Tirumala Jeeyars begin Chaturmasya Deeksha
According to Sri Vaishnava tradition established by Bhagavad Ramanujacharya, Chaturmasya Deeksha begins on Ashada Shuddha Ekadashi, marking the day when Sri Vishnu enters Yoga Nidra, and ends on Karthika Shuddha Ekadashi when he wakes up. This four-month period is considered spiritually significant.
As part of the rituals, HH Pedda Jeeyar performed Kalasha Sthapana, Vishwaksena Aradhana, Medhini Puja and Mrutsangrahanam at the Jeeyar Mutt.
Later, he proceeded with HH Chinna Jeeyar and disciples to Swami Pushkarini, Sri Varaha Swamy temple, and then to the main temple amidst Mangala Vaidyams.
TTD Chairman B R Naidu, EO J Syamala Rao, Additional EO Ch Venkaiah Chowdary, and temple officials welcomed them at Mahadwaram.
The Jeeyars had darshan of Sri Venkateswara and they were later presented with Melchat Vastram and Noolchat Vastram respectively.
Later, both Jeeyars also offered blessings to the Chairman, EO and Additional EO on the occasion.

Tirumala witnesses heavy rush of devotees
Tirupati: The temple town of Tirumala remains crowded with a massive influx of devotees, many of whom have been waiting for nearly 24 hours in queue lines to have a darshan of Lord Venkateswara. The influx has persisted since Friday night, with the additional queue lines set up near the Silathoranam point continuing to witness high footfall even on Tuesday. The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has been struggling to manage the overwhelming number of visitors, as existing facilities for accommodation and other services are stretched to capacity. Long queues have spilled out of the Vaikuntam Queue Complex, extending into the Narayanagiri Gardens and stretching up to 2–3 kilometre along the Outer Ring Road. According to TTD officials, 92,221 pilgrims had darshan of the deity on Saturday, followed by 80,193 on Sunday and 74,149 on Monday. By 6 pm on Tuesday, more than 50,000 pilgrims had already completed darshan, while thousands more remained in the extended lines. It may be noted here that darshan commenced only after 12 noon on Tuesday as a sacred ritual, 'Koil Alwar Tirumanajanam' was performed in the morning. Despite the TTD's efforts to create additional queue shelters with roofing and improve crowd management, the long walking distances and prolonged waiting periods have posed difficulties, particularly for the elderly and children. Acting on the instructions of TTD Executive Officer J Syamala Rao and under the supervision of Additional EO Ch Venkaiah Chowdary, senior officers have been monitoring the situation on the ground to ensure smoother movement and better services for pilgrims. TTD has also arranged for the supply of Annaprasadam, drinking water, and security to manage the crowd effectively. TTD has requested devotees to be patient and prepared for extended wait times during their visit, given the continued heavy rush. Meanwhile, TTD received Rs 4.72 crore from hundi collections on Monday followed by Rs 4.43 crore on Sunday.

Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam performed at Srivari temple
Tirumala: On the eve of Anivara Asthanam (start of new accounting year at TTD), the sacred Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam cleansing ritual was performed with religious fervour at Tirumala Sri Venkateswara temple on Tuesday. TTD EO J Syamala Rao, along with TTD chairman B R Naidu and additional EO Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, speaking to the media outside the Srivari temple on the occasion, said that this traditional temple cleansing is performed four times a year before Ugadi, Anivara Asthanam, annual Brahmotsavam and Vaikuntha Ekadasi. As a part of this ritual, the sanctum sanctorum, sub-temples, walls, ceilings, and all puja materials are thoroughly cleaned using water and a herbal mixture 'Parimalam'. The Moola Virat was completely covered with a veil during the cleaning. After the cleansing, sacred aromatic water mixed with ingredients like Kasturi turmeric, pachcha karpooram, sandal paste, kumkum, and other fragrant powders was sprinkled throughout the temple. Later, the veil was removed, and priests performed special pujas and naivedyam as per tradition. darshan for devotees began subsequently. The Ashtadala Pada Padmaradhana Seva was cancelled for the day due to this ritual. TTD Board members Panabaka Lakshmi, G Bhanu Prakash Reddy, Naresh Kumar, Shanta Ram, Sadasiva Rao, Janga Krishnamurthy, Janaki Devi, Mahender Reddy, CVSO Muralikrishna, temple Deputy EO Lokanatham, and other officials were present.

TTD releases schedule for Oct quota
Tirumala: The released the schedule of October online quota for darshan and accommodation for the month of October on Tuesday. Arjitha Seva tickets for October will be released at 10 am on July 19. Devotees can enroll for the electronic dip till 10 am on July 21. Those who are allotted tickets through the lucky dip need to complete payment between July 21 and July 23 by 12 noon. On July 22 at 10 am, TTD will release Kalyanotsavam, Unjal Seva, Arjitha Brahmotsavam, Sahasra Deepalankara Seva, and Annual Pushpayagam tickets while the Virtual Seva tickets and related darshan slots for October will be released at 3 pm. Angapradakshinam tokens will be available on July 23 at 10 am while SRIVANI Trust tickets will be released at 11 am followed by the Senior Citizens, Physically-Challenged, and persons with chronic ailments will be released at 3 pm. Special Entry Darshan tickets of Rs 300 will be released on July 24 at 10 am while the accommodation quota for Tirumala and Tirupati will be released at 3 pm the same day.
