These Are the Best Airport Restaurants, According to Yelpers
Have you ever been to a new airport for the first time, fervently searching for something to eat, but not sure if you wanted to try something new? When your time is short and you're about to hop on another flight, it can feel like quite the risk. Thankfully, crowd-sourced review company Yelp recently compiled a list of travelers' favorite airport businesses in its 2025 Yelp Most Loved Airport Brands report.
The company evaluated businesses across several metrics, including ratings, reviews, and photo uploads on its site, as well as other factors like the number of airports the brand has locations at (the minimum was five). Perhaps unsurprisingly, Yelp's list was made up almost entirely of food and beverage companies. It seems everyone, regardless of where they are going or why, wants a little treat during their travels.
'Airports are some of the most crowded, high-stress environments, so the brands that stand out understand the modern traveler's mindset—prioritizing speed without sacrificing experience, and delivering memorable moments,' said Kadecia Ber, senior director of campaign strategy for national brands at Yelp, said in a statement obtained by Travel + Leisure . 'Whether it's a glass of wine before boarding or a protein smoothie between connections, these most loved airport brands are redefining what it means to travel well, and Yelp is proud to help travelers discover them.'
After combing through all the data, Yelp named Vino Volo, a lounge-style stop that offers a slightly upscale experience with things like small plates and wines by the glass on the menu, the best brand that you can find at an airport.
After Vino Volo, chicken sandwich spot Chick-fil-A and East Coast burger chain Shake Shack made the second and third spots, respectively. Here's the complete top ten: Vino Volo Chick-Fil-A Shake Shack Potbelly Sandwich Shop Starbucks Einstein Bros. Bagels Qdoba Dunkin' The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Xpresspa
For those familiar with the airport, you'll quickly recognize that the last brand in the top 10 doesn't sell any food—instead specializing in massages and other quick relaxation services. It seems that for people on the go, wellness is still a priority, even if it's a 10-minute massage during a layover.
Other traveler favorites made appearances in the top 20, such as McDonald's, Panda Express, Chili's, Smashburger, Garrett Popcorn Shops, Burger King, Jamba Juice, California Pizza Kitchen, Peet's Coffee, and Wendy's. Really, the rule of thumb seems to be that if you're in an airport, go with a brand you know from the outside world.

This Beach Was Named No. 1 in Asia—and It Has Powdery White Sand, Crystal-clear Waters, and Majestic Rock Formations
The Philippines is made up of 7,641 islands, and this stunning archipelago is famous for its natural beauty and diverse coral reefs. This island nation is home to some of the most pristine beaches in the world. In fact, World's 50 Best Beaches just named Entalula Beach in Palawan, a province in the Philippines, the best beach in Asia—and the second best beach in the world. Entalula Beach is part of the El Nido region of Palawan. Its sandy white shores are surrounded by clear, turquoise water. This tropical paradise is surrounded by looming limestone cliffs and dotted with lush vegetation. Visitors can snorkel through vibrant coral reefs that are just a short swim from the shore, or they can search for hidden coves by paddle board or kayak. After a long day in the water, the palm trees and powdery sand provide the perfect spot to enjoy a good book or suntan session. Entalula Beach is largely beloved thanks to its seclusion. Visitors can only access the beach by boat, which takes about 30 minutes to an hour. The surrounding islands ensure that the journey will be just as beautiful as the destination. This also makes the beach far less busy than others in the El Nido region, and the peace and quiet allow travelers the chance to fully immerse themselves in nature. The beach is just as beautiful below the water as it is above it. Scuba divers enjoy exploring the west bay of Entalula Island, which has a beautiful coral garden and El Nido's famous limestone wall diving site. Divers commonly spot sharks, whales, dolphins, and turtles off the coast of the island. There are many tours that take travelers from El Nido to Entalula Beach. These also often include visits to the Secret Lagoon, Cudugnon Cave, and other islands in the area. For the most serene experience, travelers are advised to opt for the early morning tours that avoid the crowds. In addition to its gorgeous beaches, the Philippines is also known for its bustling cities, delightful cuisine, and warm hospitality. This is a country where each island opens the door to a new adventure–whether it is swimming with dugongs in Calauit Island or hiking Bohol's Chocolate Hills.

Shaquille O'Neal to pay $1.8 million to settle FTX class action lawsuit
Former NBA player Shaquille O'Neal will pay $1.8 million to settle a class action lawsuit related to the demise of cryptocurrency exchange FTX. O'Neal, and other celebrities like Tom Brady and Stephen Curry, were named in the lawsuit in 2022. They had been accused of touting FTX as a reputable and trustworthy investment option via paid endorsements. The proposed settlement only pertains to O'Neal. Three years ago FTX was the third-largest cryptocurrency exchange, but it ended up with billions of dollars worth of losses and had to seek bankruptcy protection. The Bahamas-based company and its founder, Sam Bankman-Fried, came under investigation by state and federal authorities for allegedly investing depositors funds in ventures without their approval. Before its failure, FTX was known to use high-profile Hollywood and sports celebrities to promote its products. It had the naming rights to a Formula One racing team as well as a sports arena in Miami. Its commercials featured 'Seinfeld' creator Larry David, as well as Brady, the former quarterback of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New England Patriots, basketball players O'Neal and Curry, and tennis star Naomi Osaka. Bankman-Fried was sentenced to 25 years in prison in March 2024. A little more than a month after that, FTX said in a court filing that nearly all of its customers would receive the money back that they were owed. While the proposed settlement with O'Neal had been agreed to in April, the payment amount and other terms were disclosed in a filing with the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida, Miami Division, earlier this week. The settlement class includes anyone who deposited funds into FTX or bought its FTT token between May 2019 and late 2022. The agreement, which still needs court approval, would provide O'Neal with a broad release from future claims and also includes a stipulation that he can't seek reimbursement from the FTX estate. The payment will be made within 30 days of the settlement being finalized, according to the filing.

Consumer sentiment rose in June for 1st time this year as inflation remains stayed tame
WASHINGTON (AP) — Consumer sentiment increased in June for the first time in six months, the latest sign that Americans' views of the economy have improved as inflation has stayed tame and the Trump administration has reached a truce in its trade fight with China. The preliminary reading of the University of Michigan's closely watched consumer sentiment index, released Friday, jumped 16% to 60.5. The large increase followed steady drops that left the preliminary number last month at the second-lowest level in the nearly 75-year history of the survey. Consumer sentiment is still down 20% compared with December 2024. 'Consumers appear to have settled somewhat from the shock of the extremely high tariffs announced in April and the policy volatility seen in the weeks that followed,' Joanne Hsu, director of the survey, said in a written statement. 'However, consumers still perceive wide-ranging downside risks to the economy.' Americans have largely taken a darker view of the economy's future after President Donald Trump unleashed a wide-ranging trade war, imposing steep tariffs on China, the European Union, and dozens of other countries. Yet in April Trump postponed a set of sweeping tariffs on about 60 nations and last month reached a temporary truce with China, after both sides had sharply ratcheted up tariffs on each other. U.S. duties remain elevated compared with historical levels, but so far they have not worsened overall inflation.
