We are now into Week 2 of the 2025 Men's French Open, and it looks poised to be a doozy of a finish at Roland Garros this year.
Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, Novak Djokovic, Alexander Zverev, Jack Draper, Holger Rune, Lorenzo Musetti, Tommy Paul, Ben Shelton, and Frances Tiafoe are all still in the field, meaning just four of the top 15 seeds (Taylor Fritz, Casper Ruud, Daniil Medvedev, and Arthur Fils) have been eliminated at Roland Garros.
Six of those players are in action on Sunday.
Best bets for Day 8 of the 2025 French Open
Ben Shelton (+1000) vs. Carlos Alcaraz, approx. 8 a.m. Eastern
It's been an encouraging French Open for American Ben Shelton.
The 22-year-old Florida native had never made it beyond the third round at Roland Garros, so this has already been a successful trip to Paris for the rising star.
That said, Shelton has had things break his way in this tournament.
The Florida native was able to outlast Lorenzo Sonego in a marathon five-setter in Round 1, but he was dealt a huge break when his second-round opponent, Hugo Gaston, withdrew from the tournament, allowing him to rest before his showdown with World No. 167 Matteo Gigante in Round 3.
Shelton made quick work of the Italian to earn a date with Carlos Alcaraz in the Round of 16.
This is likely where the road ends for Shelton.
Alcaraz is a -2100 favorite to win the match, and he's -172 to do it in straight sets.
It's hard to see a path to Shelton making this a competitive match outside of Alcaraz not being on his game.
Shelton's powerful serve is his bread and butter, but Alcaraz is the best defender in the sport and will be aided by the slow conditions at Roland Garros.
This should be over quickly.
The play: Under 31.5 games (-115, FanDuel)
Holger Rune takes on Lorenzo Musetti in Round 4 of the 2025 French Open.
REUTERS
Holger Rune (+168) vs. Lorenzo Musetti, approx. 2:15 p.m. Eastern
They aren't the biggest names in action on Sunday, but Holger Rune and Lorenzo Musetti are a good bet to provide the best match.
Rune and Musetti are both ranked inside the top 10, and will know that the winner of this match will be the favorite in the quarterfinals against Frances Tiafoe or Daniel Altmaier.
Musetti has been the steadier of the two to this point in this tournament, but Rune's ability to dig deep in tricky situations has been impressive, especially considering his propensity to fall to pieces in those scenarios in the past.
Musetti may be the fresher player, but the fact that Rune has passed some tough tests is a good thing in my eyes.
This match is close to a coin flip, so Rune has value.
The play: Rune +168 (FanDuel)

Milwaukee Brewers vs Miami Marlins score, live game updates, highlights

The Milwaukee Brewers celebrate 25 years at Miller Park/American Family Field as they take on the Miami Marlins on July 27 prior to a much-anticipated alumni home run derby. Freddy Peralta (12-4, 2.85 ERA) starts on the mound for Milwaukee opposite Miami's Cal Quantrill (3-8, 5.24 ERA). Follow along for live updates. Blake Perkins can't rob the homer but saves a run It didn't take long for a bizarre play to unfold. With two outs in the top of the first, what was ruled as an Agustín Ramírez solo home run on the field was not only overturned upon replay review but the umpiring crew actually determined he had to go back a base because the defense gave up on the play once the call was made. Ramírez hit a towering fly to straightaway center off Peralta that Blake Perkins, playing his first game at American Family Field this year, nearly made a spectacular grab on. Perkins snagged the ball in his webbing as he reached over the fence, but it slipped out as he pulled it back. Somehow, though, the ball never hit anything but Perkins' glove past fence and it fell back into play after bouncing on the yellow padding. Peralta wound up walking the next hitter but got Otto Lopez to ground out to end the inning. What time is the Brewers game today? Time: 3:10 p.m. CT What channel is the Brewers game on today? 2025 Heisman Trophy Odds: Is 'Summer Favorite' Arch Manning a Good Bet?

