Shelton breaks Fucsovics

Follow live coverage from day six at The Championships as the sport's biggest stars, including Skinner, Djokovic and Shelton, shine and advance Getty Images The stars were out on day six of the 2025 Wimbledon Championship and they all left little doubt en route to victories. No. 1 Jannik Sinner made light work of his match against Spain's Pedro Martinez with a straight sets win. Mirra Andreeva (7) also won her match in straight sets against USA's Hailey Baptiste. Emma Navarro (10) outlasted 2024 Wimbledon champion Barbora Krejčíková and Iga Świątek (8) eased past Danielle Collins in straight sets. To conclude today's festivities, Novak Djokovic (6) and American Ben Shelton (10) powered past their respective opponents in straight sets as they were loudly supported by Wimbledon's faithful. Get involved: live@ Shelton 3-1* Fucsovics While it's always fun to watch Shelton's shotmaking, his enthusiasm is unmatched. He rips a forehand down the line to break Fucsovics' serve and lets out a roar just minutes into this match. Getty Images FINAL: de Minaur 6-4, 7-6(7), 6-3 Holmgren No. 11 Alex de Minaur gets it done in straight sets, defeating August Holmgren. He now awaits the winner of Miomir Kecmanovic and Novak Djokovic. Shelton 2-1* Fucsovics Neither player has dropped a point when serving yet as Shelton leads 2-1 in the first set. There is a brief medical timeout as Fucsovics has an injury to his right middle finger that is tended to by the medical staff. Miomir Kecmanovic and Novak Djokovic take Centre Court to close out day six at Wimbledon. Shelton 1-0* Fucsovics Away we go as Ben Shelton faces Márton Fucsovics. The American starts with the serve and quickly takes the first game. This match has been pushed back a while but Ben Shelton and Márton Fucsovics are finally taking the grass. Both players played briefly yesterday after their matches on Thursday were postponed due to darkness. You might be surprised when you hear what one of Iga Świątek's favorite meals is... Barbora Krejčíková was not feeling her best today but still put forth a gutsy effort on the grass. The crowd repaid her with a standing ovation as she left the court. Getty Images FINAL: Świątek 6-2, 6-3 Collins No. 8 Iga Świątek won 61 of 103 points, beating Danielle Collins in straight sets to advance the fourth round. She will face No. 23 Clara Tauson next, who eliminated No. 11 Elena Rybakina in straight sets earlier today. Getty Images FINAL: Krejčíková 6-2, 3-6, 3-6 Navarro Navarro has triple match point but Krejčíková pulls out a beautiful backhand, ripping it down the line. However, on the next point, Krejčíková fires a return shot into the net and that will do it. Gutsy effort from last year's champion but ultimately Navarro prevailed to advance. Getty Images Krejčíková 6-2, 3-6, 3-5* Navarro This is a tough scene... After Krejčíková drops the point, she takes a moment to herself near the back wall and appears to be in tears, clearly not feeling her best. The crowd gives her a cheer of support. Krejčíková 6-2, 3-6, 3-4* Navarro Another game, another break. Krejčíková is persevering but she does not look like herself. She gets a double fault and then moment later, she pushes a backhand wide to drop the point. Critical game coming up here. Getty Images Krejčíková 6-2, 3-6, *3-3 Navarro Whatever is plaguing Krejčíková is visible yet she somehow mustered the ability to break Navarro to even this deciding set 3-3. She looks a step slower and her shot is not as powerful but she continues to battle. FINAL: Dimitrov 6-3, 6-4, 7-6 (7) Ofner Grigor Dimitrov is through to the fourth round where he will face the No. 1 seeded Jannik Sinner. Dimitrov recorded 15 aces in his win today, which was his 100th Grand Slam win. Krejčíková 6-2, 3-6, 2-3* Navarro Another break, this time for Navarro. Holding double break point, she blasts a backhand down the line that gave Krejčíková no chance of returning the shot. After the game, Krejčíková was examined by the medical staff after feeling faint. Moments later, she grabs her racket and returns to the court. Krejčíková 6-2, 3-6, *2-2 Navarro After having her serve broken, Krejčíková returns the favor. Navarro attempts to play a dropshot just over the net but unfortunately for her, the shot just does not have enough power. This match could come down to the wire. FINAL: Alexandrova 6-3, 7-6 (7) Sönmez Impressive showing by Ekaterina Alexandrova to advance past Zeynep Sönmez in straight sets, though the second one required a tiebreak. She excelled returning serve, winning 33 receiving points and going 4-6 on break points. Barbora Krejčíková has just missed five break points on the Emma Navarro serve to open up a 2-0 lead at the start of the third and final set. Instead Navarrro holds and the defending champion is now 3/14 on break points. It gets worse for Krejčíková as she's broken to love in the next game, and having been a set and a break up is now on the brink of elimination. Getty Images Świątek 6-2, 0-0* Collins In 39 minutes, Iga Świątek has taken the opening set against Danielle Collins. Everything has gone the former world No. 1's way as Collins ended up slipping and landing on the ground a couple of times in that set. Some 13 unforced errors from the American show where she can improve heading into the second set. She has gone off court for a short break.

Novak Djokovic joins Roger Federer in exclusive Wimbledon men's club

Novak Djokovic brought up a century of Wimbledon wins as he moved smoothly into the fourth round. The 38-year-old eased past fellow Serbian Miomir Kecmanovic 6-3 6-0 6-4 on Centre Court. Djokovic is now just five wins behind Wimbledon's only other male centurion, his great rival Roger Federer on 105 match victories. 'Very historic, it sounds very nice,' he said. 'Tennis made me who I am, it has given me incredible things in life so I try not to take anything for granted, especially at my age and trying to compete with the younger players. Advertisement 'Wimbledon is a favourite tournament, not just for myself but for most players. Any history I make at my favourite tournament, I'm blessed.' Apart from being broken when he served for the match, it was a pretty routine display for the seven-time champion, although one spectacular diving backhand volleyed winner after a lung-busting rally will make the highlights reel. Novak Djokovic, left, hugs compatriot Miomir Kecmanovic (Mike Egerton/PA) That shot thrilled the Saturday SW19 crowd and a host of sports glitterati in the Royal Box including Sir Geoff Hurst, Sir Steve Redgrave and Lord Botham. The Centre Court punters could be forgiven for feeling a little short-changed, however, after three one-sided contests. Advertisement Certainly the 11pm curfew was never in danger after Jannik Sinner dropped just five games against Pedro Martinez and Iga Swiatek beat Danielle Collins in straight sets, before Djokovic disposed of his 25-year-old countryman in an hour and 47 minutes. Djokovic, bidding for a record 25th grand slam title, will face Australian 11th seed Alex De Minaur in his 17th appearance in the last 16 at Wimbledon.
