Why Taylor Swift Reclaiming Masters Was 'Even More Special' Because of Travis Kelce (Exclusive Source)
The Grammy-winning singer regained control of her masters nearly six years after her catalog was sold to Scooter Braun
Travis Kelce has supported the pop superstar throughout her ordeal, a source tells PEOPLETaylor Swift recently closed one of the most important chapters of her career — and having Travis Kelce by her side made the emotional milestone even more meaningful.
"Reclaiming her masters has been emotional and empowering. She's proud, relieved, and finally feels like a chapter has closed in the best possible way. Having Travis by her side for that milestone made it even more special," a source tells PEOPLE exclusively.
After years of public battles over ownership, the Grammy-winning star, 35, announced in an Instagram post on May 30 that she bought back her music catalog, giving her control of her first six albums.
The journey has been long and deeply personal for the pop icon, and one she didn't have to face alone. Kelce 'was honored to support her and he wouldn't have wanted it any other way."
According to the source, the couple is 'incredibly happy and in sync. There's a calmness and ease to their relationship right now that's been really grounding for Taylor and Travis.'
Following the wrap of her record-breaking Eras Tour, Swift has been taking a well-deserved break and spending it with Kelce. The twosome have been making the most of their quieter summer together, enjoying time away from the spotlight.
The couple has been spotted in the West Village during their time in Manhattan, often opting for low key date nights and cozy dinners with friends. In Nashville, they've spent time with Swift's family and inner circle, staying mostly out of the public eye.
'Taylor and Travis are soaking up every minute of this slower season together. They've been splitting their time between New York, Nashville, and a few quiet getaways, just enjoying each other's company without all the usual chaos.'
The summer pause has given them a chance to reconnect outside of their high-profile schedules and it's strengthened their relationship in new ways.
'This kind of downtime is rare for both of them, and it's really allowed their bond to deepen,' says the source. 'It's been a turning point for their relationship in a lot of ways.'
As PEOPLE previously reported, for the first time since the duo started dating in the summer of 2023, Swift is heading into an NFL season without the demands of a global tour.
'Taylor is really looking forward to the upcoming NFL season. Not just because she loves supporting Travis, but because for the first full season since they started dating, she's not juggling a packed tour schedule,' a source told PEOPLE at the time.
'This fall will be completely different,' the insider said. 'It's the first season where she's not constantly flying back and forth or working around an entire touring calendar.'
'The past two seasons were a whirlwind between performing across multiple countries, long flights, and trying to squeeze in alone time together wherever possible,' the source said. 'It wasn't easy but they made it work.'

‘Jurassic World: Rebirth' Defies Rotten Tomatoes, May Make A Billion Dollars
Jurassic World Rebirth If you're wondering why they're continuing to make Jurassic Park movies over and over again despite the quality being consistently sub-par, look no further than Jurassic World: Rebirth, which is now mirroring the box office haul of the last poorly reviewed Jurassic Park movie, Jurassic World: Dominion. Box office estimates for Jurassic World: Rebirth continue to climb. The film did $25 million in Thursday previews, and that will rise on Friday. The outpacing of expectations indicates that Rebirth may end up nabbing a $145 million opening in the US. Why is that number key? Because a $145 million haul would exactly mirror the domestic opening weekend of Jurassic World: Dominion, which went on to make $1.001 billion by the end of its global run, almost two-thirds of that outside the US. So, if the figures hold, Rebirth might hit that as well. This is a prime example of a split opening between critics and audiences, where lower critic scores have little effect on audience enjoyment and a big box office. The split of these two movies on Rotten Tomatoes sits at: The success of Rebirth is additionally impressive because the series has switched over from its core cast of Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard to being led by Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali and Jonathan Bailey. Great actors, but generally not thought of as massive box office draws, despite their fame. Jurassic World Rebirth If you look back even further, even lower audience scores cannot stop the Jurassic Park behemoth. 