Caitlyn Jenner's private texts to her children revealed as she guzzles wine in Israel bunker amid Iran missile strike
Caitlyn Jenner was drinking wine and texting members of her family while bombs rained down near her Tel Aviv hotel on Friday night, the Daily Mail can reveal.
As Iran pounded Israel with ballistic missiles in a counterstrike, the 75-year-old former Olympian told loved ones that she is taking every precaution to stay safe.
'Please pray,' the former Olympian texted one family member from a secure area. 'I'm holding up okay.' When asked if the bombs were loud, Jenner merely responded 'yes.'
The family member told the Daily Mail that Jenner had phone service throughout the first wave of the attack and handed situation calmly.
She even posed for a photo holding a glass of red wine with influencer Regev Gur.
Jenner was in Tel Aviv to headline Friday's Pride parade, and posted photos of herself in some of the region's most iconic spots: Kibbutz Be'eri, the Nova Festival site, and Jerusalem 's Western Wall.
In her posts, Jenner expressed support for the country.
'I am excited to share that I will be in Israel this week,' she wrote 'I'm visiting the resilient people of Israel as the nation continues to recover and restore its place in the Middle East. Stay tuned!'
'My heart is here, with the beautiful people, in Israel,' she wrote on another post.
Members of Jenner's inner circle say that she had been looking forward to the trip for weeks.
'She was very excited to be there for the parade,' says the family member. 'This was a bucket list item. It was supposed to be a great time.'
But the night before the parade, Israel carried out a military strike against Iran, targeting nuclear sites.
Organizers cancelled the parade out of safety concerns, but Jenner ended up stranded in the country as airports shut down.
On Friday evening, Iran returned fire, raining bombs down across the country, including in Tel Aviv, where Jenner has been staying.
Buildings were destroyed and dozens were wounded as some of the missiles broke through Israel's Iron Dome air defense system.
Extraordinary photos showed Iranian rockets being intercepted above Tel Aviv skyscrapers as air raid sirens wailed through the streets.
'She told us not to worry,' a family member tells the Daily Mail. 'She says she'll be fine and that Israel will protect her.'
Jenner has been in contact with the American Embassy in Tel Aviv, who advised her to shelter in a windowless area near her hotel.
As the bombs began to drop, Jenner posted an image of the missile defense system lighting up the skies on social media.
''Quiet' night in Tel Aviv. Pray for us all. We will prevail,' the post read. 'I am happy to stand with Israel today, now more than ever.'
A post shared on social media showed Jenner drinking wine with social media influencer Regev Gur, in what looked like a bomb shelter.
'And what did you do during the sirens?' the influencer captioned the post, 'because I'm drinking wine with Caitlyn.'

Robin, 31, says: 'It was such a horrific accident and I can't believe we have lost them both. 'I then had to give birth to our daughter Roane on my own, and I'm bringing up my two boys without Willem. 'When their little sister grows up, I'm going to tell her all about her amazing dad and little sister. 'I will make sure they are never forgotten.' In the days leading up to the tragedy, the couple were thrilled to be expecting again, and were looking forward to their upcoming gender reveal party. Robin, who lives in South Africa, says: 'I was 16 weeks pregnant, and more than anything I wanted to have a gender reveal party. 'I'd never had one before, even though I'd already given birth to three children, but this pregnancy was going to be my last baby and I wanted to do something special.' 'After a few months we decided to go for a drink together one night after work, and from then on we became a couple,' she recalls. 'He was my soulmate. My Mr Right. I felt a depth of love that I'd never felt for anyone before. And he felt the same about me. It was as though we didn't need anyone else but each other.' The couple welcomed their daughter, Shylo, a couple of years later in 2022. 'Willem was the most amazing dad,' she says. 'He doted on Shylo and he was amazing to my two boys from a previous relationship. 'I couldn't believe my luck in finding him. It was as though it was meant to be. We were crazy about each other. 'We spent night after night outside our house with a campfire, just talking and looking up at the stars. And talking about our future together as a family.' 5 5 The couple had been trying for another baby when Robin sadly suffered a miscarriage in 2023. 'I was convinced that something had been wrong for me to have lost it like that,' she says. 'It had never happened to me before, and I'd been distraught over it. 'So when I found out I'd fallen pregnant again, the following year Willem was thrilled, but I was so anxious in case it happened again. 'I was scared, but he was convinced it was going to be alright.' Day of disaster Robin told her mum that she wanted a gender reveal party and she said she would organise it. So at 16 weeks pregnant, on August 30, 2024, the couple drove over to the hospital to have a scan. Robin says: 'We'd brought the kids with us. 'I lay on the scanning table and the doctor ran the scanner over my stomach. 'The heartbeat was strong and clear. It was so tempting to ask what we were having, but we asked the doctor to write it on a piece of paper whether it was a boy or girl, and we sealed it up. 'There was no way we were going to spoil the surprise at our reveal party.' On the way back from the hospital, the couple called in at Robin's mum's house and handed over the envelope so that she could organise the right colour for the reveal. 'We'd brought her some shopping too, and we told her about the scan and how it had gone,' Robin says. 'We talked about who we were going to invite, but I was leaving it up to her to organise. I couldn't wait. 'After a while we said our goodbyes, and we all got in the car to drive home. 'We lived about an hour from mum, and it was dark driving on the highway. 'Willem, one of my boys, and Shylo had also been thrown out of the car on impact. 'My other son was the only one left in the car. 'In total shock I looked at Willem, and he had blood coming out of the side of his mouth. 'He wasn't moving. I knew that he was gone. The boys were ok, with just cuts and bruises. 'But Shylo lay there motionless. Not my baby too. 'I knew there was nothing I could do for Willem, but Shylo was barely alive. I cradled her in my arms, tears pouring down my face.' Tragic last breath A couple of passers-by stopped by the wreckage and called an ambulance, but for Shylo it was too late. 