The 4-Key Green Key Global certification signifies 'a property that has shown national industry leadership and commitment to protecting the environment through wide-ranging policies and practices.'
'Achieving this certification validates what we've been doing for years – operating responsibly while providing exceptional guest experiences,' said Jack Handlery, General Manager of Handlery Union Square Hotel. The three-month certification process involved extensive documentation and an independent audit of the hotel's environmental practices across multiple categories, including waste minimization, energy efficiency, water conservation, and sustainable purchasing policies.
