This 2023 Midnight Express 43' Solstice Will Make You a Menace on the Water
Do you need a supercar equivalent for the open seas? Perhaps you want the horsepower figures of your garage to carry over to your dockside parking spot. If you fit in either of those two categories, this 2023 Midnight Express 43' Solstice might be calling your name.
This luxurious center console, 16,000 lb. behemoth features a class-leading 12'6″ beam and a twin-step hull for reduced drag and superior performance. That latter statistic is helped by its quad 450R Mercury Racing Motors, which can propel you to speeds approaching 85 mph and feature automatic motor flush. With a fuel capacity of 450 gallons and an efficiency of around 1.2 miles per gallon at 40MPH, though, we recommend keeping the closest fuel station in mind if you'll be putting those quad motors to work.
This particular example is painted throughout, including the hull bottom and deck, with a black-and-white color scheme accented by neon blue finishes on the motors and hardtop supports. The upholstery has been upgraded with headrests and coaming pads, while foam decking has been applied throughout the cockpit, console, and transom well. Seating is provided by a U-lounge aft seat with storage and a fiberglass base and a forward fiberglass U-seat with an electric fiberglass table.
The interior of the console sports the same kind of luxury, with a TV in the cabin, 8000 BTU reverse cycle AC, a 5.0KW Gas Generator with a remote start panel mounted in the cabin, and a 110V distribution panel. Midnight Express didn't skimp on the tech either, with Garmin 8622 Chartplotters, a Depth Sounder, a 4kw HD open array radar, a FLIR System with ~240 degrees of viewing, and a rear-facing camera under the hard top. Even when the quad motors get too loud, your tunes stay audible thanks to the JL sound system with 14 8.8″ speakers in the cockpit, six 12″ subwoofers, amplifiers, two 12″ subwoofers in the second helm seat, two 8.8″ Speakers in the rear U-seat, and four molded-in speakers on the hardtop.
The 2023 Midnight Express 43' Solstice delivers one hell of an experience on the waves, ensuring you stay comfy regardless of whether you're cruising or pushing the four motors to their limits. If a party out at sea is more your vibe, the JL sound system and insulated coolers can make that dream a reality, too. This kind of fun doesn't come cheap, though, and this Solstice wears a price tag of $1,150,000. That's a pretty penny, but if you want to make sure that anyone you take out at sea will have an unforgettable experience they'll bring up time and time again, this is one of the best ways to do it.

Highway robbery: Scammers bring back classic scam
(WHTM) — Ever get a text message saying you owe money for a toll? The messages know how to get your attention. They claim you have an outstanding traffic ticket and that if you don't pay immediately, you'll lose your registration and driving privileges. That got drive Scott Ruby's attention. 'I know that they can be awfully confusing to people, especially my age, who take this stuff for truth,' Ruby said. As summer returns, so does this infamous scam. States are warning drivers they will never text demanding money. The bottom line: Don't respond to unsolicited texts. Easy enough for Ruby — 'I owe so much that I ignore them anyway.' If you're ever unsure, call the state's agency directly at its official number to verify. Find more stories on Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. State police release details in Derby rollover that closed I-91 South
DERBY, Vt. – A part of Interstate 91 in Derby was closed due to a dump truck rollover at about 10:03 a.m. Monday morning. On Monday afternoon, Vermont's Department of Motor Vehicles released more information about the accident. The black Western Star dump truck, according to state investigators, weighed about 68,000 pounds, or 34 tons. It was carrying a load of sand northbound on I-91 past Exit 28 in Derby when its left steer axle tire failed in the front of the vehicle. The driver, from Wheelock, VT, lost control of it as a result, but sustained only minor injuries. I-91 North remained open with one lane, but I-91 South was fully closed while responders worked to move the vehicle and clean up liquid that was seen to be leaking from it. One lane of I-91 South reopened after just 25 minutes. The highway then had to be closed again for 15 minutes shortly after 1:00 p.m. as work continued to remove the truck from the roadway. As of 6:33 p.m, there are still lanes closed on the highway and motorists may experience delays, but another full closure is not anticipated. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
