Ronnie O'Sullivan makes two maximum breaks in Saudi Arabia Masters semi-final
O'Sullivan's first 147 came in the opening frame of the match and with the scores locked at 3-3, the Rocket completed a second to earn a £147,000 bonus for making two maximum breaks across the UK Championship, Masters, World Championship and Saudi Arabia Masters.
Ronnie also slotted breaks of 134 and 142 in a dominant display and will take on Neil Robertson in the final of the competition.
O'Sullivan told TNT Sports: 'I'm sitting there at 3-3 thinking I'm probably going to lose this game after a maxi, a 142 and a 70 clearance.
'He (Wakelin) is a monster. I said he's going to win a ranking event, he's so solid. He's better than solid, solid is a compliment, he's very reliable but he's got more than that. It's like Kyren Wilson. As a player he's very hard to break down. He's a superb competitor, superb player.'
Robertson beat Elliot Slessor 6-3 to reach the final before revealing he had met his pre-season goal of qualifying for the Tour Championship.
Former world champion Robertson was never headed in Jeddah as he made the 39th ranking final of his career.
'This is the biggest tournament we have until the World Championship,' Robertson told TNT Sports.
'With the ranking points available, I don't have to worry about playing in the Invitational or the Tour Championship.
'I set a goal at the start of the season to get into the Tour Championship.
'That was my only goal and I've done that already in the first tournament. It's nice it takes care of the rest of the season.'
Englishman Slessor, 29th in the official world rankings but set to rise several places after picking up the biggest cheque of his career, won the third frame with a 92 break.
Robertson responded with 93 against his regular practice partner and a crucial pink down the rail in the seventh frame put him in control at 5-2.
'We practice a lot with each other and there's usually heavy scoring,' said the Australian.
'We tried to make things happen but the balls ran awkward, and we both missed some tricky pots that led to scrappy frames.
'Knowing him well, if I wasn't playing him I would have wanted him to win the match. It's quite tough but you've got to put that aside.'
Robertson sealed matters with his second 93 break to book his place in Saturday's final.

Eddie Howe gives update on Alexander Isak saga with wantaway forward looking to secure Liverpool move as Newcastle boss admits it has been a 'distraction'
Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has provided an update on the Alexander Isak saga and admitted that it was a 'distraction' during pre-season. Isak is currently on strike as he looks to secure a move to Liverpool before the transfer window closes on September 1. The striker wasn't part of the Newcastle squad for their opening game of the Premier League season away to Aston Villa. Howe wants Isak to play but it seems highly unlikely that he will feature in upcoming fixtures against Liverpool or Leeds. Asked for an update on the situation with Isak, Howe told TNT Sports: 'No different to how its been for a number of weeks really. He's not here today, we're without him, and we're adapting to that and still trying to be competitive. 'Today will be a big test for us. Aston Villa did very well last year, we know how difficult this ground is to come to and play but we're looking forward to it. I think it's a strong team we picked so fingers crossed we go well.' In the absence of Isak, winger Anthony Gordon was chosen to start as a central striker for Newcastle against Villa. Howe said: 'We believe in the team that we picked today and we believe in all the players we have in our squad. There's been distractions during pre-season but that's all been for me, not so much the players. The players should be in good condition to play today. Asked if he feels let down regarding the Isak situation, Howe said: 'I don't think now's the time to discuss that, we're about to play a game. All my emotions are towards this game and making sure we're competitive, driven, motivated. This is a tough place to come if you're one or two per cent down. We've got to be there mentally today, me included, the whole coaching staff. There's no feeling of anything other than wanting to give our best today.' Howe revealed in his pre-match press conference that he wanted Isak to train and play. He said: 'Of course, I've said many times I want him to train and play. I've had those conversations with him, but the details of these conversations need to remain private.' 'It (training alone) is not something you ever want to see. You want to see him with the squad, you want to see him happy and enjoying his football. He is contracted to us. He is here, so for me, that is an unfortunate situation.' On August 1 Liverpool had a bid of £110million plus add-ons rejected for Isak, who missed the club's pre-season tour of Asia. Howe expressed his belief that there could still be a way back for Isak at Newcastle. He said: 'Yes, I believe there is. The Nuke picked up £30,000 and admitted: 'Tonight couldn't have gone any better. The scoring, the doubles. I was in the zone and I wasn't missing much. 'Just getting into that place, getting into a rhythm. Gezzy (Price), the record, everyone knows and it was nice to get another win against him. Luke wasn't at his best but I think I was just a bit better tonight. 'It felt pretty much like last week. I had a shaky start but once you come into the second day, I know I've got to switch it on and that's what I've done. 'In the final I just felt untouchable, everything was going in, even the doubles. The power scoring was there once again. 'Happy to go home tomorrow as back-to-back champion. 'This is definitely better than Hamilton last year. The venue feels like a Premier League night. It's packed and we come here to play great darts. 'I'm playing very well and I'm on a winning streak. But next up is Antwerp for the European tour, hopefully I can keep this going.' Littler was always in control of the final and even hit a perfect leg with his practice darts. He added: 'I came back on the stage after the break and my first nine darts was a nine darter. He said: 'Yesterday when I was playing I felt a bit drained to be honest. 'To be fair, I played alright today. But when Luke hits a 115 average there's not much you can do. 'For sure the better player won. When he's on it, he's untouchable. 'I held in there a little bit but he was just too good in the end. 'When his music comes on and my music comes on. I live for it. I want to play him all the time. It really gets me up for it. 'He was unbelievable there. It is inconvenient when you run into someone as good as him. I gave my best and it was a tough game.'