One of the things I've learned covering sports betting over the last decade is it's not the best idea to bet the Heisman Trophy preseason favorite. Not a single "summer favorite" has won since 2015, and we've seen doozies like Sam Darnold, Leonard Fournette, Spencer Rattler and DJ Uiagalelei sit atop the betting boards as the calendar flipped to August. Conversely, we've seen players like Travis Hunter (50/1), Lamar Jackson (100/1) and Joe Burrow (200/1) defy betting odds to hoist the Heisman, while DeVonta Smith wasn't even listed before the 2020 campaign. Enter Arch Manning. The Texas quarterback with the million-dollar name is this year's favorite with a consensus price of around +600 in the market. Manning possesses insane upside on a team co-favored to win the national championship. That said, he threw for 939 yards last season with 13 total touchdowns. If Arch's last name was "Martin," the price might be double. Arch Manning's 2025 Heisman odds +500 Caesars ($10 wins $50) +500 Circa ($10 wins $50) +500 Westgate ($10 wins $50) +600 BetMGM ($10 wins $60) +700 DraftKings ($10 wins $70) +750 FanDuel ($10 wins $75) "I would throw anybody out at 5 or 6/1," Heisman voter and Pick Six Previews pundit Brett Ciancia told FOX Sports. "I wouldn't touch anything like that. It's such a crap shoot in August every year. "That's the beauty of college football. It's such a mystery how these Heisman races and All-American candidates will play out. Remember, Carson Beck was the favorite last year to win the Heisman and he ended up nowhere close. "I wouldn't touch any Heisman favorite." Ciancia's early darling is Clemson QB Cade Klubnik. "Even that's a little bit chalky at 9/1," he admitted. "He's a pretty safe bet coming in as a playoff contender. [Clemson] is going to be in the playoff mix, given how weak the ACC is. A very veteran roster around him, and they're building off a conference championship. That's my chalk pick. "If you want a lottery bet, I would go with Oklahoma's John Mateer at 30/1. It's going to be a high-powered, new-look offense there. He tore it up at Washington State with this same coordinator. I don't know if it's just the towel or the headband, but he looks like Baker Mayfield out there. "Similar playing style, he's going to get a ton of stats and if the Sooners make a run in the SEC, he'll be looked at as a Heisman candidate." I've buttered my bread with the aforementioned Beck, who transferred from Georgia to Miami to replace Heisman finalist and No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward. There's something to be said about a quarterback changing scenery to play in a system that's more conducive to putting up big numbers. FanDuel was dealing Beck at 37-1 a couple of weeks ago and yes, I would still bet him at 25-1 or higher if you're a little late to the party. Please don't bet FanDuel's current price at 18-1. Truth be told, Manning has the ability, name and surrounding talent to take this Heisman race and run with it. And I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried about him throwing three touchdowns against Ohio State in Columbus on Aug. 30 and never looking back. As we've learned, though, it's usually not that simple. Just ask Uncle Eli or Uncle Peyton. Sam Panayotovich is a sports betting analyst for FOX Sports and the BetMGM Network. Tour de France results: Race outlook after Thymen Arensman wins Stage 19

Thyman Arensman had a flair for the dramatic during the final mountain stage of the 2025 Tour de France. The Dutch rider passed Tour de France leaders Tadej Pogačar and Jonas Vingegaard on the final climb up La Plagne in the French Alps to win Stage 19 on Friday, July 25. It was Arensman's second stage win in less than a week at this year's Tour de France and occurred on a shorter-than-expected course. Race officials announced Thursday the route had been cut down by about 30 kilometers, avoiding the Col de Saisies mountain pass due to a herd of diseased cattle that needed to be culled. It was nonetheless perhaps the last chance for Vingegaard to challenge Pogačar. Though Vingegaard crossed the finish line in second place, Pogačar rode in right behind him with none of his time advantage lost. With just two stages left in the 2025 edition of cycling's biggest event, Pogačar is closing in on his second-straight Tour de France title (and fourth overall) when the riders make their way down the Champs-Élysées in Paris on Sunday for the traditional finale. Here's a look at the complete stage 19 results and 2025 Tour de France standings after Friday, July 25, as well as what's coming up this weekend: STAGE 19: Tour de France changes route after contagious outbreak in local cattle herd Stage 19 results Here are the final results of the 93.1-kilometer Stage 19 course from Albertville to La Plagne at the 2025 Tour de France on Friday, July 25 (with position, rider, team, time): Tour de France 2025 standings 2025 Tour de France jersey leaders Who's wearing the rainbow jersey at 2025 Tour de France? In addition to the four traditional colored jerseys at the Tour de France, the reigning world road race champion wears a rainbow-colored jersey. It's white with five colored stripes – blue, red, black, yellow and green (same as the colors of the Olympic rings) – and is currently worn by Tadej Pogačar of Slovenia. 2025 Tour de France next stage Stage 20 of the 2025 Tour de France is a 184.2-kilometer course on hilly terrain from Nantua to Pantarlier on Saturday, July 26. It is the penultimate race of this year's event.
