Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey trailer leaked, Tom Holland steals the show

Christopher Nolan's next epic, The Odyssey, has made its first appearance — although not officially. Staying true to his commitment to theatrical-first storytelling, Nolan has chosen to debut the film's teaser exclusively in cinemas ahead of Jurassic Park: Rebirth. While The Odyssey is slated for a grand release on July 17, 2026, curious fans have already caught glimpses of the trailer through leaked phone footage on X (formerly Twitter).
Echoing the hush-hush rollout of Oppenheimer, the teaser has yet to be officially released online. But those who've seen it describe an atmospheric, myth-laced tone. As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, a voiceover paired with sweeping sea visuals sets the stage: 'Darkness. Zeus' law was smashed to pieces. I'm without a king since my master died. He knew it was an unwinnable war. And then, somehow, he won it.'
The Odyssey Teaser 'leaked' online
Tom Holland plays Odysseus' son Telemachus in the trailer, while Jon Bernthal plays an unidentified character. The emotional centre of the movie is established by a brief conversation between the two.
Fans are left wanting more when 'One Year From Now... A Journey Begins' comes on screen in a large font. Matt Damon's Odysseus is shown to be stranded on a wooden raft as the teaser trailer ends in the ocean.
Variety claims that the first glimpse of Tom Holland's Telemachus, who questions Jon Bernthal's character, is included in the 70-second teaser. "I have to find out what happened to my father. When did you last see him?" Bernthal responds, "I know nothing of Odysseus, not since Troy. Interested in rumor, huh? Gossip. Who has a story about Odysseus, huh? Some say he's rich or some say he's poor. Some say he perished. Some say he's imprisoned. What say you?"
More about 'The Odyssey'
With 'The Odyssey', Nolan will begin a full-scale cinematic siege. The film's production started in February 2025, and filming is still ongoing. In addition to Morocco, Greece, Italy, Scotland, Los Angeles, and now Iceland, it will soon move to Ireland in July and London afterwards.
On July 17, 2026, 'The Odyssey' is anticipated to be released in theatres. The epic, which will be shown in IMAX theatres, is supported by Universal Pictures. The Odyssey is reportedly Nolan's most expensive film till date, with a $250 million budget. IMAX cameras are being used to shoot the entire movie. The movie is expected to be a significant summer event in 2026.

As BTS Jungkook shows off new chest tattoo in rare gym photo, fans dig out his old tattoo-less pics: ‘He's come so far'

It's not just the music that's evolving in K-pop; the idols are too. Jungkook, BTS's golden maknae, is no longer the baby-faced boy who debuted with shy smiles and schoolboy charm. A recent post-workout photo has fans buzzing after revealing his ever-growing tattoo collection — this time, a detailed chest piece that sparked an online frenzy. BTS Jungkook shows off new chest tattoo in rare gym photo The picture, shared by Jungkook's gym trainer Ma Sun Ho, captures the singer in a black tank, shorts, and a beanie, mid-coffee break after an intense session. While his face is partially hidden behind a mask, his newly visible chest tattoo wasn't, and it immediately stole the spotlight. Ma captioned the post with a playful jab at the idol's drive: 'Today is another JK and, why you gotta go so hard? Training continues even in Korea.' It didn't take long for ARMY to start dissecting the image. One fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter), 'I can't wait until we get a clearer look and maybe even the story behind Jungkook's new tattoo, if he chooses to share it with us of course. From this photo it looks like an abstract design... what if it's something he drew himself? Regardless, JK and the tattoo look amazing!' Another joked, 'Don't let his jungkookieness distract you from his new tattoo peaking out.' But what really sent fans into nostalgic overdrive was when one user posted a throwback pic of Jungkook before he got inked — creating a dramatic before-and-after moment that felt like a snapshot of K-pop's shifting era. Gone are the days when BTS had to maintain a squeaky-clean, tightly curated image just to build a following. Now, in a world where Blackpink members push fashion boundaries on tour and idols like Bain from Just B come out onstage, Jungkook's tattoos feel less like rebellion and more like evolution. Whether this latest chest tattoo carries personal meaning or is simply an aesthetic choice, fans are absolutely here for it.
