went missing after a night out at a Bangsar bar on May 27, has appealed for anyone who had seen him or with any information to come forward.
Jordan Johnson-Doyle's mother, Leanne Burnett, said the family is deeply worried as they have yet to receive any news of his whereabouts.
She said her husband is currently in Kuala Lumpur and has been meeting with police to gather information.
'We are distraught and pray that he is well somewhere. The family is seeking the help of anyone who saw him at his last known destination to come forward and inform the police.
'My other son and I are leaving for Malaysia later today. We will do all we can to locate our son,' she told FMT in a phone interview.
It was earlier reported that Johnson-Doyle was on a solo backpacking tour of Southeast Asia.
He was believed to have gone to Healy Mac's Irish Bar in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur, for a pub quiz, based on a photo he sent to his mother, Leanne Burnett.
Burnett told The Daily Mail UK that even if her son's phone or laptop had been stolen, Johnson-Doyle knows her number and would have found a way to call.
She added that the Find My iPhone app showed his phone last pinged near a residential building close to the bar, with the signal going silent three days later on May 30, possibly due to a dead battery.
When contacted, a spokesman for the British high commission said they are 'supporting the family of a British man reported missing in Malaysia'.

IPOH, June 7 — A police sergeant was killed while on his way home to Kedah after the motorcycle he was riding skidded at Kilometre 253.7 of the North-South Expressway (NSE) northbound near Kuala Kangsar yesterday. Perak police chief Datuk Noor Hisam Nordin said in the incident at about 7.24 pm, the victim Shamsul Ishak, 58, who was attached to the Special Branch of the Kedah contingent police headquarters sustained injuries to his left rib area. 'Further investigations found that when the victim reached the location of the incident, he was believed to have lost control (of the motorcycle) and veered off, crashing into the metal road divider, causing him to be thrown off. The victim, who was severely injured, was taken by ambulance to Taiping Hospital for further treatment. 'However, he was pronounced dead at around 9.24 pm in the hospital's emergency ward,' he said. He also said the victim was believed to have been on holiday and making his way back home to Alor Setar, Kedah after meeting with his friends across the state. He added that further investigations are still ongoing and the case is now being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. — Bernama

Midnight crash in Jerantut kills five family members, three others injured in two-vehicle collision
KUANTAN, June 7 — Five members of a family were killed in a two-vehicle collision on Jalan Jerantut Feri, Jerantut, around midnight last night. Pahang Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) director Mohd Razam Taja Rahim said the incident, which occurred around midnight, involved a Perodua Bezza and a Toyota Alphard. He said three men and two women, aged between 17 and 26, who were travelling in the Perodua Bezza, died at the scene. Two of the victims were trapped inside the vehicle, while the other three were thrown out due to the impact. 'The victims in the Toyota Alphard comprised two men and one woman, all of whom sustained injuries,' he said in a statement today. He added that initial investigations revealed the Toyota Alphard was travelling from Pulau Tawar to Jerantut, while the Perodua Bezza was on its way from Bota, Perak, to Jerantut. Mohd Razam said firefighters used rescue tool equipment to extricate the trapped victims, and all five deceased were handed over to the police for further action. He added that the three injured victims were transported to a nearby hospital by the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) ambulance. — Bernama

Singapore PR jailed 10 days for chokehold on Marina Bay Sands security officer after boozy night out
SINGAPORE, June 7 — A Russian national and Singapore permanent resident has been jailed for 10 days after attacking a security officer in a lift at Marina Bay Sands (MBS) following a night of heavy drinking, Channel News Asia (CNA) reported yesterday. Konstantin Gavrilov, 45, had been drinking at a company event at Marina Bay Financial Centre on the evening of November 29, 2023, where he consumed about five glasses of beer. He later moved to Ce La Vi at MBS, where he drank vodka, before heading to Avenue, a nightclub in the MBS basement. At some point before 4.51am on November 30, Gavrilov caused a disturbance at the club by knocking into other patrons. Security officers were called in and escorted him out. Among them was a 51-year-old part-time security officer who had worked at MBS for five years. As the group accompanied Gavrilov into a lift, the officer tried to calm him down. Gavrilov initially appeared cooperative, but without warning, he turned and punched the officer in the face. He then placed the officer in a chokehold, dragging him around the confined space as the two other guards tried to intervene. According to court documents, 'Konstantin Gavrilov struck the victim's face in an elevator,' before 'put[ting] the victim in a chokehold' during the 31-second incident caught on CCTV. The victim, who fell during the attack, suffered dizziness and numbness in his face. His spectacles were broken in the scuffle and later repaired at a cost of S$15 (RM50), which Gavrilov reimbursed. One officer ran for help while others eventually managed to subdue Gavrilov as the lift reached the first floor. Police arrived shortly after 5.50am and arrested him at the scene. Gavrilov was taken to the Police Cantonment Complex, where a blood test revealed he had 204mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood — more than four times Singapore's legal driving limit. He pleaded guilty to one charge of causing hurt and was sentenced yesterday. For voluntarily causing hurt, he could have faced up to five years in jail, a fine of up to S$10,000, or both.