'Just 45 minutes later, Shylo took her last breath in my arms,' the mum recalls. 'The ambulance arrived two hours later, and they couldn't revive her. I'd lost both my husband and my beautiful daughter, just like that they were gone. 'It just seemed like some terrible dream.' The ambulance took Robin and the two boys to hospital where they were checked over. 'I didn't know if my unborn baby had survived,' she says. 'But they did a scan and the heartbeat was still there. 'Willem had been right about one thing, when he had told me this baby was going to be ok.' Dazed and confused, I looked around. There was shattered glass everywhere The boys had X-rays and scans too and luckily it showed they had no broken bones. While she and her baby were unharmed, Robin struggled with the heartbreak of losing her family while trying to carry on with her pregnancy. She says: 'I didn't know how I was going to be able to carry on without Willem and Shylo. My soulmate and my daughter were gone. 'I went through the rest of my pregnancy in my blur. 'My bump was growing, but Willem wasn't there to see it. 'I just felt numb through it all. What should have been such a happy time was so empty for me. 'I could feel the baby kicking, and wanted to share it with him so badly.' Robin delivered their daughter Roane in February this year. 'Willem should have been there by my side,' she says. 'He would have loved to have had another daughter. He'd been so excited about this baby, and he'd never even gotten to know she was a girl. 'I wish with all my heart that he'd been able to meet her. Zelenskyy warns oil price surge could help Russia's war effort
A sharp rise in global oil prices following Israeli strikes on Iran will benefit Russia and bolster its military capabilities in the war in Ukraine, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Friday in comments that were under embargo until Saturday afternoon. Speaking to journalists in Kyiv, Zelenskyy said the surge in oil prices threatens Ukraine's position on the battlefield, especially because Western allies have not enforced effective price caps on Russian oil exports. 'The strikes led to a sharp increase in the price of oil, which is negative for us,' Zelenskyy said. 'The Russians are getting stronger due to greater income from oil exports.' Global oil prices rose as much as 7% after Israel and Iran exchanged attacks over the past 48 hours, raising concerns that further escalation in the region could disrupt oil exports from the Middle East. Zelenskyy to address concerns with the US Zelenskyy said he planned to raise the issue in an upcoming conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump. 'In the near future, I will be in contact with the American side, I think with the president, and we will raise this issue,' he said. Zelenskyy also expressed concern that U.S. military aid could be diverted away from Ukraine toward Israel during renewed tensions in the Middle East. 'We would like aid to Ukraine not to decrease because of this,' he said. 'Last time, this was a factor that slowed down aid to Ukraine.' Ukraine's military needs have been sidelined by the United States in favor of supporting Israel, Zelenskyy said, citing a shipment of 20,000 interceptor missiles, designed to counter Iran-made Shahed drones, that had been intended for Ukraine but were redirected to Israel. 'And for us it was a blow,' he said. 'When you face 300 to 400 drones a day, most are shot down or go off course, but some get through. We were counting on those missiles.' An air defense system, Barak-8, promised to Ukraine by Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu was sent to the U.S. for repairs but never delivered to Ukraine, Zelenskyy said. The Ukrainian president conceded that momentum for the Coalition of the Willing, a group of 31 countries which have pledged to strengthen support for Ukraine against Russian aggression, has slowed because of U.S. ambivalence over providing a backstop. 'This situation has shown that Europe has not yet decided for itself that it will be with Ukraine completely if America is not there,' he said. Coalition of the Willing offer under consideration The offer of a foreign troop 'reassurance force' pledged by the Coalition of the Willing was still on the table 'but they need a backstop, as they say, from America,' Zelenskyy said. 'This means that suddenly, if something happens, America will be with them and with Ukraine.' The Ukrainian president also said the presence of foreign contingents in Ukraine would act as a security guarantee and allow Kyiv to make territorial compromises, which is the first time he has articulated a link between the reassurance force and concessions Kyiv is willing to make in negotiations with Russia. 'It is simply that their presence gives us the opportunity to compromise, when we can say that today our state does not have the strength to take our territories within the borders of 1991,' he said. But Europe and Ukraine are still waiting on strong signals from Trump. Without crushing U.S. sanctions against Russia, 'I will tell you frankly, it will be very difficult for us,' Zelenskyy said, adding that it would then fall on Europe to step up military aid to Ukraine. Body and prisoner returns follow Istanbul talks In other developments, Russia repatriated more bodies of fallen soldiers in line with an agreement reached during peace talks in Istanbul between Russian and Ukrainian delegations, Russian officials said Saturday, cited by Russian state media. The officials said Ukraine did not return any bodies to Russia on Saturday. Ukraine's Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War confirmed in a statement that Russia returned 1,200 bodies. The first round of the staggered exchanges took place Monday. The agreement to exchange prisoners of war and the bodies of fallen soldiers was the only tangible outcome of the talks in Istanbul on June 2. Russia says push continues Continuing a renewed battlefield push along eastern and northeastern parts of the more than 1,000-kilometer (over 600-mile) front line, the Russian Defense Ministry claimed Saturday that its troops captured another village in the Donetsk region, Zelenyi Kut. The Ukrainian military had no immediate comment on the Russian claim. Russia launched 58 drones and decoys at Ukraine overnight into Saturday, according to the Ukrainian air force, which said its air defenses destroyed 23 drones while another 20 were jammed. Russia's defense ministry said it shot down 66 Ukrainian drones overnight. Attacks have continued despite discussions of a potential ceasefire in the war. During the June 2 talks in Istanbul, Russian and Ukrainian negotiators traded memorandums containing sharply divergent conditions that both sides see as nonstarters, making a quick deal unlikely. ___
