On May 2, 2025, Jakara Jackson was released by the WWE brand following the big main roster. Speaking in her recent YouTube video, Jakara Jackson expressed her opinions, mentioning that she is looking forward to the ring but has no intention to quit wrestling. She was part of the Meta-Four group alongside Lash Legend, Oro Mensah, and Noam Dar. The group had a mutual separation following Noam Dar's return to NXT after a long injury break, which may be the reason the company let go of the rest of the group.

Jakara Jackson's journey in WWE will be remembered
Jakara Jackson was signed by WWE in 2022, and for the longest time, she performed in NXT by being the prime member of Meta-Four. In a recent episode of NXT, the Meta-Four faction decided to mutually part ways on-screen. Jackson also competed recently at NXT Stand & Deliver, where she gave an electrifying performance. Despite never getting a call-up to the main roster, she made her appearance several times on RAW and SmackDown with Lashley, showing their bond as a tag team. Her presence in the WWE was beyond measure as she had also become a known face on TNA shows, drawing attention to herself as a young talent.

'Can you share Virat Kohli's number?': R Ashwin foils scam attempt by fake ‘Devon Conway' after IPL 2025
Ravichandran Ashwin recounted a strange episode post-IPL 2025, when he became the target of an unusual scam in which someone posed as Devon Conway. The veteran recalled the incident after a similar incident occurred involving Rajat Patidar, whose old SIM card was reassigned in Chhattisgarh, inadvertently leading to calls from Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers to an unsuspecting new user. Ravichandran Ashwin recalls an incident when a fraudster asked for Virat Kohli's number.(PTI) Ashwin shared that he got a WhatsApp message from someone posing as his CSK teammate Devon Conway. The chat began innocently, with casual greetings and talk about MLC matches to make the story sound genuine. Since he didn't have Conway's number saved, he initially thought it was really him. Ashwin grew suspicious when the supposed Conway suddenly asked for Virat Kohli's contact number. He didn't want to create any misunderstanding with the real Conway and decided to share a different number instead. "After the IPL got over, one guy messaged me claiming to be Devon Conway, 'Hi buddy, how are you?' and I also responded that we'll stay in touch. You're playing in MLC; I'll watch the games and all that talk. He then asked, 'I've missed Virat Kohli's number, can you share Virat's number?' I thought Why is he asking Virat's number. I thought I should ask him, but I didn't want Devon Conway to misunderstand. Then I picked Virat Kohli's card and gave him a different number," Ashwin said on his YouTube channel. Ashwin bluffs the fraudster The veteran all-rounder revealed how the events that unfolded confirmed his suspicions, as he managed to outwit the scammer by cleverly calling their bluff. "Once I shared it, he replied, 'I've lost a few more numbers.' I asked him whose numbers, he responded, 'Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni.' I got suspicious and then asked him a question, 'I gave you a bat this year, how's that bat?'. He said the bat is amazing, and I've not even gave him any bat, he lied and I blocked him instantly,' Ashwin added about the encounter. Realising the scam, Ashwin later confirmed it by checking Conway's number on the CSK official WhatsApp group and went on to block the scammer's number.

Karrion Kross on August 11 confirmed that he is no longer with the WWE and added that he will soon be taking independent booking. Scarlett, his wife and manager, too has apparently been let go by the company. While this seems to be legit, there may be more to the situation. Veteran journalist Dave Meltzer has stated in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that everyone backstage is 'skeptical' about whether this is a shoot. This suggests that the whole thing may just be work. He had also earlier stated that WWE offered Kross and Scarlett contracts ahead of the end of their current deals. This has further added to the mystery surrounding their status. Karrion Kross released: Is it a work? WWE, like most pro wrestling companies, is a storyline-driven product. In fact, the whole business thrives on Kayfabe (making things that aren't real look real). Karrion Kross to return as a heel? The WWE in recent years has constantly tried to blur the line between reality and storyline. The injury angle with Seth Rollins is a case in point. 'The Visionary' lost his match against LA Knight at Saturday Night's Main Event after 'injuring' his knee. This was described as a legitimate setback and Rollins was even seen on crutches backstage during Evolution. However, it was eventually revealed that he wasn't injured. The injury was part of a storyline and he returned at SummerSlam Night 1 to cash-in his MITB contract on a vulnerable CM Punk. This again suggests that the Karrion Kross contract situation may just be another angle. In this case, he could return as a heel and target some popular stars. Karrion Kross' rise in the WWE is undeniable Kross had emerged as a bankable mid-card heel over the last few months courtesy of his mic skills. His segments with AJ Styles and Sami Zayn were well-received. He also received a push when he squared off against the Canadian star at Night of Champions and SummerSlam, losing on both occasions. His stint with the WWE is seemingly over for now but the company's track record suggests that there may be a twist in the tale.
