DEARBORN, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ford Motor Company announced today that Alicia Boler Davis, an accomplished executive with more than 30 years of experience in automotive, technology, and customer experience, has been named president of Ford Pro, effective Oct. 1. She succeeds Andrew Frick, who has served as interim leader of Ford Pro since last year and will continue to lead Ford Blue and Ford Model e.
Under Frick's leadership, Ford Pro grew market share in North America and Europe, delivered healthy margins, and started the focus on increasing aftermarket percentage of Pro EBIT through an unmatched ecosystem of vehicles, software, services and parts. He also worked closely with the dealer network as they have invested billions to strengthen their Pro business, especially in service capacity and their mobile service fleet.

Davis was most recently CEO of Alto Pharmacy, an online pharmacy that grew revenue to more than $1 billion under her leadership before its acquisition in March. From 2019 to 2024, she served in senior roles at Amazon, joining as vice president of global customer fulfillment and then promoted to senior vice president in 2022. In that role, she guided Amazon's global fulfillment network through the intense challenges of the COVID‑19 pandemic, driving major advances in robotics and technology that kept goods moving for millions of customers around the world.
Before Amazon, Davis worked for 25 years at General Motors. She started as a manufacturing engineer and rose through leadership roles in manufacturing, quality and connected customer experience. In her final GM post – as executive vice president of global manufacturing and labor relations, reporting directly to the CEO – she oversaw 22 vehicle launches and managed 150 facilities in 20 countries.
Davis, who was born in Detroit and had several family members, including her father and grandfather, who worked at Ford over the years, said the challenge of leading Ford Pro resonated deeply on a personal and professional level.

Davis serves on the board of directors of JPMorgan Chase & Co. She holds a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Northwestern University, a master's degree in engineering science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business.

Although the CEO emphasized that everything was done to avoid job losses, he said that restructuring is still necessary in order to align with 'the realities of our business' while continuing to invest in new science. Nevertheless, despite the cuts, Moderna maintains that its outlook remains positive. The super PAC affiliated with President Donald Trump's raised $177 million in the first half of 2025, new fundraising reports show — with GOP megadonors, key Trump allies (including some government officials), big business, a secret-money group and a family member of a person who received a presidential pardon among those filling the group's coffers ahead of next year's midterms. Even in an era of overflowing money in politics, the massive sum sticks out. It is a sign that Trump's political operation will continue to wield major influence even though Trump himself is barred by term limits from running for president again. The group spent just $4.6 million over that time, meaning it has more than $196 million banked away as Trump continues to put his stamp on the Republican Party and looks to keep Congress in GOP control in the 2026 midterm elections. Trump also has yet more money nestled away in other committees he can use for various political causes. The list of MAGA Inc. donors included Elizabeth Fago of Florida, who made a donation of $1 million on April 3. Nursing home executive Paul Walczak, Fago's son, received a pardon from Trump on April 23 after pleading guilty to tax crimes months earlier. According to The New York Times, Walczak's pardon application highlighted Fago's political activity, and Fago attended a pricey fundraiser for the Trump super PAC shortly before Walczak received a pardon. Fago's $1 million donation exceeds all of her previous individual donations to GOP campaigns combined, according to Federal Election Commission records. Billionaire GOP megadonor Jeff Yass, who donated $16 million to the group, was the Trump super PAC's top donor. After sending MAGA Inc. $1 million days before Trump's inauguration, Yass gave another $15 million in early March. His trading firm holds a significant stake in the parent company of the Chinese social media giant TikTok, and Trump has repeatedly delayed implementing legislation banning the app in America until it could be sold to an American owner. The second-largest donation in the new report, $13.75 million, came from a nonprofit group called Securing American Greatness, Inc. The nonprofit popped up in 2024 and ran ads on Trump's behalf ahead of last year's election, and it doesn't have to publicly disclose its donors. Kelcy Warren, the head of energy company Energy Transfer LP, gave the Trump super PAC another $12.5 million, while cryptocurrency firms Foris DAX and gave $10 million and $5 million, respectively. Elon Musk also chipped in $5 million to MAGA Inc. on June 27, when he also gave the same amounts to the main Republican super PACs involved in House and Senate races. Musk spent heavily to help Trump win in 2024 and joined his White House. But just weeks before his donation to the pro-Trump group, Musk left the White House while criticizing Trump's signature tax cuts and spending bill and while attacking the president for his ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Kelly Loeffler, who is now a member of Trump's Cabinet as head of the Small Business Administration, gave $2.5 million to MAGA Inc. on June 25. Her husband, Intercontinental Exchange CEO Jeffrey Sprecher, gave another $2.5 million. Jared Isaacman, the billionaire entrepreneur Trump tapped to lead NASA before pulling his nomination in early June, gave the group $1 million on the final day of June. And Warren Stephens, the Arkansas-based businessman whom Trump tapped as his ambassador to the United Kingdom, gave $1 million. Other prominent donors include: Venture capitalists Ben Horowitz and Marc Andreesen, who each gave $3 million. Ronald Lauder, an heir to the Estée Lauder cosmetics and pro-Israel activist, who gave $5 million. Billionaire businessman Timothy Mellon, who gave almost $2 million. Lynsi Snyder-Ellingson, the president of In-N-Out Burger, who gave $2 million. William Ford, an investment CEO who also serves on the board of TikTok parent company ByteDance, who gave $1.25 million. Antonio Gracias, a private equity CEO who served in a high-ranking, volunteer role with Trump's "Department of Government Efficiency," who gave $1 million. 4 key takeaways from Amazon's Q2 earnings

