Auchenlarie Holiday Park, Dumfries and Galloway
The award-winning Auchenlarie holiday park is on the beautiful coastline of Dumfries and Galloway.
The best part though is that it has direct access to a secluded beach overlooking picturesque Wigtown Bay.

While writer Catherine Lofthouse was on a recent visit, her kids had a play on the new 26ft-tall, four-storey playframe - Skyline Gang Soft Play.
She added: "I'll always have a soft spot for the previous softplay in the Skyline, where I could keep one eye on the stage and the other on the kids playing while enjoying a glass of wine and a show."

Camber Sands Holiday Park
Camber Sands in East Sussex is always a popular coastal spot because of its long sandy beach and dunes.
It's often described as being one of the best beaches in England by visitors - and was by Sun readers last year too.
It's also got a great Parkdean holiday park that looks right over the beach.
Other facilities include its four indoor pools and waterslides, splash park, as well as its climbing wall, Laser Quest and high ropes course.
Book it: There's availability for seven nights between 25 August - 1 September 2025 in an Hartfield Caravan which sleeps eight.
It costs £875 - which is £15.63 per person.

The sea might be chilly, but it's a great place to dip your toes and build sandcastles.

Devon Cliffs Holiday Park is Haven's biggest site, and it's right next to Exmouth Beach.
It has a two-mile long beach with sands and lots of rock pools ready to be explored.
The South Beach Cafe on Sandy Bay Beach at Haven's Devon Cliffs site as has been described by visitors has having the "feel of an Ibiza chill out bar."
The cafe serves lots of seafood dishes and serves breakfast for anyone taking an early morning stroll.
The other major attractions at the holiday park include the indoor water complex.
Along with a swimming pool, there are also slides and flumes and new this year is their tube slides, where guests sit on inflatable rings.
There is also an indoor soft play, outdoor NERF activity camps and 4x4 off roaders, outdoor pools, aerial adventures and nature trails.

The Greenacres Holiday Park on Black Rock Sands with two-and-a-half miles of unspoilt beach - and there's a castle there too.
From the park you can see Criccieth Castle to the left and Harlech Castle to the right.

Perched on top of the cliffs overlooking Ladram Bay is an award-winning holiday park.
The beautiful spot in Devon is very popular with a big indoor pool, adventure playground, and climbing wall as well as on-site restaurants.
One Sun writer visited with her family in July said: "We could hear the waves lapping the shore from our cottage — a literal stone's throw to the beach.
"And when we visited Portugal just a few weeks later, I looked out at the coastline, from our accommodation, and realised it didn't look too different at all from that special view back at Ladram."
Her other highlights included the "magnificent" indoor pool as well as free family playtimes and exercise classes.
She enjoyed a fresh breakfast at the on-site Beach Shack cafe overlooking the sea.
And there's even an on-site chippy called Coast Takeaway where you can collect your order and head to the beach.
The holiday park is also loved by TV personality Josie Gibson.
The This Morning star has been spotted in Ladram Bay multiple times, and even did a segment on paddleboarding there on This Morning.

It's next to the Cudmore Grove National Park and has a private beach.

39 nostalgic photos capture golden age of Butlin's holiday camps
These nostalgic photos capture half a century of fun at Butlin's holiday camps around the UK, from 1936 to 1985. From glamorous granny contests to square dancing, or simply relaxing by the pool, they show why the camps were so popular back then, pulling in punters from miles around. The first Butlin's in Skegness was officially opened on April 11, 1936, by the famous aviator Amy Johnson, the first woman to fly solo from England to Australia. A second camp followed in Clacton, Essex, in 1938, and construction of a third, in Filey, Yorkshire, got underway in 1939. At its peak in the late 60s, there were 10 Butlin's holiday camps, and the famous firm also ran a number of large hotels. The camps' popularity declined with the rise of cheap overseas holidays in the 1960s, but there are still three Butlin's sites, in Bognor Regis, Minehead and Skegness. This retro photo gallery captures the golden age of Butlin's, from the 1930s to the 1960s. It also shows how, while they may have lost some of their sheen by then, the camps remained popular with many holidaymakers during the 1980s. Fairground rides, limbo competitions and sing-alongs are pictured, as are the famous monorails which opened at Skegness and Minehead in the 60s. You can see celebrity guests over the years too, from a royal visitor to F1 champions and a boxing star. These evocative photos also show families enjoying the boating lake, honeymooning couples relaxing beside the pool, and, of course, the famous Redcoats preparing for duty in their chalet. The pictures depict too how the camps were taken over by the armed forces during the Second World War, when troops could be seen preparing for action with signs advertising bikes and mechanical horses for hire in the background. The Butlin's story began when founder Billy Butlin visited Barry Island and felt sorry for families there staying in 'drab' guest houses with little to do. He set out to make seaside breaks affordable for all, creating a 'place of colour and happiness', with plenty of entertainment for visitors of all ages. Key to that were the famous Redcoats, the team of workers who looked after and entertained guests at Butlin's holiday camps. That role has proved a springboard to success for many stars of light entertainment, from Des O'Connor and Jimmy Tarbuck to Stephen Mulhern. These photos are sure to bring back memories of Butlin's for anyone who grew up during the 60s, 70s and 80s or earlier and was lucky enough to visit with their families. Many of them have probably continued the family tradition by treating their children or grandchildren to a day out or a week away at one of the remaining Butlin's resorts. For 2025, Kate Middleton spoke of how she has been comforted by nature over the past year, during which she received treatment for cancer. Spreading a message of love, she has now released a second video through the Kensington Palace social media accounts highlighting the natural beauty of British summertime. She wrote a post on X, signed off with her initial: 'Our lives flourish when we cherish the bonds of love and friendship. It has never been more important to appreciate the value of one another, and of Mother Nature. Here's to Summer. C' Her voiceover is played over video shot by Will Warr, from TopJaw fame, depicting an idyllic vision of British summertime without the raging wildfires. It does include awe-inspiring moments from the UK's landscape, a pollinating bee, huge trees, crashing waves, towering cliffs and children playing in sand dunes. Catherine says: 'Summer is a season for abundance. Just as the flowers bloom and the fruits ripen, we too are reminded of our own potential for growth. It is the time to ignite our inner fire and explore our own creativity, passions, and dreams. 'As we bask in the sunlit hours, friends and families come together; playing, connecting, being present. It comes after a furore over her message, which led to her picture being pulled from news agencies, in a row over manipulation which dragged on for weeks and led to a public apology. She told how discrepancies seen in the family photo were not part of some big conspiracy, but her 'amateur' attempts at picture editing. The princess came under scrutiny following her Mother's Day message last year, which included a photo of her and her children said to have been taken by William in Windsor earlier in the week. Questions were raised that the image – the first of the princess to have been released after she underwent abdominal surgery a few weeks earlier – may have been manipulated before it was posted on social media. It was withdrawn by international picture agencies later the same day. Kate publicly took the blame for the manipulated photograph and issued a personal apology for the 'confusion'. She said: 'Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing. 'I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused. 'I hope everyone celebrating had a very happy Mother's Day. C.' The princess underwent a course of preventative chemotherapy after her cancer diagnosis and announced in September last year that she had completed her treatment.
