the Arab Health Conference and Exhibition, held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre on January 27-30. According to Bahrain News Agency, the event was organised by the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention, the Government of Dubai, the Dubai Health Authority, the Department of Health, and the Dubai Healthcare City Authority. It brought together healthcare experts and officials from around the world to discuss the latest developments and challenges in the sector. Dr. Al Jalahma highlighted that Government Hospitals' participation aligns with its commitment to enhancing healthcare services and adopting best medical practices to strengthen Bahrain's healthcare system. She noted that Arab Health provides a valuable platform for fostering international cooperation and exchanging expertise with leading healthcare institutions.