Amazon earnings beat expectations in the second quarter, but it wasn't enough to calm investors' concerns over AI competition and its weak profit guidance. On Thursday, the e-commerce giant reported $167.7 billion in net sales and earnings of $1.68 per share, which smashed analyst estimates. Despite the strong results, the company's stock fell 7% in after-hours trading. Investors were spooked by Amazon's profit outlook for the third quarter, which projected operating income between $15.5 billion and $20.5 billion, against Wall Street's estimate of $19.41 billion. From where Amazon is in the AI race to competition with Starlink, here are our four key takeaways from the Q2 earnings call. 1. Tariff impacts have been limited, so far CEO Andy Jassy said tariffs haven't had a major impact on the business so far in 2025. He cited strong Prime Day sales as evidence that consumer demand remains resilient, though Prime Day was in July after Q2 wrapped. Jassy said on the earnings call that the company hasn't seen "diminishing demand" or "meaningfully appreciating prices" so far, though he said that could change later in the year. He added during an analyst question session that it's still unclear "who's going to end up absorbing the higher costs." Jassy also pointed to Amazon's 2 million third-party sellers as a key advantage, which often offer more flexible prices. "Tariffs appear overstated for now, and Amazon remains the go-to destination for online deals and continues to draw strong consumer and brand engagement," Brent Thill, senior technology research analyst at Jefferies, wrote in a recent note before the earnings report. 2. Competition with Elon Musk's Starlink Jassy said the race for satellite-based broadband internet is now largely a two-player game, between "the incumbent" — widely understood to be Musk's Starlink — and Amazon's own Project Kuiper. On the earnings call, Jassy told investors that price will be a key differentiator for Kuiper, along with Amazon's existing relationships with enterprise and government clients, many of whom are also interested in its AI offerings. While Kuiper has faced delays, Jassy said the service is on track to enter commercial beta later this year or in early 2026. In April, Amazon sent its first batch of 27 Kuiper internet satellites into low Earth orbit. At least 54 crafts are in orbit; Amazon plans a constellation of 3,236 satellites. 3. Excitement around Alexa+ Amazon touted Alexa+, its AI-enabled voice assistant that launched in February, as an action-focused chatbot that can complete tasks that others can't. "She's much more intelligent than her prior self," Jassy said of the improvement over the prior version of Alexa. "She's much more capable, and I would say unlike the other chatbots that are out there today, who are good at answering questions, but really can't take any action for you, Alexa+ can take a lot of action for you." Some examples of what Alexa+ can do include playing music, moving music between devices, drawing curtains, turning lights on, and changing the thermostat temperature, Jassy said. Millions of customers have been given early access to Alexa+, and Jassy told the call that the feedback has been "very positive." Jassy also said that Alexa+ could incorporate advertisements or a subscription element in the future. 4. Jassy was asked if AWS is behind in the AI race Jassy faced tough questions about how AWS is addressing competition from its cloud computing rivals. Brian Nowak, an analyst from Morgan Stanley, asked Jassy to respond to the Wall Street narrative that "AWS is falling behind" in the generative AI race and losing share to its competitors. Jassy said it was "early" in the AI space and that the industry was "top-heavy." He didn't address directly how AWS is responding to competitors, but said he thinks the company is well-positioned as AI adoption expands. "Remember, 85% to 90% of the global IT spend is still on premises. If you believe that equation is going to flip, which I do, and we do, you have a lot of legacy infrastructure that you've got to move," Jassy said.