2018's Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom got a 47% critic score and an also-bad 48% audience score. Want to guess how much money it made? $1.3 billion. The original Jurassic World, which was well-liked by both groups, made $1.67 billion. The point being, audiences are going to show up for a Jurassic Park movie (now Jurassic World) no matter what. Yes, the box office has 'dropped' over time, but…dropped to a billion dollars. Few other franchises can boast that, and Jurassic Park has outlived the box office runs of most recent Marvel and Star Wars films at this point. It is not really a question at all whether another Jurassic World movie will be made, and best guess is probably another three years from now. Whether it stars these current actors remains to be seen, as it could be the start of another Pratt multi-film run led by Johansson. Given its performance, I'm sure everyone would love to return for more, including its director, Gareth Evans, where this is his first Jurassic film after directing several monster movies before this, including Godzilla. Jurassic World: Rebirth is a huge hit once again proving that critics don't always matter (somewhat of a bummer as a critic myself, but it's true). Kendrick Lamar Blocks One Of Hip-Hop's Most Successful Women From A New No. 1
Cardi B's 'Outside' debuts at No. 2 on both Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop and Hot Rap Songs charts, ... More landing behind "Luther" by Kendrick Lamar and SZA. BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA - MARCH 10: Cardi B attends the 2024 Vanity Fair Oscar Party hosted by Radhika Jones at Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on March 10, 2024 in Beverly Hills, California. (Photo by) Cardi B rules several Billboard charts this week with her brand new single 'Outside.' The tune opens in first place on five rankings, as it's a bestseller and a powerful streamer, especially within the hip-hop genre. The Grammy winner nearly secures a new champion on some of Billboard's most competitive style-specific tallies, but another one of the most successful names in the history of rap music blocks her. 'Outside' Starts Behind Kendrick Lamar 'Outside' debuts at No. 2 on both the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs charts this week. Cardi lands behind Kendrick Lamar and SZA's collaboration 'Luther,' which has been running the show for months. That track earns its twenty-seventh stay atop both of those consumption-based rosters. It recently became the longest-running No. 1 in the history of those two charts, and each week that it holds on, the song extends its lead and makes history once again. Cardi B's Collection of No. 1 Smashes Cardi has already claimed the top spot on both rankings in the past, where she enters in second place this time, so a No. 2 start isn't too disappointing. She has racked up half a dozen stints ruling the Hot Rap Songs ranking and one more on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs tally. She's also accrued more than 20 top 10s on the two busy lists. 'Outside' Enters at No. 1 on Several Billboard Charts While 'Outside' misses the throne on multiple rankings, it does conquer the Digital Song Sales, R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales, Rap Digital Song Sales, R&B/Hip-Hop Streaming Songs, and Rap Streaming Songs charts. 'Outisde' is the latest single from Cardi's highly anticipated upcoming full-length album Am I the Drama? As it arrives, the cut also reaches the top 10 on both the Streaming Songs chart and the Hot 100, where it narrowly manages to become her thirteenth smash to land inside that competitive region as it kicks off its time at No. 10.

Who Is Amanda Kloots' Late Husband? All About Nick Cordero's Legacy 5 Years After His Death
Amanda Kloots' husband, Nick Cordero, was a celebrated stage actor The couple married in 2017 and shared a son named Elvis In 2020, Kloots shared about Cordero's journey after being diagnosed with COVID-19 and tragically announced his death on July 5As the world was coming to grips with the devastating impacts of COVID-19, Nick Cordero's story garnered mass attention thanks to his wife, Amanda Kloots. Cordero caught the virus in late March of 2020 and spent 95 days in the hospital. He died five years ago on July 5, 2020. While Cordero was hospitalized, Kloots shared regular updates about her husband's health on Instagram with the hopeful hashtag, #wakeupnick. It sparked mass support from strangers and loved ones alike. After his death, Florence Pugh, a fellow actor and friend of the couple, commemorated Cordero's life on Instagram, writing, 'Nick, we love you to infinity and beyond. Rest In Peace you beautiful, beautiful man.' Kloots, a Broadway dancer-turned-fitness instructor, first met Cordero, an actor, in New York City. At the time, the pair were working on Bullets Over Broadway, for which Cordero received a Tony nomination. 'We were friends first and then fell in love,' Kloots wrote on Instagram about the early days of her relationship with Cordero. 