Mahapanchayat held in protest against Sikar Master Plan 2041
The opposition to the masterplan 2041 pertains to residents of affected villages claiming that after the implementation of Master Plan 2031 and Sikar being granted divisional status, the UIT implemented Master Plan 2041, which is neither relevant nor logical. They claim that land allocated for specific purposes in the 2031 Master Plan has been removed, and areas have been designated. They also claimed road alignments were made arbitrarily — width set at 400 feet in some places and 200 feet in others without site visits, even where houses already exist in colonies.
Instead of widening existing roads, new roads have been shown in the master plan.
Protesters alleged that the new masterplan was firmed up without due stakeholder consultations. They also said changes in land use as per the 2031 plan had led farmers to sell their land at low prices to the land mafia. As per the 2041 plan, these tracts of land have now been designated for free acquisition, leaving farmers feeling cheated and fearing fresh land acquisition especially since the new plan has marked new sector roads, passing through farmers' fields.

This also includes residential colonies, approved by the UIT, being shown as public use land in 2041, even when these approved colonies are already populated.
The mahapanchayat, attended by political functionaries including state Congress chief Govind Singh Dotasra, Sikar MLA Rajendra Pareek, Congress district president Sunita Githala, CPM MP Amra Ram, and former MLA Pema Ram, among others, announced a complete shutdown in Sikar on August 16, demanding cancellation of the master plan.
Dotasra criticised BJP and asserted the need for everyone to fight the master plan, claiming the govt would eventually have to yield. "Congress is pursuing a legal battle for this," he said. Dotasra also criticised the govt for cancelling the Sikar division and Neem Ka Thana district.
CPM MLA Amra Ram said the master plan was not intended for the development of Sikar but for its destruction, alleging that the govt only sought to seize the land of poor farmers.

DGCA Investigates Air India After Congress MP KC Venugopal's Shocking Near-Death Flight Experience
Congress leader and party general secretary KC Venugopal has narrated a chilling account of Air India flight AI 2455 from Thiruvananthapuram to Delhi, which made an emergency diversion to Chennai on Sunday night. The flight, carrying several Members of Parliament, was delayed at departure before being hit by unprecedented turbulence shortly after take-off. Venugopal said a suspected technical fault forced the pilot to divert to Chennai, but what followed was even more nerve-racking, nearly two hours of circling before a failed first landing attempt. 'Another aircraft was reportedly on the same runway. The Captain's quick decision to pull up saved every life on board,' he wrote, adding that 'passenger safety cannot depend on luck.' Air India later clarified that the go-around was due to ATC instructions amid poor weather, not runway conflict. The DGCA is probing the incident as the airline faces increasing scrutiny over safety lapses following the deadly June 12 crash and other alarming episodes.#dgca #airindia #kcvenugopal #flightincident #aviationsafety #flightnews #india #breakingnews #airindiaprobe #midairscare #delhinews #thiruvananthapuram #chennailanding #atc #planeincident #breakingnews #trending #trendingnow #toi #bharat #toibharat #indianews Read More

"The country can see if there is anyone who is working against the Constitution, it is led by Rahul Gandhi. SIR is not happening for the first time in the country. Congress lies about EVMs, raises the issue of Maharashtra elections, Haryana elections and creates a mountain of lies. It is their well-thought-out strategy to create a state of anarchy I appeal to the Opposition and the Congress party to raise all issues in discussion on Operation Sindoor in Parliament, the Opposition and Congress had no agenda.
