The Sustainability and Innovation Centre of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is set to host the second cycle of the CleanTech Innovators Exhibition from 24 to 26 February 2025. This event is part of DEWA's participation in UAE Innovates 2025. The exhibition will highlight the latest advancements in sustainable technologies, solutions, and innovations aimed at driving a sustainable future. It will also feature specialized seminars with participation from local and global experts.
CleanTech Innovators will present groundbreaking innovations by leading local and international professionals, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders. The exhibition will cover a wide range of sectors, including green hydrogen, sustainability, digital transformation, artificial intelligence (AI), solar power, and energy storage technologies. These innovations are key in addressing climate change and advancing sustainability efforts.
Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, emphasized the critical role of the Sustainability and Innovation Centre in strengthening the UAE and Dubai's position as a global hub for innovation. By fostering collaboration between government and private sector entities, startups, and investors, DEWA aims to accelerate the transition to net-zero and support clean energy projects. 'Our efforts during UAE Innovates 2025 focus on expanding opportunities to harness technology in the clean and renewable energy sector, promoting innovation as the cornerstone of a sustainable future,' said Al Tayer.
Waleed bin Salman, Executive Vice President of Business Development and Excellence at DEWA, reflected on the success of the first CleanTech Innovators event, noting its celebration of sustainability-driven innovations. 'The Sustainability and Innovation Centre continues to be a global platform for showcasing cutting-edge clean and renewable energy solutions,' bin Salman added.
In addition to the exhibition, DEWA's Sustainability and Innovation Centre will organize several activities during UAE Innovates 2025, including the CleanTech Connect Programme with prominent speakers and the CleanTech Hackathon, further solidifying its commitment to fostering sustainable innovation.

Dubai, UAE: The Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation (Awqaf Dubai), represented by the Mohammed bin Rashid Global Centre for Endowment Consultancy, has awarded the 'Dubai Endowment Sign' to Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), in recognition of its contribution to supporting the Sukuk Al Waqf initiative, the first charitable endowment of its kind in the region. Al Tayer expressed his delight at DEWA receiving the Dubai Endowment Sign. 'At DEWA, we are committed to our social responsibility and our national role in supporting charitable and development initiatives that contribute to achieving the vision of the wise leadership in consolidating the concepts of giving and sustainability. The Sukuk Al Waqf initiative is the first charitable endowment of its kind in the region available to individuals and companies. It reflects the global vision for endowment launched by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to revive the endowment as a developmental tool for communities.