'We got married in NYC in 2017 and had [our son] Elvis two years later.' Kloots continues to honor her late husband's memory in various ways. She's written a memoir, Live Your Life (2021), about her and Cordero's love story. Kloots also transformed her engagement ring into something 'more casual' she can continue to wear on her hand 'every day,' no matter her relationship status. In April 2025, Kloots went red carpet official with her new boyfriend, Justin Gimelstob. So, who was Amanda Kloots' husband? Here's everything to know about the late Nick Cordero and his relationship with the dancer. Cordero was born and raised in the west end of Hamilton, Ontario, a city southwest of Toronto. His mother was originally from Canada, while his father originated from Costa Rica. Following high school at Westdale Secondary, Cordero attended Toronto Metropolitan University, which is known for its arts programs. After two years studying acting, he dropped out to pursue music full time with his band Lovemethod. The group eventually separated, and Cordero returned to acting. While Cordero had television and film roles, his main place was in the theater. In Canada, he acted in Tony & Tina's Wedding, The Last Five Years, Equus, Blood Brothers and Fiddler On The Roof. On the small screen, Cordero worked on Queer As Folk and Brothers before relocating to N.Y.C. in the mid-2000s. Per The New York Times, Cordero's 'big break' came in 2014 with a musical adaptation of Woody Allen's Bullets Over Broadway. Cordero played Cheech, a tap-dancing gangster. It was this role that scored him a Tony nomination. Following Bullets, Cordero played the title character's husband in Waitress, as well as a mobster in A Bronx Tale. Bullets Over Broadway not only earned Cordero a Tony nomination, but it was also how he met his wife. Kloots, a dancer for the show, was married when she met Cordero. 'We were friends first and then fell in love,' she wrote on Instagram. After years of knowing each other, they married on Sept. 3, 2017. 'We really wanted a nighttime classic NYC wedding,' Kloots told BRIDES. The pair married at The Skylark, a cocktail lounge in Midtown. 'We both have worked on Broadway, so being just south of Times Square, 30 floors up, right in the middle of the skyscrapers, seemed so perfect!' she added. Kloots and Cordero had 70 guests in attendance, many of them Broadway performers. In March 2020, during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, Cordero caught the virus, resulting in his hospitalization. The actor stayed at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles for more than 90 days. On March 31, Kloots shared that Nick was in the ICU, as he had been experiencing difficulty breathing. During his prolonged hospital stay, Cordero faced complications including a lung infection, getting a temporary pacemaker and septic shock, the latter leading to a leg amputation. As Cordero continued to receive treatment, Kloots shared regular updates about her husband's condition on Instagram, uniting many on the internet, from friends and former castmates to new fans. Most of the updates Kloots gave and the support she received were shared through Instagram Stories, which she has saved as Highlights on her page. Following Kloots' lead, Cordero's supporters used the hashtag #wakeupnick and danced and/or sang for him daily. On July 5, 2020, Kloots shared that her husband had died. 'God has another angel in heaven now,' she wrote. In her post, she expressed her gratitude for 'the outpour of love , support and help we've received these last 95 days.' She added, 'You have no idea how much you lifted my spirits at 3pm everyday as the world sang Nicks song, Live Your Life.' Cordero's legacy lives on in many ways, but most literally through his son, Elvis, who was born on June 10, 2019. In 2024, Kloots recalled the 'crazy and beautiful moment' of having her son. 'Nick was the cutest new dad ... Elvis spent the first two days in the NICU and until I was strong enough to go he was running there every two minutes and taking every friend and family member to see his new son! He was SO PROUD.' While thousands of strangers rallied around Kloots while Cordero was in the hospital, notable loved ones did too. Among them were Zach Braff, who was best friends with Cordero, and his then-girlfriend, Florence Pugh. In the wake of Cordero's death, Pugh shared a video of him singing and wrote: 'My friend Nick Cordero passed this morning, holding hands with all his loved ones. Him and his wife @amandakloots have been fighting extremely hard for 90 days.' She ended with a call to 'take this virus seriously,' adding, 'Wear your mask, respect others' space, clean your hands and please be safe.' In 2023, Braff honored the three-year anniversary of Cordero's death, writing, 'Three years ago today we lost our Nick. There was not a kinder person on Earth. We never know how long we've got. Carpe Diem.' While Cordero was in the hospital, Kloots and her family lived in Braff's guesthouse, per The New York Times. Braff remains close with Kloot and her son. In June 2024, he attended Elvis' preschool graduation. To commemorate that day, the mom of one shared a series of photos, including one with Braff. 'I got to say between his birthday, Father's Day and then graduation.. June has not been an easy grief month at all ... BUT, to have friends in my life that show up, stand beside me, and hold our hands time and time again makes all the difference!' she said. Read the original article on People
